Adina had no clue where she was. She couldn't hear the sound of others, but knew it was day because she was unable to hear the sound of chirping crickets, too. It was a strange thing, to be lost and completely unable to find help. She had attempted, numerous times, to stop and listen to her surroundings for some sort of understanding, but to no avail. And still, Adina kept on trying - unable to give up and admit to defeat.
Stopping the movement of her paws, she tensed her muscles and listened - the only sounds her pricked ears were detecting, though, was the sound of a soft wind through nearby bushes and grasses, and the croaking of a frog. 'A frog?' She thought - then deduced that she must be near some body of water; perhaps even a small pond. Still; in her condition, she thought it would be unwise to venture further; she could roam out of the pride territories! Instead of attempting to backtrack, she decided to sit back on her haunches and wait for someone to stumble upon her - though not literally, of course.

Tsubame had the day to herself. Achal had told her to take a day of rest after she came back to the den limping quite heavily after a hard day hunting and watching the cubs. It's not that she disliked having time to own but it really annoyed her that she was ordered to relax even though she has proven that she was able to keep up with her family, she would rather power through the pain then be thought of as weak by her love, sisters, and cubs.
Sighing in frustration Tsu headed down to the lake, the spot she loved to spend the most time at. The day was perfect for lounging in the shade of one of the near by tree, sunning oneself, or playing in the cool water. The sun was high and bright, beating down warmth from above. It was not oppressively hot just quite warm and there was even a soft wind that was tugging everything from the grass to Tsu's fur.
As she came upon the lake she saw that there was another lioness who had the same idea that she did. Nodding in greeting and saying "Good Morning." Tsu strolled past the lioness who was siting in the sun, until the petite lioness was wading in the shallows of the huge fresh water lake. Tsu was glad that it seemed that they were the only ones there because if there was a male around she wasn't sure exactly what the etiquette would be for greetings or regular conversation, sometimes living slightly off the beaten path was annoying.
Tsu's companion was a stranger to the petite blue lioness but that was not unusual since Tsu first stayed at the den because of her injury as well as the three cubs Achal brought back, then she had help in the form of her sister Maua but Achal grew the family with two more cubs then another sister, Ban'ma. By this time Tsu was feeling odd, which turned out she was pregnant which pretty much limited her to the area around the den and the lake which was just a short walk from the den. Now the cubs are old enough to go off with their siblings or other mothers so she was exploring her home a bit more but still found herself sticking to the areas she knew such as the lake.

Adina's ears twitched as the sound of a soft, graceful padding through underbrush was heard. Because of the weight of the paw-steps, Adina could tell it was another female - but who? As the steps drew closer to her, the other female said a polite 'good morning' and seemed to continue on. Adina felt herself tense; should she, or shouldn't she ask for help? She was lost, true, but... was she really that desperate? As an independent female, she'd never been one to accept help from others; even as a very capable Kajira. But now, she had no idea how else she'd find her way back to the den.
"Wait!" Adina called out, but softly. She wasn't sure how far the female had traveled in her moments of hesitation, but was positive it hadn't been too far. She flicked her tail nervously, frowning a bit to herself. By calling out to the other female, she'd accepted to herself that she needed help - it was inevitable, now, that'd she'd be forced to ask it of the other. "My name's Adina," she offered up to the other, in case she'd caught her attention. But other than that, she felt he couldn't say much more - especially not if the other wasn't listening.
A knot was slowly forming itself in her stomache; how could she find help in this female, but not even allow the Sultan to assist her? She had been stupid that day, but he didn't seem to hold it against her. Aali was a very kind lion; and Adina was very appreciative of that, especially now with a very kind Pad, Riad; she finally felt accepted, and it felt nice. Now, if only she could get over the little problem of her sight.

Tsu was just beginning to wade in the water when the other lioness called out. She was a little confused since she wasn't going anywhere there was no real reason to ask her to wait but Tsu did as she was asked and waited patiently with the lake laping lightly at her paws waiting to see what the purple and black lioness wanted.
When the other offered her name Tsu smiled and said, "I'm Tsubame." but she frowned when it seemed like the lioness was worried. "Is something wrong Adina?" she asked not knowing that her companion was blind since it was not something she had run into before.

Adina felt the Tsubame's watchful eyes on her, wondering why she seemed to be acting so strange. It was a wonder that she couldn't figure out what the horrible scratch marks over her right eye, as well as the milky white-yellow color meant. But no other in the pride was blind, as she, so it was very possible that it wasn't something she'd seen before. Whatever it was, Adina decided against outright telling her she was blind, and allowing Tsubame to figure it out for herself.
"Well," Adina started off, grimacing a bit at finally being forced to ask help from someone, especially one who seemed a stranger to her. "I'm sort of... lost..." She twitched her snow-colored tail nervously, hoping that the female who she now spoke to was kind, and would be more sensitive than she imagined most to be about her situation. Due to the circumstances, it was still a very touchy subject with her, and probably forever would be. It was a vain hope that the issue would vanish over night.

Tsubame came closer and finally saw the scars over Adina's face and her eyes, she didn't know how she missed that before but it did make some things clear for her. She was wondering why Adina was just siting there and not playing in the water, although that could have just been because she didnt want to, or how it seemed that at first she didnt know Tsu was still fairly close. The reason she didn't see the problem right away was because she hadn't expected it nor had she seen anyone who was blind except at a distance even then she only knew because a leopard yelled at another 'I'm blind not stupid.', she didn't fully comprehend that Adina was unable to see anything. Growing up avoiding others except at a distance severely limited Tsu's learning but it was always interesting watching her learn new things like finding out she was pregnant a while back.
"Lost? Oh well that's no big deal, I get lost here all the time." She smiled trying to relive Adina's obvious nerves, why the nerves Tsu didn't really know other then the issue with her sight. "Where do you need to go? I'm sure with both of us we can find it in no time." She offered, trying her best to be friendly.

The kindness in the other's voice caressed her in such a way that Adina felt her nerves and worry begin to wash away. The female was caring and compassionate, and now, telling by her voice, very understanding in Adina's ways. It was great to know that there were people out there like that, Adina thought. Those like Riad, she thought with a smile. Compassionate others who accepted you for who you were, even if you were unfit to be a Beybanu. It was great to know that she would always be valued by her Pad, even if she was unable to contribute to his den with activities like hunting. It even made her swell with pride that Aali had also accepted her, even unable to contribute to the pride as a whole.
Adina could hear a kind smile in the other's voice, and it made herself smile, at a thought other than her Pad. She figured the female didn't often get lost in the area; she remembered the small amount she'd seen while still a Kajira, and it hadn't seemed too terribly hard to get around. Even still, the gesture was greatly appreciated. "I'd like to get back to my den, if at all possible. Even back in the area of others would be helpful in the least," she said, thinking she'd aybe still like to meander a bit, though not as far as before; she didn't like being lost too much.

Tsu could feel the change in Adina as she seemed to relax a bit around Tsu. She didnt know what Adina was thinking but Tsu had a feeling that compassion was something the other lioness didn't really expect in life. Tsu knew that that was like except for her it wasn't compassion but love that she thought she didn't deserve. She pulled herself from her thoughts, thoughts that she hadnt had in a very long time, when Adina said that she wanted to get back to her den.
"Well I think it might be best to head to the area of the others since I really dont know where your den would be." Tsu had finally started to explore a bit and did know where the main area of the dens was so finding that wouldn't be a problem but finding a particular den was out of the question. "I wish I could help more but my mate, Achal, and our family have our den slightly removed from the others so I don't know where the individual dens are."
