What's everyone's opinion of the new layout? I hate it because I'm a Firefox user. The bottom of the page seems to be getting cut off in Firefox, meaning that I can't post new threads because the Post and Preview buttons are pushed down and cannot be scrolled to.
Also this Flash menu plays hell with my Firefox so badly that I had to AdBlock it to even be able to navigate the site. It seems to run fine with IE, which I'm posting from right now.
Is there some kind of conspiracy against Firefox users? That's what I'd like to know. I've also tested this site in KMeleon, which is another Mozilla/Netscape browser. It isn't affected by the speed issue very much, but the Post and Preview buttons for new topics are also being cut off in it.

I don't think that it's a conspiracy, at least. I don't find it convenient, though, either. If anything stretches the page, it's just cut off. So if anyone posts a spam stretcher, you can't read more than about a lines worth of anything.

I'm using Firefox and it's loading correctly. I don't think that the change was necessary though.
That said, I happen to be going through a lot of small changes recently that I don't like, so I don't feel like having another thing change.

I know what you mean. I loathe change that's forced upon me without my consent. I need to know about things like this in advance so I can prepare for them mentally.
Well, now that the new layout seems to be working better, I can honestly say that I don't care anymore. I just wish they'd beta test stuff like this in many different browsers before foisting it on those of us who don't use the festering disease bag known as Internet Explorer.

Well said. xd Anyway, what I'd like to see is an option in yuor profile to use either this layout or the old layout.

Indeed. If we can skin our own profiles with CSS, why not the whole board? I've been on plenty of boards that had different CSS skins/layouts that I could choose from. I don't think it'd be too much of a stretch to let us skin Gaia in our settings. I'd sign a petition if someone started it.

I'm a Firefox user too, but I like the new layout. It's easier to get around to a certain point, and yeah it does get slow every now and then. But other than that I like it.

I personally just love the new layout. I think it was a good idea and I don't see why people complained about it.

I really didn't like beta version during testing mode. Now, it seems better, but I still can't edit my avatar. Whenever I try, the toolbar that shows choose pose, save changes, and cancel changes appears where my avatar should be, and the avatar doesn't show up! scream

At first I hated it with a passion, but now, well, it's not too bad. I like the shop idea though with the new layout, it's kinda nice. I like the skins for the profile, but the navagation of it, I just don't like. It's too confusing and often when I want to go to one place, I end up clicking on another by accident which is a pain.
