Maansi stood lapping water after her lesson. She had done as she was instructed and it had led to a stronger thirst for the inside of the volcano. Currently, however her thoughts were on her teacher, who seemed very irritated with her. She had always been good at immitation and making that immitation her own. For her current teacher it seemed to much. She frowned at his behavior, which seemed to only limit her and wondered if she should move along. Her teacher did not seem as though he liked the idea of her surpassing him, just yet, or at all.
Maansi moved back sitting before the water and thinking on her demon and the name she was to recieve. She was feeling more like a demon as the days passed. Her movement had changed slightly and she felt stronger. Her knowledge of the ways of the pride was steadily improving and she did not feel need to be a silent observer anymore. She questioned, mimicked and made everything her own.
She grinned her feral grin and wondered if the odd quirk was her demon showing itself. She felt ready. Ready for the volcano, ready for her name, and ready to be a demon.

Drathir found himself heading to the watering hole as well, though he was returning from a patrol of the borders, ensuring his reign was well known and speaking with the border guard. The day was hot and he was panting when he arrived, choosing to slip into the water to cool off rather then drink from the bank.
It was only after he was swimming that he decided to acknowledge Maansi - a curiously frequent figure in his life now - and offered a nod of greeting. "Hello Maansi. You look well, are you finding the proper path?" That she bore no awful scars was a testament to her ability to adapt and he approved.

Maansi looked up from her thought to see Drathir swimming, she watched him momentarily knowing he knew she was there. Her feral grin returned to her face when he acknowledged her and she nodded to him.
"Hello Drathir. I feel well, better than well," she responded. "I would say the I am on the proper path and advancing down it quickly, but with caution. I train with my teacher, although he seems very irritated with me."
Maansi rolled her eyes at the thought. "However, I think he is annoyed with his own inability to best me."
Maansi watched the water rippling. She was tempted to enter, but reluctant to have her fur soaked, making her coat heavy. "Soon I will speak with the priest," she stated confidence ringing clear in her voice.
