Gwenie was playing by herself today. She had wiggled away from her siblings and family and had found herself entertained by her own shadow. She would pounce at it and bite, giggling every time it seemed to wiggle out of her reach, her paws empty but temper willing to press on. She wanted so badly to get a hold of it and never let go.

"Oh, come on!"

She frowned. Damn thing kept running away!

Tawaret, unknown to the other female godling, was actually in the same situation. She had managed to wiggle away from her brother and sister (though it wasn't all too hard to leave Dakota, considering how badly they always fought) behind while she went out and explored a bit.

And by exploring, she practiced her stealth.

She slid from rock to rock, hiding behind them, crouched in the same form as the solid barrier that hid her from sight--from one angle at least--before slinking off as quickly and as gracefully as she could to another rock, or hill, or something that could hide her just as well.

Tawa knew she wasn't too good at it now, but she would get better. That's what practice was for, after all. Her ear flicked to the side when she heard an exasperated cry. She peered around the edge of the large boulder she was currently skulking behind to spot a wingless female, pouncing on the ground at...something.

The white wingless little goddess had not noticed the darker female; no, she was /still/ trying to get a hold of her shadow (She really had no idea what it was); and was failing. She felt anger sweep over her as she sat down and spat, frowning harshly. That damn thing was mocking her, always following her- but never showing it's self fully.

"What a drag."

She sighed and stood back up, trying to forget her shadow for now. Turning her head she then noticed the darker cub and called out.

"Are you spying on me?!"

This cub was strange; not anything at all like Dakota or Ukulwa. Tawa watched as she sat down, obviously angry, before swiveling her head in Tawa's direction.

The darker cub blinked and instinctively hid farther back into the rock's comforting shadow.

"No," she called out in reply. "Just watching."

Watching and spying weren't the same things. Watching was more innocent; spying was when you were out to get something. Like you were watching for a specific reaction, or something.

She knew the difference.

"Oh, well."

She smirked. Maybe this other girl could be fun to play with, seeing how her damn shadow didn't want to play right now...

"Come down here!"

She called out, waving both of her paws up in the air, as if making a landing area for the other little goddess. She did have wings, after all (And couldn't all god cubs fly?!)

With that, Tawa had thought that, well, that had been that. She could now peacefully go on her way, continuing her slinking-around exercises.

She did not expect to be offered a landing strip, however, to join the other cub a fair distance away. The darker female frowned, weighing her options. To play, or not to play. That was the question.

In the end, she sighed and fluttered her wings enough to swoosh her over closer to the other cub, but not too close. They weren't friends yet, and she could very well be an enemy.

But her parents would be disappointed if she wasn't being at least a little friendly with the other cubs here, besides her brother. There wasn't a chance in hell she would be friendly with her sister.

As the other goddess took flight she felt herself become by a feeling os envy. Wings! Oh how she wished to fly, too! She sighed as she watched the darker goddess glide before calling out to her, her landing spot just a few feet away.

"Hey, you landed too far. C'here."

She wanted to PLAY! What wasn't this little chick understanding?!
