how bad is the recoil for a derringer .410 and is it worth it for its compact size?

I've never shot one, so I honestly couldn't tell you. I will, however, guarantee that it won't be nearly as bad as one of the .45-70 derringers.

What're you buying it for? A snake gun?

I wouldn't know anything about the recoil, but keep in mind that .410 pistols are usually a hell of a lot bigger than they look online.

Especially the Judge.

Judge is over hyped a bit.

I want one because it's strange, but don't expect it to be anything more than a snake gun.

If they had one in a full rifled barrel I would definitely get one.

Bird/snake shot loads aren't bad in a .410 revolver, so I don't THINK they'll be particularly bad out of a derringer.

Oh a snake gun?

If you're not going for a light gun, the Judge would be perfect.
Six shots and the rifled barrel will assure a good spread at close distance and wont have as much recoil as the derringer in .410.

The Judge is VERY over hyped. It's useless as anything but a snake gun. And it's expensive, too.

But god DAMN is it comically huge! xd
