Azar was off to a lazy start that morning. She wasn't in a rush to get to her 'lessons'. She was in no rush at all, she had a feeling that he would be very annoyed at her if she came late but then again she wasn't worrying about it. If he really had a problem with her being late then he was going to have to get over it. It was one of the first times in her life that she was not worrying about getting some where right away. She was on her way to where she told Khin'del. But she kept getting distracted on her way, she had even stopped and chatted with her father for a few minutes.
She slowly made her way to where she was going, she was trotting at a nice pace she grinned as she could see him waiting. She was in a good mood once more she also had a feeling that it was going to go down hill once more. She trotted a little faster before she nodded at him. "Good morning." She said simply as she sat down in front of him, sitting up and curling her tail around the back of her leg. She nodded at him before nodding at him. "So, what do you have planned?" She arched a brow at him.

"Morning," he greeted with a nod. he'd been pacing atop the dune for some time. Fashionably late he really couldn't fault.
"I thought I'd start of with tales of women warriors. These are some lionesses you should come to idolize for not only their battle skill and prowess, but how they were able to maintain their femininity whilst doing so."
He sat some distance away and began;
There was once a pride that lived deep in the jungle. Once there had been some sort of civilization there before that had created from stone their own large dens(human civilization/ ruins like in jungle book =D) The makers had left some time before, and the pride had been living there for many generations. They were your classic example of a pride - one kind, one queen. Their kind was strong, but concerned himself more with the pride than with the pride's military. His queen instead, dealt with them. She was a tall and lean lioness, so the tales go, she appeared very fragile, beautiful. They say she was never without encouragement to her troop, and a kind smile. They worked hard for her because they wanted to please their gentle yet powerful queen. They didn't fear her, though they knew her strength, but they respected her because despite her strength she was humble and kind. They say her coat was of the palest beige, and eyes as blue as the sky, but they were as sharp as her teeth and claws. No one suspected the power that lay within her, and when it came to war, that was what saved her. One day the pride came under attack. They sent their stealthiest to commandeer the queen and hold her for ransom. She went calmly with them like expected, ushering her to their pride's side of the battle lines, and once she was there and they were unsuspecting, she slaughtered them. Between her and her warriors, so carefully and gently trained, their enemies were slaughtered. The queen ruled well into her older years, when her maw was speckled with white and gray, and her blue eyes dulled into a cool gray blue. She still trained her troops, and though she was old, she was still kind to them, and they worked their hardest to please her. Again they were attacked, by the very remnants of the pride that had attacked them before. They had new blood, but so did the queen's troops. What the queen didn't have, was youth on her side this time. However, don't think she was going to give up so easily. She played on her femininity and age. Some say it was her best battle tactic of all. See, this time they sent their strongest warrior to face her, and kill her, rather than ransom the queen. When the warrior came face to face with her, an old lady with such a kind face and gentle smile, he could not kill her, and knowing that his treason would mean his death, he killed himself. And the queen ruled on until death took her gently in her sleep - death, the one opponent no warrior can conquer."
That was but the first story, only He wanted to see just what Azar thought of it.

Azar looked at the male her face unamused she was quiet as he told this story he wanted to tell. She gave him a slightly annoyed face as he talked she lifted a paw and started to clean it acting like he didn't say anything wanting to make sure he was completely done talking. She sighed before shaking her head slightly. "I don't idolize anyone." She glared at him flicking her tail around a few times. Sure she looked up to others. She always had looked up to her father. If anything that was her hero but she never idolized him. She looked up to her mother a lot, her mother was probably the idea of what she should be acting like according to this male. But she wasn't that sure how to do that.
"How is this supposed to help me?" She asked as she placed her paw back on the ground waiting to see what he had planned other then story time.

He sighed, "You are supposed to see that despite the stereotype of women being delicate fragile creatures, that femininity can be key to overcoming obstacles, winning battles, etcetera... Fighting isn't all about brute strength. There are certain mind games that you have to play. Being a female does not make you feminine. If you want the upper hand in battle, to be seen as regal and truly masterful of the battle arts then you must embrace the female stereotype."
He shook his head a bit. She really was dense. "Women are supposed to be the best at playing mind games, the best at keeping men on their toes and guessing - off balance, unsure. A gentle face but brutal claws. sweet voice but deathly tongue and even deadlier teeth... That said, there are supposedly the superior warriors because they can use everything every male biggot has said about them to their advantage."

She grunted slightly as she watched Khin'del. She rolled her eyes before scratching behind her ear. "Gettttt what I'm supposed to be 'seeing'." she rolled her eyes again as she sat up a little more glaring at him. "But you aren't listening. I could careless of what other females have done in their life. The only lioness that I look up to is my mother. But just because I look up to her doesn't mean that I'm going to act like her when I don't need to." She growled. Her mother was much of what he was talking about yet then again it wasn't her style so you could say.
"When I need to I do that. However I'm NOT leading an army, the most I'm doing is fighting an occasional rogue and waiting for my father to assign me an apprentice or two. I don't act like this much unless others piss me off." she was trying to explain that to him but it seemed to be going over his head.

Azar was very crude, and that Khin'del did not like at all. "You see things as they are now. You're not sparing a thought for the future possibilities. At this very moment someone in your midst could be planning a revolt. The Firekin did not always used to be like this, no? They were even split once upon a time, am I correct? What's to say that those who were once a part of the other side aren't planning a revold, a hostile takeover. What's to say that there aren't outsiders waiting to lead an attack. You might not be leading an army, you might just be a part of it, but the way your are carrying on right now is what would assure that you. get. killed."
Really, if he wasn't trying so hard he'd leave her. Then she'd get to live a long life ALONE. After all, who would want someone like THAT!?
"You need to put away your stubbornness and be open to new ideas. I myself was raised to believe differently of females then what I've been proclaiming to you, but with an open mind, and what I have seen with my own eyes, I changed. If I was like I used to be, you would be my beaten and battered mate laying knocked up and bleeding in some den with no say as to weather or not you even wanted any part of me." It was all true. He had been a brutal male biggot before he allowed his mind to open up, and his ideals to change. "I was just as much an a*****e as you are being right now. You still think I'm being an a**, but trust me, I could be WAY worse, and if you don't wake up you are going to be spending the rest of your life miserable and alone because no one is going to want to ever be with someone like you."
Rant over.

She could feel her temper flaring up once more, she wanted to storm off but she wanted to be better than him. She snarled loudly before shaking her head. "I would be able to fend for myself about five times better than you can. I AM more than prepared for whatever is ready to be thrown at me. I take my job more than seriously. I don't need you telling me that I would fail if it came down for that." She stood up her muscles shifting under her skin. She moved closer to him facing him nose to nose.
"I am not your mate, and for that matter you, nor anyone else around here can break my spirit. I am who I want to be. Sweet around those who I feel deserve it and you, you b*****d, as far as I can tell do not deserve it." She bared her teeth ready for a fight if needed, if he laid a paw on her she was ready to attack, she was more than ready to attack.

"There you go boasting again. Are you so dense that you have not realized yet that boasting only makes you seem more and more ridiculous? You are not being honest with yourself. You have so much arrogance in you that you can't just admit that you might just be wrong."
It didn't matter how angry he was getting, he didn't let his body show it. His voice was more than enough. He didn't HAVE to display his anger. He was controlled. Azar on the other hand...
"I'm not trying to break your spirit, but make it grow. You're just too arrogant to see that. This lesson is over Azar. You failed." With that, he turned and started down the dune.

Azar glared as the male walked away. She couldn't believe it did he really wander away from her? She paused for a moment before a smirk grew across her face. She flicked her tail and shook the ever present sand off of her pelt again before she started to trot back toward her den. Now was time to spend with her sister.
