What features from Sims and Sims 2 for PC do you miss in Sims 3?

I miss the ability to move lots around and decorate my 'hood as I want so I'm really pleased to hear this is supposed to be coming back in Ambitions!

I also miss car doors actually opening to let Sims in and out...

i never had cars for my other sim gens... never got the EP for it.

And I rearrange my town anyhow. xD Imove everything around and put random shops in random places. so I don't miss that.

I miss curvy stairs. I'm tired of the straight ones. Half walls, and the higher floor, hot tubs, all the awesome stuff we used to have.

I miss the hot tubes. =/ Where you'd have a party, and half of the people would be in the hot tub together. =)

I also miss the slow dancing option with couples. My weddings are awkward without it.

And I miss the wedding cake and champagn. (you can tell that I'm really into throwing the whole huge wedding thing). I miss that little tray, and everyone would make a toast to them until the bottle was empty.

AND I miss the changing tables in the Sims 3. I used to put them in the community lots, so that the moms had to go to the bathroom to change their kids (more realistic), but that never happens anymore. =/

A whole ton of things...
The hot tubs..the changing tables..all the different kiss and flirt interactions..all the animations..the aspirations..wedding cake and champain (Even though that was all they'd ever drink if you had it),the social bunny even Dx
And all the deaths. SO MANY WAYS TO DIE.
And the community lots. D:

I miss placing lots and the cars thing too.

I also miss the different romantic actions as someone else said, and all the ways someone can die.

I miss all the different monster things you could have (aliens, vampires, plantsims, etc) I also miss the seasons. And having pets. =/

I hate how your sim comes with a cell phone, and there is absolutely no use for a home phone (like in real life XD when I have my own home, I'm not even going to bother getting a home phone.) I think you should have to BUY a cell phone in the game, though.

I miss owning businesses. I dunno if Ambitions or any other expansions have it yet, but I really really miss that whole deal with going to my business and interacting with employees and customers. I also miss hot tub time, going out on actual dates and doing cutesy stuff at the table. crying

I missed having Seasons, and I don't really understand why they didn't put that in Sims 3.

I miss all of the build options you have in Sims 2.

I miss the Vampires and Coffins! They were awesome.
I loved the Aliens as well, I loved making Alien Families.
Having an option to give my Sims piercings was nice.
I'd love the Weather and Pets to come back, also.

Yeah, you'd think after this long they would start putting Pets and weather into the base game instead of making us pay extra for EPs for it ><

I do miss all of the romantic interactions, and I had no idea we had no hot tubs D: D:

Actually, I played The Sims 3 FIRST and then I started on sims 2. So I didn't "miss" anything when playing sims 3.

But when I went back to sims 3 after playing sims 2 for so long, I noticed some things missing.

I miss the cinema when a baby is born.
And aspirations.
And, well, thats about it.
