Yes, furry has a more adult, sexual, side to it, so does ever facet of life. However, over all it is just an fun an innocent hobby. Even us own furries tend to overly play the sexual side of the fandom, because sex sells and is an interesting point for stirring up drama, but in reality it is not the major focal point.

It occurs to me furries probably wouldn't get such a bad rap if the costumes weren't sooooooooooooo creeply looking most of the time. I mean giant unblinking eyes and faux fur...

Surprisingly unoffensive. Though, if they wanted to show an example of anthro art, why did they choose an adult picture that they couldn't show the rest of? It wasn't even that good of a drawing. I mean, it's not like there's any lack of furry art out there.

Yes, fursuits can be somewhat creepy. You don't know if the person behind them is happy or angry. Should I hug, or should I run away?

Wow, they actually outright denounced that csi episode's portrayal. That's awesome.
Fursuits can be creepy.. but they can also be really awesome looking.
.. and in my experience, fursuiters tend to make it pretty clear if they mind hugging or not..

I'm generally not a fan of most fursuits, though, since they can give such an eerie, vacant-eyed, soul-boring stare. But that one was decidedly unfrightening!
