Alright line up and listen to The Anthro Lounge with the aid of Adult Furries Guild!
At our website @ http://www.theanthrolounge.net/ we are creating promotional music videos and documentaries about our world wide furry community and we need your help on some ideas on what to talk about!
The Documentaries are taking place in The United States, Idaho with interviews and some views of The Conventions that we sometimes get involved with dealing with our Furry, Scaly and Feathered Community to teach others about our interesting culture!
Currently the project has 4 members of our community and we may need some help on how to give some light about our community...
Special Guests included, we might save up some money to bring in some people to help out from well the fellow furs, scales and feaths!
While the Music Video will help establish a promotional view about the good side of the fandom with our original artwork and personal shout outs towards our community and of course to those who do not understand us or take out hate against us!
Feel free to line up some suggestions and ideas... visit here for the thread in the Gaia Forums...
http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/general-discussion/the-anthro-lounge-project/t.59937159/
When we are finish they will be posted up on youtube and of course our website! So tune it!
Also feel free to suggest some videos to take a look at so we can update our website portal!

No offense, good sir, but what do we have to be proud of? We're just nerds in a particular fandom (which I love, btw), but it's not like we've made a difference in this world or made some sort of accomplishment or overcome some horrible oppression (4chan and btards do not count. They are simply assholes). We don't need to have any pride. let's just enjoy our fandom.

Ah but did you know that we contribute a lot of currency to charity organizations each year in conventions and related events... we have a lot to be proud of... there is a lot that you might not know! Plus the topic did get your attention did it? lol, operation has started for my side, so are you willing to become it? There is a lot of things to teach the outside world so it can become more tolerant of different things... and the fandom is one of those things that I can with your help at least try to make a difference!

Pride?
Well, besides those who worship the furry gods, who's entire lives for some reason revolve around everything furry, much in the same way WoW fanatics (like my neighbor) spend 24-7 on the game...
the rest of us are just in a hobby that interests us. It's not like pride for being gay or something. Furryness is really a choice, you decide the level of commitment and how far you get into the fandom.
Sure, if you want to say "yay I'm a furry" that's fine, but I certainly don't wear mine on my sleeve and see no reason to. I would certainly not have to "out" myself to my family... out myself of what? I'm straight and I have a hobby no one else needs to know about... hell, my hobby of model trains isn't well known in my family, neither is model rockets, anime, bicycling, and other interests.
I love the thread in FA forums where this one girl verbally bitchslapped those who find the need to "out" their furryness to their parents as if they need to know.
Anyway, good luck on your endeavor. Keep it positive, keep it non-sexual, and don't bow to sterotypes, only a small percent of us are suiters or lifestylers or artists.

while i agree with lee on the pride and "out" issue... I strongly dissagree on the keep it non sexual.
I think the most interesting thing to talk about would be furry sexuality. how diverse it is... i mean reallly get downt he nitty gritty... really deeply involved. how it effects and why it effects ones fursona and human self image.
why this diversity and this broad and intensified expression of it is so key specifically to the furry community. such as male humans with female sona's, or the other way around and even to the point at which some of them take that effeminance to the next level in getting a female fursuit. I know so many males that prefer to be called females, i feel almost as if they are all over the place in the furry community, transgender/vestites. Ive never met so many outside the community, and trust me im a regular at the local gay clubs/bars.
Furry sexuality is so beyond normal acceptance its unreal.
and i think thats incredibly important the communities identity. as for most people that have these unconventional self identities, and sexualities, the furry community is important to them because they find inclusion where the rest of the world might look down on them severely.

Not really something to have pride about. THE MORE YOU KNOW *star*

shoki_de_nai The Furry fandom is also full of disgusting fetishists What people do with or without each other whilst causing no harm unto others (unless consented to) and which falls under generally accepted legal behavior (Alabama tried to/temporarily [I would hope] did ban the sell of sex toys...and I'm sure there's other crazy laws out there.) , isn't really anyone's business. What is and isn't disgusting is subjective. I think eating food with your hands after touching public door handles is disgusting. Others may not care, since I see it all the time at my college. Either way, it's none of my business unless they didn't know of health and safety concerns regarding said behavior and wanted to know them. shoki_de_nai people who act/live like animals, So College men? Men? surprised shoki_de_nai people who think they have the soul of an ancient dragon Furries and ancient civilizations (And the unenlightened people in poor countries) are just freakin' crazy. Thank God Christianity showed people the true way was through HIM (not HER nor multiple people nor animals nor "spirit guides"!) and that your soul is HUMAN ONLY. Remember, Jesus loves all! ...But some more than others! (Like the West!) heart From what I remember she's not a furry just someone into body modification and is really no different than Modern Primitives.

I'm just saying, any good that individuals or groups of furries do, does not really make up for all the bad they also do, and as such is nothing to be prideful about being a part of.
Besides, it's a fandom. I don't see anyone making awareness and pride movements for other fan-groups.
Furries are so silly sometimes.

Garek Maxwell So College men? Men? surprised I'm talking about stuff like eating raw-meat and pissing on their property to "mark" it. Garek Maxwell From what I remember she's not a furry just someone into body modification and is really no different than Modern Primitives. No, it goes beyond body modification, and it refers to itself as a furry and is involved in the furry community.
