Piccolo/Gohan?

I've always felt really conflicted about this couple. Like it? Yes, no? Why, why not?

It could almost be canon in my opinion. I know Gohan sings "I love you, Mr. Piccolo". It was cute. That pairing is completely cute, despite the fact Piccolo and the word cute does not mix.

Piccolo does love Gohan, but I don't think in that way.
It's more like a father/teacher type way, since Piccolo
took Goku's place whenever he wasn't around.
