I'm reading this thread on Fur Affinity, apparently a law has been created in the UK that makes it punishable to look at cub porn, or any drawing or 3D art that represents an underage individual.
I do not like cub porn. However, if someone wants to look at that stuff, fine with them.
To say that fake artwork of child porn will make someone molest a kid is like saying that GTA will make me kill hookers, do drugs, and steal cars. The governments keep on trying to say that certain things MAKE people commit crimes, like video games or cub porn, forgetting that in the end it's the individual's decision to commit the crime, and you can't just scapegoat his behavior on the video games or the cub porn.
When will our governments stop being nazis? When will the time come when the lower class must murder the upper class in an orgy of violence and bloodshed, because I welcome that day.

Aww dammit, they locked the thread. Apparently it had become a Cub-porn-lovers flame-fest. "you like cub porn, you're a *****" that kind of s**t. God damn I love the ******** fandom. Full of flamers and haters and ******** swear, the biggest ******** hatefests in the fandom are caused by two of the stupidest things: Cub porn and diaper fetish. We are a fandom with the most ******** up fetishes, with giant 5-cocked, 6-boob herms taurs, WITH WINGS, and vore... and people who think that s**t is hot rag on people who are into cub porn and babyfur (diapers). Okay, you can like herm animal porn, but you think diaper fur is gross? ******** you.
As for me, I don't care if you draw or look at cub porn. Just don't rape real kids.
Some guy was saying that there's a connection to cub porn and *****, and I was going to reply "Just like there's a connection to violent video games and school shootings?????"

Pretty much the same opinion here. As long as its fictional, it doesn't matter... Though I will say that if someone is doing something that is truly alarming, then said person should be kept under a looking glass. I should say that this would be different than just suspicious behavior, rather it shows intent to actually commit acts that harm another (rape, molestation, murder, etc...)
Anyway, as far as governments are concerned, it's not really something I can talk much about for the UK. I don't know if they have the same laws meant to limit government intrusion in peoples lives... Even vague ones meant to be rather sweeping such as the right to privacy. (How much privacy? Can you have privacy in public? Is the internet public or private? etc...) [Stranger issues come up with people believing it's a violation of their privacy when cameras are put up around public places, yet they wouldn't complain if expensive cops were placed in the same areas instead...]
Anyway! I can't say anything about the UK really. It's not like they're the only ones with the crazy. Australia has been doing similar crazy things with privacy and media and stuff. Insaaane politicians.
...There are times when I think a revolution is needed, but then I just remember that such cases usually end up in dictatorships and wars across Europe. razz

Eh, I can see why they outlawed it. It's kind of like marijuana... Pot is better for you than tobacco, leaves you less impaired than alcohol, is less addictive than both, and you cannot die of overdose. But, they say it's a "gateway drug," and it's outlawed. In reality, not everyone who smokes pot does harder drugs (I sure didn't), but sure, some do.
I personally think it should be legal, since it doesn't hurt anyone but the user, and it hurt the user less than things already out there. Hell, I think drugs should be legal overall. If someone wants to rot out their own body and mind, it's their personal right.
But the thing that drawn kiddie porn is a so-called gateway drug for does hurt people. And I think being in Europe, where on the Eastern side of the continent there have been several hotbeds for human trafficking and ***** sex tourism, that message rings especially clear.
Whether or not I agree with the policy, I can see why they think it necessary and right.

Shakeidas But admit that you like cub porn, and BAM, suddenly you're a Catholic priest!
This reminds me of something I read in the comments to a "news article" thingy.
Article Title Chief exorcist says Devil is in Vaticanwitchfinder general What a maroon! Also the devil lurks in choir boys pants. We as priests must exercise the devil out of the children! And no, I did not misspell exercise.
