Widjan's small form easily dodged behind small shrubs as she played by herself on the edges of the jungle. She giggled quietly to herself, stalking invisible enemies and conquering them all on her own. Just Widjan.
She'd ditched her mother and sister for the time being, not realizing just how potentially bad that idea could be for her. Her mother and Buri were safe guards; a bubble of warm safety that she wasn't used to missing. But with no one else around, she hadn't really noticed anything to set her on edge. Not that it could possibly stay that way for long.
She tried to roll to a new bush but her pay caught on a root and she tripped, tumbling forward and into the open. She cried out and licked her paw gingerly, tiny scratching welling little bits of blood.

Tana, too, had slunk off from her parents. Verge and Hakuna had their hands full with politics and litter mates and grandcubs. Besides, she was a juvenile. She could leave the den if she so pleased. Presently she was creeping through bushes, as a black and blue cub had caught her attention. From cover, Tana sat down to watch. The little one took a tumble and the juvenile tilted her head.
Poor thing. She inhaled the scent of blood and licked her chops. Hmmm. She seemed a little young to be away from the dens. Maybe she should take her back to find her parents. Or perhaps she should get her own mother or father and tell. She tilted her head in the other direction as her violet eyes watched.
