Hello and welcome to Kana/Kanji class! It's still me teaching you, so no suprises there.
THis course will teah you all abou reading and writing Japanese - first Hiragana, then Katakana, and then the long road that is Kanji. Don't be afraid! Learning Kanji is, I think, one of the most interesting parts of the whole language.
I recommend that you follow this course along with the Japanese course. It really won't make much sense if you can't understand what you're writing.
Be patient with yourself and be sure to practice, practice, practice. This stuff does not come to you overnight. If you need help, be sure to head to your student page in the roll call.
