Well, the step-ladder's essence, nature, or whatever is to let people up and down or go from one side to the other. The ladder lets you only go up.

Like I said before, the step-ladder has two sections and the ladder has only one.



For example, if you put a step-ladder over a fence, you could go from one side to the other.



But you can't do that with a ladder! You can only go to the top of the fence! You'd have to jump down to get to the other side!

That doesn't mean that it's the same as a ladder, Polly.



Is a single ladder the same as two ladder put together? And do they function the same way?
