This is just to make sure everyone's grasp of verbs is solid.

Which of the following is correct?

1.watashi wa ringo wo tabetai

2. watashi wa ringo wo tabetai desu

Convert the verb "to walk" (arukimasu) into negative form, past tense and negative past tense.

Make a list of all the verbs you have memorized.

I would expect you all to have at least five verbs memorized. There will be a lot more focus on verbs in upcoming lessons.

erm.
I think watashi wa ringo wo tabetai desu is right, because...it'd be taberu otherwise, tight?

^^;

I'm new.
I made sure to scroll down without peeking at the other answers because I'm so serious about learning.
xDD

Negative form: Arukimasen

Past Tense: um..Arukimashita

Negative Past Tense: ...I'm just going to guess. xDD I, er, Arukimasen..shita? No way that's right. >.<

Verbs:
Arimasu (to have, right?)
Taberu (eat)
Yomanai (read, right?)
Mitai (watch?)
ooh...I think that's all I have. T crying T
Um, can I use Arukimasu?
xDD

Definitely a good start!

Negative Past Tense of "arukimasu" is "arukimasen deshita". So you were actually very close.

Your list of verbs IS a legitimate list of verbs, but they're not all in the same form... If I were to put everything in present, positive plain form, You'd have the following:

yomu - to read (yomanai means "did not read")

miru - to watch/see (mitai means "want to see/watch")

Arigatou, Sensei!

Okay, so when I read verbs, I should keep in mind that the basic form of it probably ends in "u"?

I'll try very hard to learn.

Um... I believe both are correct, 1. is informal speech, and 2 is full in politeness and grammar.
Negative: Arukimasen
Past: Arukimashita
Negative Past: Arukimasendeshita.
Of course, those are all formal. Informal would be
Positive: Aruku
Negative: Arukanai
Past: Aruita
Negative Past: Arukanakatta

And as for the verbs... That would take way too long to list them all. >.<
