A curious paw stretched outwards, slowly and cautiously, at the sunlight dancing along the surface of a small, but fairly deep, puddle nessled in-between a pair of large, smooth boulders. Her eyes wide, the cub's imagine carried her from reality within a moment's notice. The shimmering rays had become a colony of firey worms, wriggling and sparkling in blurry, fantastic shapes.

The sunlight fascinated her. On rare occassion, the shimmering shapes would blur together and form a full, complete image. It was always quick, always momentarily, and none of it ever made any sense. They were strange faces, strange locations, even strange creatures she'd never seen in her life. She'd seen everything from a roaring male standing atop a large rock to a massive beast with a nose like a snake and a pair of curled, dangerous tusks sticking from its face.

For the moment- they were glowy worms dancing atop the water. She squealed as she touched the water, the cold water shocking her still tender paw pads. Shaking the droplets of water from her paw, the female slowly stretched her paw out towards the puddle again. Maybe it wouldn't be so cold the second time around...

User Image He shook out the small tuff of mane that was growing in, with his sudden growth spurt, he was quiet pleased with himself, specially as of lately.

The warmth of day-dream like visions always left him relaxed and at peace with all that was around him, his parents had been careful to explain to him what was going on, that he wasnt a freak, but merely blessed they said.

As he walked around freely in the pride, he watched some Banu's and their litters, the cubs playing together and for a moment he wished he'd broughten Lililamuna along, she was always good for a game or two but she was busy today, learning the ways of being a good banu since she'd just hit her adolesnce.

Though, the sight of a cub off in the distance perked his curiousity, he padded toward it, until the shape turned into a young female cub, he wondered what on earth was she doing...

Thalion
The cub crossed her eyes, wrinkled her nose, and stuck her tongue out- quite unaware that anyone was paying her any mind. Her brothers shared the strange 'sight' she had though they rarely mentioned them to one another. She'd spotted one of them blanking out on occassion. She quietly wondered what they saw... but then again, she wasn't overly eager to share the things that appeared in the shimmering sunlight either.

Maybe she could make them form something that she wanted to see. Gently, she laid her paw on the surface of the water, sending shimmering ripples out from her pad out to the small bank of the puddle.

She froze and slowly rolled her ear around. Someone was watching...she felt the weight of a curious stare. Sitting upright, splashing her paw down into the water, and sucking her tongue back up into her mouth, she turned around to face the...young male!

"Oh!" She dipped her head, remembering her manners. "Hi! Oh...uh...he-hello?"

Doodle
He wonder what she'd been staring at, glancing past her and into the rippling puddle, but he saw only the water itself, nothing in it.

Curious, he looked to her once more before giving a grin, and bowing his head in greeting, not many males bowed to females in this pride, but he felt..something was different about her, that she was almost his equal on some level.

"Good day Miss.." He replied, lifting his head, his mother spent hours teaching him manners, some stuck, others seemed to be repeated lessons.

He wondered what group she had come from, so many lived within these lands it was hard to keep track of who, belonged to who sometimes, specially among the cubs.

Her rears rolled forward as she was greeted. Formally! That was new. Even her brothers weren't that polite to her. They were kind, of course, but it was different. A greeting was sometimes followed by a headlock and a noogie. She won some, she lost some.

Miss!? The young female brought a paw to her maw and giggled into her still damp pad.

"Are you looking for a playmate? I'm old enough to be away from the den now, it's my first day going by myself though."

Doodle
"A playmate at this moment would be a great delight. Though, I wouldn't want to hurt you.." He knew he was bigger than most cubs his age, and that too was another gift from his father. He hoped that he didnt have any other gifts in store later.

"I wouldn't want to keep you to long from your mother, or your father. I know some fathers are very protective of their cubs, even their daughters." He wasn't quiet old enough to feel the wrath of a father yet, and he hoped that he wouldn't have to.

He grinned down at her, she was a sweet thing, indeed. "Im Sarfraz."

Thalion
She chuckled again and dropped her paw under her as her shoulders bobbed in a short shrug. "Oh don't worry about that, I'm not too fragile you know. I'm the only girl in my family. I have to play with boys all the time." She flicked the tip of her tail and threw her chest out, a sure-sign of confidence. Of course, the other male was much larger than her brothers- and older. He had much more mane than the little fluffs of fur crowning their heads.

"Oh it's okay, I just have to get back when the sun's touching the horizon. They want me to stretch my legs. Mum thinks I need some 'time to myself'." She wrinkled her nose and made a quiet spitting sound to show just what she thought of that idea. Time to herself was no fun at all.

She offered him a shy smile and stood herself up, crossing her front paws and dipping her head in an attempt to imitate the proper curtsy she'd seen other lionesses present on occasion. "I'm Sioned. Nice to meet you."

Doodle
He couldnt help but let his smile turn into a grin, before he laughed. His sister did not enjoy rough housing with him and his brothers, but then again the three of them were always pretty much doing something on their own.

It was a shame really. He must do something to correct that, he ponders before nodding his head. "Time to ones self can leave them time to think over issues, or events that might get muddled up around others."

He enjoyed his time alone sometimes, but others, like this one he prefered the company of a pretty face.

"It is indeed nice to meet you Sioned." He looked to the sky, "I shall definately have you before then, just to be on the safe side of course."

She bobbed her shoulders again. In her young age she rarely had a care in the world. Her parents saw her fed, groomed, and taken care of. Her brothers saw that she was entertained and had all the company she could want around the den- not to mention a few fuzzy warm bodies to lay against while she napped.

"I guess. It's no fun though." She stepped forward and tapped the older cub's paw. "Tag! You know that game? It's so fun, you gotta catch me now, rules are rules! I tagged you, so you gotta get me."

She flashed a grin and bounced a pace away from him. "So?"

Doodle
He laughed as he watched her, and only lowered his head, gazing up at her with his two toned eyes he said one word. "Run."

It was the only head start she was going to get before he chased after her, tag was his favorite game besides hide n' seek, his mother encouraged him to play these games the most, said they'd help later in life, not that he listened to that bit overly much.

He enjoyed life as it was, but to make sure, she got the idea, he quickly took a couple steps, almost reaching out to tag her in return already.

Thalion
Sioned jumped forward again with a quick, cub-footed bounce. Ears perked, the female giggled and bolted through the grass, still clumsy on her over-sized paws and unwise to the terrain, she didn't get too far before the young man's paw touched her heel.

She skidded to a stop and pawed at the ground until she whipped around. "My turn!" She swiped at the air, unsucessfully, and followed up with a loud giggle and another clumsy dart forward.

"You'd better run! I always win at home!"

Doodle
He laughed, and zagged to the side almost instantly, bounding off into the tall grasses as he looked back after her.

Didnt want to lose her in the grass, that would be unfortunate.

"You'd better be faster than that!" He called back with a grin. He was really only used to playing with Lil, but it was nice to have someone else to play with.
