Aparently Holo is her actual name according to the writer or directer person who's name is sliping my mind right now. But in Japanese there is no L sound like we all know i think... so her name is pronounced Horo.
Or a better reason, think of Horo and Whore. see the simerlarites in sound?

i don't know, i was confused by that for a while, sometimes i call her Holo cuz thats what it sounds like, but lot's of people spell it as Horo. so i guess either way is right.
