Gundam ACAM Final Victor

The first and second installments for anyone to read.



The year is After Colony 213, and Backdraft no longer exists. The Gundam pilots took down Backdraft in a final battle, but not without heavy loss. The pilots had lost allies, even family on that day. Their death, however, was not in vain. Backdraft had fallen, their hold on Earth and the colonies gone. The pilots then swore that they wouldn't part, and would protect Earth and the colonies, requiring only parts, shelter and food in return. Earth had been slow to accept the offer, while the colonies didn't hesitate. The pilots were now known far and wide as The Protectors, pilots who would risk their very lives to defend the innocent.


Rules
1. The name MUST be original, no copying from any Gundam shows!
2. Your character cannot be a Newtype or Innovator, they didn't exist in the AC era.
3. Your mobile suit cannot be all powerful, it MUST have some weakness. Mobile suits Must also be constrained to systems that are reasonable, so nothing like an ultimate system that can copy others, however, if an enemy is defeated, if the weapons are compatible, you may switch out weapons. Different Armor sets are acceptable.
4. You don't have to have a Gundam, you can have any model you want, even a variant of the RX-78 (original) Gundam. Or even something like a Zaku.
5. Be original! You can take existing mobile suits and modify them as you wish, but make sure it isn't anything over the top like a 900 foot long sword, that's just ridiculous.
6. When you character is created, give a good description of how he/she looks, including skin color, eye color, nationality, clothes he/she wears, etc.
7. Have fun with it all!
8. We need something other than Gundams in order to have battles, so, pilots can have Gundams, but I want some ideas for other suit designs, to make it more interesting.
9. When you post, be literate! Write it as if you were writing a book!
10. Any out of character chat is to be in double parenthesis, as such ((...))
11. If you make a reference, make sure that it is a Gundam reference, or at least a common one.
As much as you may want, no posting "I love ____!" or anything like that.
12. Romance is allowed, but nothing over kissing ok guys?
13. Keep any cursing mild, if it is bad, star it out, after all, there may be children following the story!
14. If your character changes along the path of the storyline, that's fine, just keep it reasonable.
15. Gory images are a no! Slight blood is acceptable. If it is gory, keep it in text.
16. I am god (figuratively speaking, SILAS). If I say something, it goes!
17. Post at least once every three days. If you can't, let me or a crew member know. If you don't let us know and are gone for more than three days, you forfeit control of that character.
18. NO AUTOHITTING! Give other a chance to react! If it is between two of your own characters, that is fine, but not between others!
19. Due to time constraints with one or more roleplayers, posting will be restricted to weekends only. This is so people will have time to react without leaving multiple posts that may involve their character without response. Story

The year is A.C. 213, the pilots that for the group known as The Protectors have been defending Earth and the colonies for one year now. With the agreement between The Protectors and the Earth and colonies, any damage done to the Gundams were paid for in full. With threats minimal at best, the pilots have been able to destroy any group with little effort. However, in the shadows a new group is gaining power, disguised as a religious sect, all while brainwashing their followers to become mindless killers, all while staying invisible to the Earth and even the resourceful pilots.

Age: 20

Mobile suit make: Gundam

Mobile suit designation: Wing Gundam Zero Fire

Description: About 5 foot 3, Japanese, with long black hair covering half his face. His eyes are brown, and his skin is light in color. He wears black pants, usually preferring a plain t-shirt.


Nationality: Japanese

Details about their past: He saw the Gundams in their fight against Mariemaia Khushrenada when she tried to take over the Earthsphere when he was 6, and was inspired to one day fight if ever needed to. He has been trained as a soldier since he was 7, and shows no mercy on the battlefield. After his brother's death one year ago, he has become reluctant to speak more than necessary, and prefers to be alone, locking himself in a room drinking.

Mecha Details: Zero Fire was originally built by Kamon based off the original Wing Gundam Zero design. He modified it to include flamethrowers mounted in the feet and hands, for a bit more damage when fighting hand to hand. The suit cannot transform anymore because of the fuel lines needed for the flamethrowers. The suit has no shield, instead reinforcing the armor on the arms to withstand most close range attacks. It also has the ZERO System installed, which has been upgraded to the ZERO System 2.5, allowing the suit to act on its own if the pilot needs it to do so. Zero Fire had been further modified by Kamon with a Changeable Armor System (CAS) to allow for more versatility in combat. The different armor sets are :Zero Raikou, a lightly armored, high-speed suit, capable of Mach4. The paint on Raikou is blue in color, and it's systems allow for extreme maneuverability. The second armor is Zero Yaiba. This set is medium armored, and come equipped with seven different sword, one being a large, solid sword kept stored between the wings. The other swords are beam swords, and are stored in various spots around the suit, allowing for quick access. Yaiba has speed equal to that of the base armor, but cannot use the flamethrowers due to guards over the hands. The final set is Zero Taikou Arashi. This armor set is green, and heavily armored. The wings on this set are replaced by a massive cannon capable of firing a beam with power equivalent to 5 simultaneous Buster Rifle shots, but is extremely slow to recharge. The other wing is replaced by a container housing Weapon bits for use while the cannon is recharging. The armor is so heavy that mobility is extremely slow, but sturdy enough to take any form of beam or solid attack with little damage.
Each suit is equipped with the same base system as Zero Fire, including the ZERO System. Due to using the ZERO system repeatedly, and for prolonged periods of time, Kamon's mind has linked directly with the suit, and when close enough, can control it with thought alone.

Name: John Silenus

Age: 40

Mobile suit make: Silenus family-proprietary design

Mobile suit designation: Modus Operandi, model VII

Description: John is a middle aged Englishman from royalty. He hates the way that Gundams so drastically tip the balance of power, so he rarely uses his own Gundam. He is tall, with short, swept-back brown hair, and often wears simple mechanic's clothing.

Nationality: English

Details about their past: Formerly a highly decorated official in the Royal Mobile Suit Corps of the English-sponsored colonies. Due to the frequent outbreaks of war during the AC years, he has become jaded and has sworn off mobile suit combat until his dying day. However, the activities of the Backdraft pilots and supporters have forced him to break his most solemn vow.

Mecha Details: A custom-built anti-Gundam. One of few non-gundanium MS capable of standing up to a Gundam. Armor is comprised of anti-beam plating arranged at sharp angles to help deflect energy weapon blasts. Overall, this MS is quite petite compared to a Gundam, and is very lightweight. However, critical areas are reenforced with heavy armor. Due to numerous vernier engines and exhaust ports across the armor, boasts very high maneuverability in space, but is only slightly above average when on the ground.
Strengths: Very fast, very agile. Response time is limited only by pilot aptitude. Deadly at close range. Beam firearms are nearly ineffective against this MS due to its unique structure.
Weaknesses: Solid shell ammuntion is most effective against this MS. The angular armor cannot absorb much physical shock. Though it is a force to be reckoned with at melee range, it is also most vulnerable here. The armor is simply too light to protect it effectively.

Age: 36, though she no longer physically ages

Mobile suit designation: Gundam Mercy

Description: Nearly as tall as John. Has waist-length black hair which she wears down. Has a slender build, but is surprisingly strong for her size, due to her physical enhancements.

Nationality: English

Details about their past: Wife of John Silenus, thought to be killed in an attack by Chris of Backdraft long ago. Reemerged after five years to aid her husband in battle, and would later discover that she was the subject of an experiment by rogue Backdraft scientists, in an effort to breed a single super-soldier capable of piloting the ancient mobile suit-like weapon, Misericordia, against its brother, the Censura.

Mecha Details: Marie once used another Modus Operandi suit, but upgraded when the MO2, MO3, and MO4 were destroyed. Gundam Mercy is the spiritual successor to the legendary Misericordia. Since the former suit's armor was never fully analyzed, the material can never be replicated. However, Marie applied some ancient knowledge passed on to her by the Misericordia's AI, and built a Gundanium version of the ancient weapon. Armament is identical to the Misericordia.

Mobile suit designation: Gundam Hyperion's Shrike

Description: A devious old man who has used the faith of sincere, but gullible religious followers to get himself ahead in life, by starting the para-military religious cult, The Church of Final Atonement. He is short, stumpy, and grey, with a bald head, and wrinkles on every inch of his body. Always wears a black robe lined with red satin.

Mecha Details: A tall, elegant-looking machine, designed for form rather than function. It has long, decorative but functional blades on its limbs, chest, and skirt armor. The armor is chromed on every surface, creating the illusion of an angelic appearance when it catches sunlight. It has piercing red eyes, and stands at nearly 26 meters tall. Has no fixed armaments, but mounts a variety of modular stylized versions of OZ weaponry.

Name: Adalwulf van Zandt

Age: 22, though he looks 24 or 25

Mobile suit make: Gundam

Description: About 5'12". He has dirty light blond hair pulled back in a small ponytail reaching the middle of his back, stubble on his face, and one clear blue eye. He lost his right eye to Demyan and now wears a patch over it. A scar remains. He wears an olive green long-sleeved shirt, frayed dark blue jeans, and black shoes. He has a flash drive and wolf tooth on a string necklace. Out of Lillia, he carries an antique Howdah Hunter 20 gauge pistol stuck in the back of his belt.

Details about their past: Adalwulf became an orphan at age, leaving his foster home later. Computers were his passion, a hacker career ideal for him. His right eye was lost a few years ago, and never had a robotic replacement. Finding a semi-wrecked gundam in a ruined city, he bought parts, getting it working again, and calling it Lillia. He joined up with a group of gundam pilots and fought Backdraft with them about a year ago. For the past year after Backdraft's defeat, he has been trying to get Kamon out of his depression, swearing that no one around him will go through anything like that, similar to when his own life took a turn for the worse.

Mecha Details: Nicknamed Lillia, its paint job is a green, white, and gray combination, with a faint pink color for the details, making it seem girly. Lillia is fairly quick and is made to be a lightweight, which is, however, a disadvantage. It usually can fight at mid- to close- quarters. It's equipped with a beam saber glaive, and it can shorten its handle for close range. A beam rifle is used for any long range it may have to do. As much as Adalwulf loves his Lillia, he can't afford real bullets, so he sticks with beam weapons. Lillia can connect with Adalwulf's laptop from a vast range as well, having acquired an AI.

Name: Demyan Valkov

Age: In reality should be 29, but looks younger

Mobile suit make: Mech/Gundam hybrid

Description: Taller than when he was not cybernetic, Demyan stands at 6-foot-something with a thin build belying his strength. Short trimmed red hair with a tiny ponytail in the back. Coppery-brown eyes, though they're now robotic. He wears a crimson shirt, black pants, black boots, fingerless black gloves, and sorely patched leather jacket reaching the back of his knees. He carries two knives on his person, and a hidden one in his left wrist. The metallic ships in his still human brain have remained due to the fact of needing to stay there so he can live. Even when he has artificial skin, he's ripped a small section away to symbolize the scar he received from Adalwulf, possibly in reverence to the man.

Nationality: Russian

Details about their past: Demyan was brought up by his mother in Russia, father being part of Backdraft. His father disappeared on a mission, leaving his mother to fall ill and soon pass away. Shuffled between orphanages, he left and joined Backdraft, given a junkie suit that he fixed up with cannibalized parts of both mechs and gundams. He stuck with solo missions during the infamous corporation's "golden days", before being taken down in the final battle by Koza, Byrd, and his rival Adalwulf. Most of his body though, was intact, including his brain. Natasha, his suit, had an AI that had analyzed and saved his wavelength signature, chips of the program itself having been embedded in his skull when the suit was destroyed, and retaining enough of an electric charge to keep it in a stasis. A Church of Final Atonement researcher/follower was able to secretly recreate a cybernetic body using the remaining pieces of the original: A left leg, right arm, torso, and head. When he awoke 7 months later, he was informed by the researcher of the situation concerning the colonies and the pilots who were victorious. Since then he's been gathering ex-Backdraft pilots into the cult/religion, forming a group he's labeled as the Harbingers of Atonement. Though as the church has been invisible to the general public, he spends his time chain-smoking with no consequences, building airplane models in his room, and maintaining his newest suit.

Mecha Details: Named Sasha.
Main: It's more lightweight than the suit it was based on, the Natasha, though it's still bulky. A newer, improved metal was used for the thick armor plating. It heats up less from the thrusters used to keep it aloft in space and on ground as well as having a considerably higher rating for taking damage. Normal and most reinforced bullets can be reflected for a bit before the armor will start to give, and beam or energy shots can be absorbed to a medium extent.
Strength/Weakness: Strengths include an easier way to maneuver in space, stronger and lighter metal armor, and a variety of a weapons arsenal. Weaknesses are that the armor will eventually give under continued fire from atleast more than 1 suit, a bit slower to turn when circled or strafed around, and susceptible to EMP type weapons.
Weapons: A heavy gatling gun type weapon with armor piercing rounds; A hidden cannon in the chest, non-energy; A beam pistol that can't be fired too rapidly otherwise it'd overheat; And a beam sword that is able to power down albeit briefly for close-range.
Paint job: The colors are of the Soviet Union's flag, from before mecha and gundams were out and about. A regal red and shining gold attract attention on the battlefield, though the size alone would anyway.

Name: Nick Kinderlan

Age: 28

Moible suit make: Gundam Ater Mico

Description: Nick is 6ft. 2in. with brown hair and blue eyes. He wears a sleeveless brown shirt and brown cargo pants and wears a brown trench coat and black combat boots. He is very strong and muscular.

Nationality: Colonist

Details about their past: Nick was always a whiz when it came to Gundams and their mechanics. He could build one when he was 12 and could pilot one when he was 18. So when he found alot of destroyed Gundams in space after a battle a year earlier he built a totally new kind of Gundam built mostly from a modified Zero suit he found. It had some words on it that read Dark Empros so he kept the name. That same year he found out that the Gundam had a mind of it's own and learned how to communicate with it eventually learning what it was saying. He also found Kamon soon after and decided to help him. After the fight and destruction of the infamous Backdraft Nick continued to help Kamon protect the Earth.

Mecha details: The Ater Mico is a sleek and stylish Wing Gundam variant sporting a black and red paint job. It wields two solid blades and two beam sabers along with duel buster pistols. It is extremely fast and has an artificial intelligence inside known as Dark Wing made by Chris Darpel, the former leader of Backdraft and friend of Kamon.

Age: 22

Mobile suit make:[b]Description:[b/] Chris is now a human sized Gundam. He looks alot like his original Gundam Dark Wing. He is colored Black and white.

Nationality: American

Details about their past: Chris was once possessed by the evil entity known as Censura and was the leader of the sinister Backdraft Union. During the fight against Censura Chris was freed. He fought with Kamon and his friends to destroy the Backdraft Union for good. During the battle though the core of the colony erupted while he and their enemy Shane were inside. As a last ditch effort to survive he downloaded his brain to his AI program and ejected it. From there is was found by Lunar Dure, who made his Gundam body, but also twisted his program to evil. Now he fights for the Church of Final Atonement as a deadly executioner. He is a walking death machine.

Mecha details: Because of Chris' small size he is extremely fast and maneuverable with the ability to fly circles around the fastest Gundam. He comes with two solid blades and two beam sabers. Along with the floating Buster spheres from his old Gundam Nisus. He has also successfully built his old antimatter cannon to his size with the help of Censura's memories still locked inside of his mind.

Description: 6'0, with short brownish red hair. Has recently taken to wearing a reddish duster coat and grey fedora. wears a black shirt, blue jeans and black boots.

Nationality: Romanian

Details about their past: Fought With Kamon and the Gundam Pilots during the two Backdraft incidents. Went back to being a mercenary with Koza Shrenzan as his partner, but recieved mission updates to rejoin his old allies to fight the Church of Final Atonement

Mecha Details: Named Seraph Gundam, Is is a cross-fusion of Wing Gundam Zero Custom and Gundam Epyon Custom, having Epyons body and head, With Zero's arms and legs. Has Epyon's Heat Rod, head vulcans, and his old Gundam's Snipe Buster.colored like Wing Zero. Fights best either close or long range, but has no mid-range weapons

Details about their past: Fought with Kamon and Byrd and the rest of the Gundam Pilots during the Backdraft incidents, afterwards returning to his former life as a mercenary, with Byrd as his partner

Mecha Details: Named Gundam Wrath, the second of two Wing Zero/Epyon Custom cross-fusions. Has Epyon's wings, legs, and arms, with Zero's torso and head. Has a Gatling gun built into the shield, a twin Buster Rifle and beam sword connected directly to the gundam's generator via cable. Colored like Epyon, aka Red with black Highlights.Fights best at all ranges, but is slightly slow due to slightly heavier armor.

Description: 5' 11", has brown hair and eyes, he has sligtly tanned skin, well toned muscles, has a scar on his arm in the shape of a wave that a crazy woman carved into him when he was young, and he wears his blue Earth army uniform most the time.

Gundam Name: Prot. 4325790 Sheild Breaker, also reffered to as Blue Angel Wing or 'Wave' (Cole calls it Wave)

Gundam Description: Wave is a proto-type gundam installed with a classified weapon only known as 'The Blue Phase'. It was created after the problem with Chris having an energy shield around his base and gundam, so the army secretly created this weapon to combat that. It is meant to not break the sheild, as it's name suggests, but phase through it using hyper active ion particles distributed throughout the armor, giving it a blue color, and making an anti-energy feild around the suit giving it the ability to phase through energy feilds and withstand energy weapons. Though the weapon only lasts for a short period of time, it is still very effective. The suit itself is painted mainly with with blue trim, just like an army issue suit and looks much like the Angel Wing gundam. It even has feathered wing boosters like the Angel Wing gundam. It's weapons inclue 'The Blue Phase', an army issue beam rifle, a beam saber, and a hidden solid blade desiged for when he used 'The Blue Phase'.

Generic suits

These suits are generic, such as Leos, and can fight in large numbers due to mass production. Pilot's can use these, but they aren't exactly the strongest suits available.


Leo: A small, mass produced mobile suit, it has a machine gun, and can be equipped with two shoulder mounted rockets. The suit is armored with titanium, and powered by a compact nuclear fusion reactor.

Albatori: These suits are usually gold in color, and are fast, although lightly armored. The standard armament for this suit is a beam machine gun, and a beam saber. These suits are powered by a compact nuclear fusion reactor, and are easily destroyed if caught up with.

Zaku: These suits are ground use only, being to heavy to fly, and without any equipment available for space use. Standard armament include a heat hawk, and a machine gun. Armor is heavier, but a well placed shot can take these out in a single hit.

Kamon lay in his room, an empty whiskey bottle on its side next to the bed. He had been like this for almost a year now, since the death of his brother. He began to mumble drunkenly, his head clouded with thoughts. "You fool.. why did you go back.. dammit that should've been me.." He began to sob, barely able to control himself in his drunken state, and tried to stand, but promptly fell down, passing out as he lay on the floor.

((Thankee buddy. This be a first. =D))

"No. Bishop, not Queen! Bishop, dammit, bishop!" The losing fanfare trilled out from the speakers, a message popping up: [Player xLEATxHachs has won.] "Gah! Damn your eyes!" Adalwulf glared angrily at it for a while, then dismissed the message, rubbing his temple. Frustrated wasn't the proper word, more like bored and sober. He sighed, giving up on internet chess, thoughts turning elsewhere. "Maybe I should check up on him..."

The recreation of a miniature mahogany P38-Lightning Model airplane had gone through much tinkering. At first the propellers had fallen off. Then the wheels, the black plastic cockpit cover, and finally the right wing. But now it was relatively finished, except for the varnish. Demyan smiled happily around his cigarette.

The last of the sinister machines were closing in on John's petite mobile suit. The antimatter weaponry seared the atmosphere around him, and he was forced to step up his game. The Modus Operandi model VII was designed for air-air combat, and the Censura copies were built for space, so John had the upper hand. When one strayed just a little too close, he planted a shoto in its shoulder. The suit erupted in a fiery explosion as one of its brethren got the drop on John. It stopped short of him and backed away to land on the ground a few hundred meters below. A pristine white mobile suit floated gracefully nearby. The Censura copied dropped to one knee as it glided nearby.
"Darling...I understand why you won't use a gundanium suit...but if you insist on piloting an MO against Gundams, you can't leave openings like that," John's wife, Marie radioed.
"Duly noted. Shall we go annoy Adal?"
"It's a date."

Adalwulf was never good at chess, let alone with other players. A small box popped up, asking if he really wanted to quit the session. A few seconds passed as the screen went blank, the open windows reappearing where they'd been for some time. He rubbed his temple again, trying to ignore the headache which had slowly been forming. Kamon, the poor guy, seemed to be sinking lower and lower. Adalwulf stood up, putting his laptop on standby, deciding he would go visit him for a bit.

As Kamon lay passed out in the floor he could hear noises all around him, unsure if they were imaginary or real. He could hear screams, crying, and moaning coming from all around him when a knock at his door jerked him back into reality. Unable to stand, he pulled himself with his hands across the floor, hanging off his doorknob as he pulled the door open, squinting as the light from outside flooded the dark room. "Who ish it?"
