Story

Mizuki is the female “prince” of her all-girls school and the lead guitarist in an all-girl rock band. Akira is the male “princess” of his all-boys school and wants to join her band. Love may be on his mind, but romance is difficult when everyone keeps mistaking Mizuki for a boy and Akira for a girl!

Mayu Shinjo was born on January 26. She is a prolific writer of shojo manga, including the series Sensual Phrase. Her current series include Ai-Ore! and Ayakashi Koi Emaki. Her hobbies are cars, shopping and taking baths. Shinjo likes The Prodigy, Nirvana, U2 and Glay.

Volume 1
When the lead singer of Blaue Rosen announces she is moving overseas, Akira does all he can to convince Mizuki and her bandmates to let him join. But will a resistant Mizuki allow him into her band, much less her heart?


Volume 2
Mizuki’s neighbor Shinnosuke returns from college for a visit, but the championship boxer is surprised to find the girl he likes involved with someone else. Will Akira be able to compete for Mizuki’s affections against such a manly rival?


Volume 3
Blaue Rosen is bumped from a gig because Yuya wants his own band to perform instead. Mizuki and her bandmates protest, and Yuya decides he’ll let the all-girl band play—but only if he gets a date with Akira!


Volume 4
Now that all St. Nobara Girls Academy knows Akira is a boy, the students want Mizuki to stop dating him because of Dankaisan Boys School’s awful reputation. Pressured by her classmates and the student council president, Mizuki decides to do the unthinkable: she goes to Ran for help.

Much to Akira’s dismay, his lecherous tutor from middle school, Sho Kasuga, has suddenly reappeared. Akira has a secret from his past that he doesn’t want Mizuki to know, and he’s terrified Sho will reveal it!


Volume 6
The members of Blaue Rosen and Akira’s schoolmates have found themselves at the same beachside resort for summer vacation. Akira wants some alone time with Mizuki, but will he ever be able to shake off Ran and Rui?


Volume 7
Akira’s agency cares more about creating idols than music, and Mizuki is reluctant to agree to their terms for Blaue Rosen debuting with a major record label. Akira then decides to go solo, but is he ready to live the life of a female idol?

After her house and prized guitar are destroyed in a fire, Mizuki moves in with Akira at the Dankaisan dorm. To help pay for a new guitar, Mizuki gets a part-time job and is wildly successful at it, but she won’t tell Akira what it is…
