Azar was ready to fight, and she had heard that the other lion that she was going to be fighting was her. She looked at the male markings familiar to her. It was her nephew she really hadn't seen him since she was a lot younger since he was a lot younger and now he seemed to big. He was a lot bigger. She flicked her tail around her as she looked over at the male and nodded at him a smile on her face. Her own litter was big enoug for her to be able to wander around by themselves for a while so now she had time to be able to wander around and even duel.
Which it what she was here for. She was REALLY up for a duel and was more then ready to go. She started to move closer to him. "You ready?" He asked with a grin on her face. She leaned forward for a moment before bounding toward the male. A grin was on her face she was happy to be able to duel again. she moved quickly and slammed into the male with a grunt.

Naur hadn't been expecting an attack, let alone from his aunt. He looked at her in shock as she bounded up to him. Ready? Certainly not: he was in the middle of a hunt!
But she was coming at him, so he had to do something. With a playful growl, he turned on her, though she was on top of him before he could get out of the way.
He wasn't taking things too seriously yet, so he used his heavy pads to try and escape, swinging and missing in an effort to push her face away from him and get himself free.
"That's not fair," he pointed out.

Even though Azar was very much in the mood for a duel she wasn't in a violent mood but a playful duel was always welcomed to her. Yes she was a firekin and yes she was an adult but that didn't matter to her she loved playing any chance she got. And the fact that some one was off guard never matter to her. She laughed as she bounded a few steps away from him before crouching to the ground.
"You should be ready for anything!" She laughed as she looked at her nephew shaking her head. "You're a firekin!" She laughed again as she moved closer to him smacking a paw on his shoulder and grinning ear to ear.

Naur growled, though without ferocity, baring his teeth and bounding away from her after she swatted his shoulder. He curled around to face her, hunching down, eyes glued on her. He grinned.
"You're right, of course. I won't let that happen again."
He was a proud Firekin, his brilliant red coat demanding such pride as far as he was concerned. He needed to be better, even if he was a hunter and not a soldier: he couldn't let his aunt get the drop on him again.
Prowling closer, he waited for an opening, hoping she might drop her guard a bit or allow him a chance to get back at her for her attack.

She nodded at the male and a grin grew on her face. "Thats the spirit!" She laughed slightly it was nice to see the firekin blood continue through the generations. Even though she was enjoying her cubs the way they were right now one thing was for sure she really was hoping to see her cubs like this one day. She was hoping to see that they were just as willing to accept a challenge and wanting to fight.
She grinned before bounding forward a few times she was about to swipe at him again but she ended up getting her footing wrong her she stumbled instead. Ohgreat, that was a nice example to go by after she was telling her nephew to be prepared.

Naur grinned broadly, his big teeth flashing in the sunlight. He saw her stumble and he went for it, charging forward, his muscular frame moving quickly enough, despite having been at a complete rest moments before. He hurled himself at her and slammed into her full force.
It felt good to actually land a hit, and he jumped back, preparing for another 'attack'. He wasn't using his claws or teeth, but he didn't think a few bruises would really be that bad.
He grinned at her still, eager to fight, already having fun now that the surprise had worn off.

Azar grinned at her Nephew as she saw him coming her way, she prepared herself for a hit. She was really surprised at it. It was rough and it kind of hurt but she shrugged it off. She grunted as he slammed into her stumbling to the side before looking at him she moved quickly circling around him a grin was on her face. Duels were always fun to her no matter what was going on.
She stayed at a distance from him, but not to far away, she was thinking about her next hit and also trying to figure out what his next move was going to be. She was curious not very sure about what was going to happen next but at the same time she was excited, very excited.

"Come on Aunt Azar!" Naur teased, charging forward but stopping short. He crouched down and looked up at her, tail wagging behind him in his eagerness, not in a dog like expression of happiness, but in agitation and pent up energy. He bounded to the side and ran at her again, butting his head into her flank to try and knock her over.
"Think you can keep up with the younger generation?" He teased, though he knew very well that she could.
If his mom was any indication, that whole family could probably kick his butt without any real effort put in. If they were taking things seriously. For now, they were having fun. Good exercise, a little practice. Family bonding.
Always good, as Naur was deeply proud of his family.

Azar looked at her nephew before grinning. She was glad to know that even the new generations of the family was growing and were just as good as fighters as the generation before and of course the generation before that too. She was enjoying this fight enjoying the time that she got to spend with her nephew.
She growled playfully as she tumbled over on her side, she laughed as she reached out a paw from where she was swiping at him to get him away. She missed but she was alright with that. She pulled herself up on her feet before she laughed and started to trot the other way. She bounded away a bit sticking her tonuge out at the male playfully with a grin.

The big lion watched his aunt as she circled him, grinning at her swipe. The battle seemed to be done now, both of them mostly playing more than fighting anyway. Not that he could complain. He sat down and waited, to see if there would be any more attacks, but eventually he just rolled over onto his back and grinned at her.
"I think I'll count that a win for myself," he said cheekily, even though there was no real evidence of him having won anything. "I did knock you over, right?"
He was a proud hunter, and a loyal Firekin, but he was also very much a family oriented lion, and he showed it when he was hanging out with said family. He loved their company, from his siblings to his parents or his extended family.
Though, he could be a jerk sometimes. He was Runya's son, after all. He just spent a lot of time around Sergeant Iroh, which seemed to calm him quite a bit.

Azar chuckled slightly she flicked her tail around behind her as she pushed herself up on her feet and then batted at him playfully then grinned ear to ear. She was happy to see her nephew win she enjoyed dueling no matter what. But she was really proud about the way her nephew was fighting she chuckled slightly then nodded. "I'd say you won too!" She laughed then nudged him gently and then she looked at him and nodded.
"Tell you're mom I said hi." she then grinned again. "And make sure you keep up the good work."

Naur grinned. He looked at her, then nodded dutifully.
"I will! She'll need to know I beat you, of course, and she'll probably have to come and show you what for." He laughed, knowing his mother liked a good spar as much as the next Firekin.
He made to nuzzle his Aunt and said goodbye, wanting to head off to go and get some food, then fill his mom in on the 'fight'.
