There was no way she was going to go back empty-pawed.
The dark lioness bore fangs in a silent snarl as she stalked through the pride’s lands. Prey had gone a bit scarce lately it seemed, it was growing more and more difficult to find a good meal, especially since she would only ever get second dibs on anything she brought back. The males ate first, always. They didn’t seem to do much but eat and sleep, or so it seemed to her. Sometimes they could be made to be entertaining, but aside from that…well.
She was the best. She didn’t need to fret over breaking the rules or not, she could handle anything that came her way without cheating, thank you very much. And the roguelands were open territory. They belonged to no one, it wasn’t as though she would be trespassing if she followed this scent across the borders. It would be difficult to drag her catch back all on her own, but since Simo was, once again, no where to be found, Nikonkoni had decided she would do it herself. Again.

She was not alone.
Nikon's ears flicked breifly back as her tail gave a quick irritated lash. If someone had followed her, after she'd resigned herself to going off alone...she was going to be irate. They could have come invited if they wished, rather than sneaking about! Turning, she had an expression across her features that anyone who'd known her more than ten minutes knew promised trouble.
But then she saw who this 'company' was. A rogue. A male rogue. The worst sort, or so she'd discovered. At least the males in the pride were strong enough to have driven out the others who'd been there before. But this male... what was with his fur anyway? That was just...absurd. Gold swirls? Green wings? What, was this another so-called 'god' come to try giving her a hard time?
Her lips peeled back in a brief snarl, he could try if he wished! Hackles rose briefly, then settled. It was silly to pick a fight where there wasn't one, even if it might be entertaining.
"You're trespassing," she snapped, her tail lashing to punctuate the scorn of that word. What? It's not like she just attacked him. Fair warning and all that.
