Gentha =
Zadok =

Gentha was stalking through the dens, stalking about the pride lands like she was on a mission, with a purpose, though she didn't know what either was at the moment. The twisted little cub's paws smacked against the earth heavily, thumping instead of merely walking, as if she was more than she was. Her pretty bright eyes darted around from entrance to entrance looking, searching, until she found it.

Approaching one of the nearby dens, she stuck her head in with a growl. She had heard that new cubs were born, or had bee brought back recently, making them the youngest, making her older, and making them her play toys now; and how Gentha wished to play.

"Hello~" She called, her sweet, yet raspy sounding voice echoing at the entrance, "Is anyone there~?"

Not really knowing any better yet - as his mother had only recently brought him back, Zadok blinked at the voice from outside and sat up. "Hello?" he called back, wobbling about just a bit as he stood up.

As soon as Gentha heard a response she entered the den quickly, guised with a sweet smile, though her eyes held all her wickedness. She found Zadok quickly, watching as he wobbled as he stood, unable to keep his balance on his new legs. Gentha had been there only a few weeks before; unable to run a straight line, or walk without randomly tripping. It was highly embarrassing at times, even if it was expected out of a newborn.

"It is as they say! New cubs..." Gentha purred, as she grew obnoxiously close to the newborn to inspect him. She was not all that pleased with the sight she was seeing. Sure, he had some colors that were desirable to their pride, but most of him was ever so pale.

Zadok blinked when the older female got really close to him, and ended up falling back onto his butt. "Uhm, hi..." he said a bit quietly, trying to figure out why she was -staring- at him like that. Was there something on his face?

Gentha was quiet for a moment as the cub fell backwards onto his behind and uttered his quiet hello's to her. He seemed so timid, or perhaps just intimidated by her; yes, he had to be intimidated by her. She didn't blame him, if she were him, she'd be intimidated by herself too. She was a bringer of pain by nature and heritage, no one would want that brought down upon them.

Gentha let a smirk spread across her face as she thought these things to herself before idly letting her attention drift back to the boy in front of her, "I am Gentha, what did your mother name you?"

Oh man... the look on her face didn't seem very nice. Already Zadok knew that this place wasn't ... friendly, and that his mother pretty much didn't care about him. Even now, she'd taken his older brother off to do -something- and left him and his sister here alone. He wasn't sure where his sister had wandered to... but now this cub was here. What should he do? Try to be nice to her and see what happened, or ...? "Zadok," he finally answered, trying not to act happy or mad or anything else.

"Zadok, hmnnn..." Gentha mused, as she backed away from him for a moment, if only to give herself enough ground to get up and start circling him semi-menacingly. She had picked up little things by watching her parents and the other members of the pride in which she thought would come in handy for the rank she dreamed of having as an adult.

After circling him once or twice, she stood back before him and looked away, as if trying to display disinterest in him to cover up the obvious interest in him and his oddly colored pelt. Pulling her paw up to her eyes she inspected her claws nonchalantly before speaking to him once again, "Would you like to see something interesting, Zadok? It's back at my parent's den."

Oh great, now what was he supposed to do? Hesitating for a moment or two, the smaller cub finally nodded. "All right... if you really wanna show me something," he answered carefully. He was -wary-, but not really afraid. Yes, she had claws but so did he. Of course, hers were bigger and looked sharper...

"Splendid!" Gentha said, attempting to cover up her enthusiasm halfway through saying the word and giving off a small cough at the end. She didn't want him knowing she was excited that he was coming along, because that was lame, and than what she was going to do to him later wouldn't be as fun because than he'd be excited because she was excited.

"Er...Our den is this way," She said, turning away from Zadok and leading the way to where her parents and her siblings slept every night.

Zadok blinked at the sudden change in her tone but nodded and followed her off. He wondered what in the world she might want to show him ...

It didn't take long for Gentha to lead Zadok to where her den happened to be. The dark colored cub stuck her head in and gave a sniff. While the smell of her parents and siblings still lingered, it was not fresh, meaning no one was presently in the den and that was an ideal situation for her. She looked back to Zadok, speaking to him with a type of authority that no cub should hold, "You stay here. I'll be right back."

Gentha hustled her way into the den and rustled around the bedding and things left behind by her parents and siblings, searching for the thing in which her mother had shown her. When Tiis had not been looking, Gentha had been naughty, acting like a little thief and taking one of her pointy needles that had pricked her once before to play with. She hadn't gotten around to putting it back, but it didn't seem that her mother had noticed at the moment, that or her mother had noticed and did not care. Either way she had one, and she was going to show it to Zadok... and maybe poke him with it.

Zadok stopped at the entrance to the den, starting to feel a little sense of dread here. Nothing Gentha had done so far had seemed like play ... or fun. But he was too frightened to simply run off alone. Someone else could grab him then, and start to hurt him...

Several minutes later Gentha emerged, the pain inducing little needle tucked gently beneath her lips so she did not p***k herself with it. A little smirk shown on her face and in her eyes as she trotted over to Zadok and sat before him, trying her best to take the needle out of her mouth without poking herself with it. That didn't really go as planned and she got pricked several times, hissing at the needle before she managed to grasp it in a way that didn't make her wanna whimper like a baby.

"You see this?" Gentha asked rhetorically, holding up in front of Zadok with a gleam in her eye, "My mommy uses these to torture those who aren't demons. She told me how she does it too. She pokes it into their soft squishy parts really slowly so it hurts them lots. My mommy is one of the best discipliners in the pride."

Zadok's eyes widened at that and he started to back away. Or try to. Without being able to see where he was going, he ended up tripping over something and fell sprawling, rolling so that he was on his back. Oh this was bad. "S-stay away!" he yelped, trying to scramble back up to his feet.

"What is wrong with you?" Gentha said, giving Zadok an ugly look. He was acting like a baby and not a demon at all. How could someone bring back someone so wussy to this pride? Didn't they know they'd just be made into a punching bag, or worse, a slave. Gentha put the needle onto the ground to approach Zadok and shoved him with a paw forcefully, a scowl on her face, "Get up you baby! Demons don't run away like cheetahs!"

This boy was beginning to get on her nerves with his odd behavior. Maybe there was something wrong with him in the head, like he was dropped or something when he was born, which she wouldn't dismiss. Sometimes she wondered if some of her brothers were dropped on their heads when they were born, but she would not dare say that allowed, she wanted them to be nice and docile around her, for when she conquered them later.

With her prodding him, Zadok scrambled up to his feet. "Sorry! I just... I tripped on ... something," he blurted out, flushing beneath pale fur. He knew that he was weak and a slave. He'd thought... she was going to poke him with that thing.

"But I'm not a cheetah!" he protested, trying to sound brave. Not that it was working very well, since his gaze kept darting to the sharp needle every few minutes.

"Than stop acting like one! Or I'm not going to invite you to poke the rodents!" She hissed, making a biting motion at his face, but not actually biting him. She liked to intimidate people, it was fun to her, and at the moment she decided that intimidating him was far more fun than attempting to use her mother's needle on him. Besides, he'd probably ruin it by blubbering like a baby before she even poked him with it, even if he was already a baby and to the point where she thought he was going to break down into a blubbering mess.

She walked back over to the needle to pick it up off the ground and placed it gently back between her lips, attempting to talk out of the side of her mouth and poking herself instead with an unpleasant yelp. She growled again and took the needle out to speak to Zadok, "We're going to find the meerkats that live nearby and poke them with this. Come on."

"But... why ...?" he asked, though he -did- follow her, for lack of anything else to do. If he tried to go home, she might poke him, after all. She was a demon, and he wasn't. He had already learned the hard way that that meant if he didn't do what she said, she could hurt him. And no one would care at all.

Gentha stopped mid walk, looking back to the mostly light gray cub and dropped the needle from her mouth before she spoke to him once more, her face with a serious expression upon it, and her words dark as she spoke them, "Do you want me to poke you instead?"

Why in the world was this boy questioning why she was going to do this. They were demons! Or at least she figured they both were, she did not know he was a slave. If she had she would have just started poking him with it, but since she didn't he just annoyed her with his stupid question. Demons liked to hurt things, at least most of them anyway.

"No!" he exclaimed quickly, moving to catch up with her. If she wanted to poke meerkats ... then... really what did it matter? They were just food, right? Maybe if she was good enough to catch them, he could eat one later...

Gentha rolled her eyes at him before picking back up the needle and moving along further. It didn't take her long to find her way to the place she had found the meerkats before. What she hadn't told Zadok is that the meerkats she had found were but juveniles, easier prey than their parents and made lots of squeaking noises. It seemed as if the gang had wandered off to feed, leaving the babies behind. This made Gentha smile and she looked back to Zadok and shushed him in the off chance he were to make any noises.

"If you make too much noise they'll know we're here. So you stay here quietly and watch my mommy's instrument. I'm gonna go get one." She said quietly.

Zadok eyed the needle doubtfully, but he didn't want Gentha to get mad at him, so he nodded. "All right... I ... won't let anything happen to it," he promised softly. He didn't want to hurt the meerkats... But how could he get out of this without getting beaten up?
