exclaim 10/02/10: Hey y'all, I'm sorry to put a damper on things, but I'm having company at the end of October (Thal and Rust are coming out for four days, wheeee~!) which means ... I'm not going to have much time to set this up and get everything organized for November, things will just be too crazy IRL. ;-; The storyline and some characters have been fleshed out (and some are partway colored), but I just won't have the time I need to get ready for a metaplot in November.
There is some good news, though - when I do open up applications for the metaplot, only those individuals who post here will be able to try for slots. I'll send out a PM to let everyone know when the thread is up. <3 I might split it into two separate metaplots for more characters, so that as many people have a chance as playing a character as possible. I'm gunning for January/February of next year now (since December is a crazy month for everyone). smile
-----
The time has come to run another metaplot event~! I'd like to get a sense of how many people are interested in playing a role this time around, so I can plan for how many characters I'll need to design (and what 'levels' they should be). Please check out the Aka'mleli metaplot information to get a sense of how it worked last time! There were 21 main characters (plus their familiars) given out for that event.
What is this event?
- This will be a free event. You don't pay anything if you get a character, and you can keep the character (provided he/she survives!) when it ends.
- You will need to dedicate yourself for one month to RP. I hope to run this event in November. That gives me two months of planning and coloring. Low priority characters will require 0-1 RP per week. Moderate priority characters will require 1-2 RPs per week. High priority characters will require 1-3 RPs per week. I would like to stretch it out longer, but I know how difficult it is for people to dedicate so much of their time to a plot for that long, so I'm again restricting it to one month (four weeks). Again, please read through the Aka'mleli information to see how it was run! You are 'set up' each week with certain RPs you need to do. The plot will likely be a little looser this time (I may be 'adjusting' the plot depending on how people RP!).
- If you do not follow through with the RP, you will have your character taken away from you and given to someone else to RP with for the remainder of the month. If you do follow through with all the RPs required for the metaplot, the character is yours upon completion of the metaplot.
- Characters will die in this plot. If you can't handle that, don't apply!
- Some of these characters will be edited (noninheritable edits only); some may not be. The higher priority characters will likely have the more extensive edits this time around.
- You will be able to apply for specific characters when I set up the applications thread.
What requirements do I need to apply?
- You need to be an active member of SoA, in terms of RP (it doesn't matter if you are active in the main thread or not). If I see you are not active (very low total post count, or you haven't been RPing in months), you will likely not be considered for a position.
- You need to be able to work with whoever else applies/gets a character. If you don't think you can do that, don't post here.
- Everyone who participated in the last metaplot is welcome to apply for a slot in this one.
Other:
- If you are a colorist interested in contributing some SoAs, just let me know via AIM/PM.
- If you have any questions regarding this, PM me or AIM me at bluekillerdonkey.
