I'm starting to learn japanese and so I was wondering
should I start with hiragana ひらがな or katakana カタカナ first?

and does the stuff written in katakana (for ex) are said the same way in hiragana? and does that means there are 2 + ways of saying the same thing writting it diferently?

having that said I was wondering where I could get a full list of verbs and sustantives?

I would probably learn hiragana first, as it is generally used more in writing.

katakana is pronounced the same way as hiragana; it is used to write different things such as foreign words, sound effects (in manga), sometimes names. It can also be used to put emphasis on a word, similar to italicizing or writing in ALL CAPS.

As for verbs, you can use online dictionaries like http://jisho.org/ .
