Tuli: His tendency for waking up in the daylight was beginning to slow itself. Finally. Kusimamia'Utulivu had found himself waking later and later, til finally, it was at night, with the rest of his family. Tail flicking on the ground, the Cub found himself bored. Not too many were around at the moment, and he was just laying in the mouth of the Den, studying the area around him with calm attention. The little male did so love watching others...
Algol: Algol was up every night, watching the stars at least an hour before hunting mice and rats and hares, trying to build his hunting ability, even for his age with small, fierce growls. Nobody was touching him. Nobodsy.
Tuli: It took only a moment for Tuli to notice his brother. Getting up off his stomach, to pad silent as night over to the other, the cub watched for a moment, before purring, "What are you doing, brother?" His head canted to the side, pale eyes blinking once, twice, as he tried to figure out just what Algol was doing.
Algol: "Hunting." Algol snatched up a mouse, offering it to his brother. "Want to try? It's fun." He smirked softly, tail coiling and uncoiling.
Tuli: Tuli pulled a small face, taking the mouse gently in his jaws and sniffing it. He was a bit picky, he'd admit, though this smelled.....pretty good, "Mm.....I'm not...one for hunting, brother..." His own tail was still, and he was just watching Algol now, "I may try it....I suppose....."
Algol: "It builds muscles." Algol stretched, nodding. "Especially helpful for when we grow up. If not hunt, what do you prefer to do?"
He admitted he didn't normally mind his siblings. In fact, most he didn't care about, so it was refreshing bothering a brother.
Tuli: He sighed softly, ears twitching, "Mm....I like watching. Seeing. Watching everyone else....I don't See things about them." He was talking to himself almost now, then he looked over to Algol, "Show me, then. How to do this hunting thing right."
Algol: Algol nodded, moving.
"First, you find a scent. A mouse, a rabbit, something. Then you crouch low and crawl." Algol dropped to show him, prowli g.
"Once you find a target..." He pounced, mock-growling.
"You pounce!"
Tuli: He watched, and then pulled himself into a crouch. The scent of a mouse lingered in his nose, and he crept forwards, watching the mouse. He waited a few minutes, and then finally pounced, picking the mouse up in his mouth, and looking to Algol.
Algol: Algol nodded approvinglky, beaming. Yes! Exactly it!
"That's it. Too bad ma says we're too young to hunt bigger stuff. Mice are good snacks." He nodded. "Crickets tyoo."
Tuli: He purred softly, then pulled a face, "Our sister says that crickets do not taste very good." Tuli was talking about Junior, since he seemed to get along with her quite well, most of the time, "Mice are nice though."
Algol: "Crickets are crunchy. They taste like dry grass smells. It's good." He nodded. Besides, girls were only useful for toying or something.
Tuli: He wrinkled his nose again, "I don't like the smell at all....It's too..... I don't know..." That, and Tuli didn't like crickets anyways. Who wanted to eat something that squirmed in such a fully, gross-feeling way in your mouth?
Algol: "Dry?" Algol offered, calmly. "I don't like grubs. Too squishy!"
Tuli: "Yes. Dry." And then grubs were mentioned and he made a gagging sound, "Give me Mice or rabbits. I won't touch grubs or bugs." Dancing a bit on his paws, as if to show his disgust, Tuli murred low in his throat.
Algol: "I want to catch a birdf one day." Algol licked his lips. "I bet birds are tasty."
Someday, his little muscles would be strong enough. Until them, he'd keep at it!
Tuli: He chuckled, and moved forwards, licking at his brother's head, "You'll be able to do it. I know you will." The little Seer liked giving his siblings confidence.
Algol: "Hopefully." Algol shrugged. Grooming... Did he need a bath? Crud. The young male frowned, looking ovber.
"I wonder if Mom will ever let us catch bigger stuff."
Tuli: He purred softly, nuzzling out of affection, like the lick. Sure, he was emotionally distant, and even his affection never quite reached his eyes, but he still meant it. "She will. For now, we're just tiny. We're still only cubs, after all, Algol."
Algol: "I can't wait to grow up." He stretched, smirking darkly. "I want a harem of females. So I might have an heir." He groomed his paw.
"And being weak will only inhibit me.
Tuli: "....." His ear twitched, watching his brother's face, the impassive look sliding slowly over his maw. "I see...." He wasn't worried about weakness or....females, "I will be a mediator." There was no note of doubt or question in Tuli's voice. He WAS going to be a Mediator.
Algol: "You'd be good at it." Algol said suddenly, smiling at him. "I bet you'd be the best."
He was no seer, but this was family. Algol watched Tuli quietly, smiling.
Tuli: At the change in demeanor again, he relaxed for a moment. His throat dropped again, purring lowly, "Thank you,Algol...." It meant a lot to Tuli, having family support him. His father did.
Algol: "It's what brothers are for. Any time." Algol smirked, as if this was common knoweledge. After all, they were brothers.
Tuli; He chuckled lowly, "I suppose so. Family. It's all about family." He said, purring softly, with another nuzzle. "I suppose I'll help you attain your goal, brother." He'd admit, he didn't like the 'harem of females' idea, but...that was up to Algol, wasn't it?
Algol: Algol nodded, smiling.
"I'd appreciate that. And I promise, if you meet omeone, I won't touch her, at all."
He had standards!
Tuli: Tuli nodded, "Thank you, Algol. Thank you." His tail flicked about and he stood again, with a small yawn, "Mm. Well, I suppose I should go see what the rest of our family is up to. I know some of our Sisters are probably getting into something." He chuckled, 'They tend to."
Algol: "Ugh, better go stop any trouble then.," Algol followed, frowning a bit. Girls. Why did they cause problems?
Tuli: He snorted, "Oh , it's never too much trouble, just silly things." Like eating grasshoppers.
Algol: "For now." Algol sighed. "But someday, Tuli. Some day."
