Cassidy Peterson 666 Demonic Lover 666 I find it funny how Dragon scallies always claim to be Furries. dramallama Because "furry" is a generic term that vaguely describes the person's interests and a fandom they belong to, not the individual. The actual dragon might be a scaly, but scalies are still part of the furry fandom. No they are not.
Fandom is word with many categories and sub categories.
Furry is one.
Scaly is another.
Anthropomorphism is again another.
Saying a Dragon is furry and not scaly is like saying Obama is black and not white, which is what 99.9% of people do.

You have a point: Non-furry furries Anthropomorphic creatures that are also considered to be furry (even with the lack of pelt or fur) include (but are not limited to): dragons and lizards (also known as scalies and herps, respectively), Cetaceans (dolphins and Orcas), birds and gryphons (also known as featheries or avians), and taurs (centaurs being the prime example). *working definition from Wikifur*
But under the branch of people who consider themselves "furries," Scalies, Featheries, fish...(ies? )" They all hold some sort of affiliation with an animal, therefore the general public refers to all sorts of these people affiliated to animals as "furries." I hope that makes sense. heart sweatdrop
