Do any of you know much about the game tester jobs that seem to be all the rage? I'm seriously considering trying it out. I really don't like what I'm going to college for and I think this would be a good thing for me cause from what I understand it isn't a very constant job. Anyways if anyone know anything about it do share =]

sorry i have about half an idea of what your talking about
I don't really know how much the make, how to get into it.. blah blah blah. I have heard that it is a very repetitive job though.. playing the same level over and over again for 8 hours to try to flush out all the bugs.. gets tedious! XD Sure you get to play games all day.. but not how you'd really want to!

ya that would suck since you pretty much memorize the levels.
From what I have read it really isn't that tedious because the deadlines are pretty harsh....but honestly anything has got to be better than social workgonk

although i must admit i do envy you, playing video gamas all day ids my specialty
Right now I'm about half way through my first year of college, but I'm also about half way done with a 4 year Social Work program. I hate it. And before you say "well then why did you pick it" there was good reason behind it.
You see I wasn't willing to move to Vegas or Reno for school. Plus I didn't want to spend 12+ years in college. This social work thing was supposed to be a simple fix to my original career goal of being a psychologist. According to the "professionals" with a bachelors in social work I could do counseling. But I don't want to do it any more and I really don't like it. Because there are way to many differences between my thought pattern and that of a social worker. =/
