Overrated/Underated Characters

Who do you think is the most Overrated & the most Underrated from Naruto? [When I say overrated, I mean they are talked about a whole lot but isn't all that amazing to you. I don't mean you gotta hate them.]


For me, I think Sasuke's the most overrated. Reasoning being I understand he's under the strong influence of Orochimaru or whatever, but at one moment he's ready to kill his 'best friend' for power & the next he's all "I wont be your puppet." (Towards Itachi) I think he's just a confused kid & it frustrates me that he's all gfgfgfdh when he's not even the greatest guy. I don't HATE him though, but his actions make me angry.


I think the most underrated his probably Hinata. She's strong and I haven't seen her fight in the manga yet so she might be stronger, but I think she should have more (and yea I know she kicked a** when they were looking for Bikochu or w/e) but I'd like to see her get to where Neji is, I'll say. I also think Sakura's a bit underrated, especially with her recent actions in the manga- there's no way she can be called weak anymore.

Zaku from the chuunin exams is underrated. He was only like in 3 episodes. I think he's cool but he rarely gets mentioned. They should put him back in naruto

If you only read shonen jump HUGE spoiler. If you download it you probably saw this a long time ago.*They'd have to revive him. Orochimaru killed him to use him along with Kin as sacrifices in order to summon the old hokages when fighting Sarutobi.*

He was being SARCASTIC.
Also, they go, "He's SO SMART!!oneoen!"
Kakashi's probably smarter.
It's already been tested several times in the manga.
Shikamaru ******** up EVERY MISSION. That's not genius, if you ask me. D:
(Don't get me wrong. He's my favorite for OTHER reasons.)

Hmmm... Itachi.
These fans don't give a damn that he killed hundreds of people, is crazy, and continues to kill people and strike fear into the hearts of the towns people.
No one cares he almost killed Kakashi.
No one cares that he troubles Sasuke to this very day (present day in manga would be 3 years from the beginning).
They fail to see that he has no good side.
He's just "awesome" in an evil way. But people don't get that

Overlooked. They have good sides that people just don't see.

YES, HE DIED. But he was ALSO the MOST powerful for at least a good 40 years.
Give the man a break.

I agree that a lot of fans tend to overlook these things. That's kind of the point I was trying to make about Sasuke. These characters have a lot of underlining emotions, but all certain people see is either their cuteness or lack of it/and strength or lack of it.

My friend was on the phone with me and I didnt mean to be a spoiler machine but she was bugging me with the "Oh, I've been a Naruto fan for 35 secs! I heart Sasuke lolol!!!!1!11!1" act so I was like "You know he tries to kill Naruto!" and she says "...but he's cute!" I was like WTF.

Aww! I've come to the conclusion that Chouji HEARTS Shika 'cause he doesn't care about how he looks or whatever, so he's like GLOMPS. I do think he's a tad too excited about their friendship, though. Although, I wish my best friend would bring me luch. Sigh. LMAO, But I love Chouji- he's like an idol to me 'cause I'm not bone thin either.
