Do you want to live in Japan?

Someday I'm going to live in Japan, like Kenshin 4laugh . I was wondering if anyone else wants to live there.

I don't know if it's the best suitable country to actually live there, but I'd love to visit someday. x3 Japan's not all free and all that, so I'm pretty appreciative for America. -nod- But I can see where you're coming from.

Japan is hard as hell to get into. Their immigration policies are much stricter than ours. The only easy way to live there is to go as an exchange student or get a scholarship to go to college there.

I'm going to go for about a month as part of summer program, and then when I'm in college I'll make sure to go as part of my schooling.

I toyed with the idea when I was younger. But the cost of living there (according to friends) is sooooo expensive! @_@ Er, at least compared to most places.

Right now not really because the Japanese yen is worth crap. If you transfered your money from the American dollar to the Japanese yen hell you would be rich.

I've been there and my advice is, don't go if you can't understand or speak Japanese. Jap characters can be a big pain in the behind.

I agree with her. It's hard to stay there since most people there don't speak English much.

Well it is beginning to become a requirement for them to speak English since America is tied in with some of their major companies. I would find it hard to learn since most people take "six years" to completely learn the language. But the way things are going you may only need one or two years to live normally in Japan. A lot of the Kanji's are not being used anymore.

Finding people who could understand english isn't so hard in big cities like Tokyo and Yokohama...but in Machida?
Arrgh. I don't even want to remember.
The American base in Japan is pretty cool. They have restos and free refills.
LMAO. Its just like me to remember things that are food-related.
