I was very lucky that my friend moved back where I live

I found out he was a furry and hes introduced me to a lot of other furs

maybe you could try to find some other furs that live nearby through the internet? (if you havent already of course)

I think you'd be surprised how many there are, part of it is remembering to look outside of your regular social circles. I live in the sticks of the sticks, Central Pa and I know four personally, and know that there are at least three more that I haven't met but are friends of friends.

there are furries everywhere. Yeah..you'd be surprised how many actually live close to you. If you want to see... look at pounced.org (won't give you all the furries, but it'll give you some)
or post on Furaffinity forums to see.
