[Jericho Bellwether]

Jericho moved quietly through the snowy streets of Barton, huffing through chattering teeth and frowning at his foggy breath. It was cold and his armor was starting to frost. Irritated and cold, he was quickly losing focus on anything but a warm fire, until he was nocked on his rear. "What in the name of Gambino was THAT!?" he growled, leaping to his feet and brushing the snow off himself. Looking about, he spied a small green creature, glaring with red eyes at him. "Grunny." was all he said as he drew his sword and ran forward. Fur flying as he skidded to a halt, Jericho spat, realizing he barely scratched his enemy.

(2nd attack of day 1)
Turning on his heel and planting his feet, Jericho locked his eyes on his now furious opponent. Hissing loudly, the grunny leaped with incredible speed at Jericho's throat, jaw opened wide, ready for blood. However, Jericho saw the attack coming and, with a rueful smirk, batted the incoming projectile with the flat of his blade. Yelping loudly, the Grunny hit snow-covered cobblestone and slid a considerable distance. But the creature wouldn't be defeated so easily.

Smirking and letting out a half laugh, Jericho swung his blade to the side and began to sprint at his enemy, who leaped with equal vigor at Jericho's throat. As the distance between the two closed, Jericho turned his blade and ripped it through the air, bringing the blade's lethal edge to the Grunny's head. Unfortunately, his aim was high, and Jericho missed striking the mortal blow. As the two passed each other, though, the Grunny screamed in rage, its beloved ears having been taken by its foe.

(2nd attack of day 2)
Panting from his effort, Jericho's breath heaved in great clouds of fog from his mouth. "This thing needs to die. Right now." he growled as his enemy leaped at his back, a guttural roar escaping the Grunnies small being. Without turning around, Jericho shouted as well, thrusting his blade over his shoulder. As his blade impacted Grunny, the street once again grew quiet, the snow swirling around his body. Several lights in the surrounding buildings had turned on during the battle, and Jericho decided it might be a good time to head home himself. Cleaning his blade of Grunny remnants, Jericho thrust his hands into his armpits and began to head home, grumbling about the cold the entire way.

Entering his home, Jericho lit a fire in his hearth and removed his frozen armor. Stretching his cold limbs, he brewed some hot cocoa and plopped down in his favorite chair, sighing relief and sinking into the well worn cushions. Bringing his cocoa to his lips, Jericho was about to sip of the steaming chocolate treat when he heard a screech and a shatter. Almost as if in slow motion, Jericho watched as a second Grunny crashed through the nearby window, collided with his mug of cocoa, and screeched as molten chocolate poured all over its green being. Leaping from his chair and snatching his sword from beside the hearth, Jericho readied himself to fight this new foe.

(2nd attack of day 3, 2nd Grunny)

Staring at his foe, Jericho let out a small chuckle as he watched the evil creature squirm and shake the hot cocoa out of its fur. "Karma, you little green devil!" he shouted. Unfortunately, his taunt only served to piss the little demon off, which resulted in a gutral howl and a lightning fast attack. Seeing through the move, Jericho jerked his hand to draw his blade, which was unfortunately frozen to the sheath. Hand slipping from the hilt, Jericho yelped as the Grunny crashed into his face, sending him sprawling onto the floor. The Grunny leaped as Jericho fell, landing behind him, seemingly chuckling. "Karma, indeed." Jericho groaned.

Flipping himself up from his downed position, Jericho cracked his neck and tossed his still frozen blade to the fireside, hoping it would thaw before the battle was over. Almost before Jericho was ready, the Grunny attacked again, leaping with a hiss at Jericho's throat. Luckily, Jericho saw the attack coming and, with a smirk, kicked the Grunny mid-air. Roaring, the green creature flipped through the air, landing on the wall next to the hearth. Roaring again from its improbable position, the Grunny flashed an evil glare, red eyes glistening from the fire.

(2nd attack of day 4, 2nd Grunny)

Rotating calmly out of the kick, Jericho planted his feet in a low stance, ready for the next attack. More than ready, even, as the Grunny launched itself from the wall, teeth glistening and eyes burning. "Eat this!" Jericho yelled, unleashing a powerful attack, in the form of a super-man punch straight to the Grunny's face. His fist landing just above the creature's mouth, and center of gravity, Jericho followed through, both feet temporarily leaving the ground. The Grunny also followed through, though far less gracefully as its body rotated through the close-line and flipped uncontrollably through the air. Landing splayed on the ground, the Grunny let out a grunt, as Jericho planted his feet once again.

Jericho moved carefully towards his downed foe, awaiting for some kind of reaction from the creature. As the Grunny lay grunting and squirming, trying to regain its breath and senses from the punch, Jericho stood silently. "Why are you here?" he whispered, pondering the Grunny's objectives and who could be behind the attacks. "Can't have you attacking anyone else, though, you evil little creature!" Jericho stated to the downed foe. Sweeping a leg back, Jericho delt a strong kick to the Grunny's center of mass, sending it hurling across his small home and into a wall. But the beast landed on its feet, breaths heaving, red eyes shining forth an inferno of hatred. The battle wasn't over quite yet.

Staring with equal intensity into the Grunny's beady eyes, Jericho moved forward, a killing intent emanating from his person. "You've over stayed your welcome." he said, kicking the Grunny one final time. With one final roar, the Grunny hurtled into the hearth, landing amidst the burning logs. Sparks exploded from the fireplace and smoke billowed up through the chimney, masking any gruesome scene Jericho might behold. Standing silently, Jericho stared into the fire, lost deep in thoughts of what might be happening.

Hours passed since his last battle, and Jericho had finally cleaned his home of debris and fallen asleep when a knock came at his door. "Oh for the love of...!" he groaned, standing to answer it. Opening the door, Jericho opened his mouth to greet his guest, but the words caught in his throat. Standing before him was one of Gambino's labtechs. "Guess you know why I'm here, then?" the man said, cocking his head and smirking evilly. "You're here to try and destroy Modmas, aren't you!?" Jericho growled. The labtech's response was a quick punch towards Jericho's face, which he evaded rather easily. "You don't have any manners either, do you!?" Returning the punch, Jericho hit the labtech in the face, sending him sprawling backwards into the snow.
