The grunny dodges easily and nips the ferret on the tail.

After a night of rest in the branches of a tree with her companions, Akira wanders back into the forest silently moving from tree to tree. Soon she discovers the grunny from last time and attempts a sneak attack with her dragon.

Akira's dragon surprises the grunny and tears an ear off. The grunny snarls and swipes a paw at the dragon. The dragon easily dodges, flies high above it, and prepares to attack again.

Akira's dragon swoops down slashing at the grunny viciously ripping its green fur. The grunny wobbles violently and struggles to its paws. The dragon retreats and nuzzles Akira affectionately, who pats it and says fondly, "You did a great job, but don't get cocky now." The dragon snorts as if to say, "I won't geez. I'm not some hatchling."

Akira stretches as the first sun rays shine on her face. "Ah another day, another grunny to kill." Prodding her animal companions awake, she hops down from the tree and continues through the forest following the trail of blood and scraps of green fur.The grunny seemed to have a rough night, it was pale and had become very gaunt. Akira decided to try and put the poor thing out of its misery. She draws her bow out and notches an arrow to it, taking aim at the grunny from the safety of the bushes.

The arrow hits the grunny's side and it squeals in pain, unfortunately it wasn't a fatal hit. Akira sighs and notches another arrow to her bow, praying desperately that it will hit. Her bird flutters anxiously around her head, the dragon shields the golden rabbits eyes from viewing the gruesome scene and the unicorn assists in steadying Akira's hand.

Attack Unsuccessful! Hp Remaining: 3 Akira falls to the ground in tears as her arrow misses the almost fatally wounded grunny. "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..." she repeats over and over sobbing. Her dragon curls around her in an attempt to comfort her, soothing her with soft coos. While her other animals crowd around her keeping her warm and safe as she cries herself to sleep. Her dreams that night were frightening and as dark as her sadness and grief of that moment.

Akira bolted awake, her breathing short and her eyes wide. She looks around at the awakening animals with a small smile, "One more time, this time for sure I'll kill it..." The animals around her nodded as she stands and looks into the clearing where the grunny lays. It was in terrible condition, its breathing was terribly shallow and it seemed like it had barely moved over night. Akira quickly pulls another arrow from her bow. "This has to hit..it will hit..."

Akira's arrow flew into the tree above the grunny and embedded itself halfway through the tree. She shakes her head, "I can't allow myself to feel doubt. I will save this grunny from anymore suffering." She notches a final arrow to her bow and closes her eyes focusing on her arrow. "I know I can do this..." She lets the arrow fly...

Attack Successful!
Grunny Defeated! (Victory music plays XD)
The arrow hits home and the grunny heaves one final breath before it goes still. "Finally that poor grunny has left this world." She walks silently over to the corpse and kneels before it. Raising a flat palm over it she says, "May your spirit go to rest with your ancestors. No amount of apologizing will absolve me of your suffering at my hands, but at least I can give you a proper burial." Using her bare hands, she claws out the earth alone until she has a decent sized hole. Before she places the grunny inside her animals gather around the grunny and each touches their nose or beak to its bloody side in solace. Akira smiles and lays a hand on their heads, "You guys are the best..." Once the moment is over she places the grunny in its grave and fills it in. She bows her head once more for a moment and stands, ready to tackle whatever she comes across next.
