Kit paused, her twin tails flicking softly as her ear pricked up. Ahead there was the slightest sound of movement coming from a darkened alley. She shifted her weight to the balls of her feet as she crept slowly toward it, the kitsune scenting the air, sorting through the vast arrays of scents as the noise grew louder. There, a pair of green ears poked up around a cardboard box, a gleam of red eyes showing as she realized the source of the sounds. A grunny, routing through the debris for some reason known only to it. ThegGrunny hissed as it rushed at her, quicker then she expected, but she had just enough time to raise a hand and let a blast of light out of her hand as she dove to the side. The grunny went down, skidding as it turned to face her. Singed from the pure light but still raring for a fight.

The grunny hissed again, charging the kitsune as she steadied herself, her hand up and ready to let loose another blast of pure light when the grunny dodged suddenly. It took her by surprise and make her miss. She tried to avoid the grunnys' charge but it bit her, digging it's teeth into her arm as she started shaking it frantically. The kitsune struggled with the surprisingly strong grunny, finally yanking it from her arm, blood trailing down her arm as she threw it into the cardboard box. After a moment the green ears popped over the edge of the box, the red eyes following to glare at her as the uninjured grunny plotted it's next move against her.
