A girl full of Christmas cheer and excitement met the disturbingly red eyes of a grunny, ready to begin the battle. With a fierce battle cry, Heartache pointed toward the creature and ordered the young Daiji into battle for her first attack; "Burn him to a crisp! . . .Please."

But the small dragon missed entirely. face planting into the dirt instead of hitting it's mark, a grunny who merely hopped to the side. "Well that could have gone better. . ."

"Why don't we try this one more time." Heartache mumbled under her breathe, sure she give this grunny on run for its money. Well if it had money, which in all likelihood it did not. Anyway, she left the young daiji to rest, rushing in herself.

And then failed beyond comprehension. Heartache ran forward with a rushing bull's spirit and ended up tripping, mimicking the failure of her comrade only moments before. Keeping the candle outstretched to prevent it from being snuffed out, the girl picked herself back up into a sitting position slowly, her pride significantly bruised. "Grunnies are stupid anyway." She grumbled, sticking her tongue out at the creature as she was left defenseless. The small form of insult was all she had left after a humiliating defeat.

"Alright, day two!" Heartache was back for more, though admittedly still bruised from the grunnies revenge the last two times her attack had failed. But this time it would be different, she was determined. But even fierce determination without proper concentration can prove to be useless, as she was soon to find out. With another attack full of spirit, she met yet another failure, charging and slipping backwards this time, just to mix things up a little.

Staring up at the sky, Heartache imagine the clouds themselves were mocking her. "This is absolutely ridiculous now." She growled, unable to find a good reason to explain her continuous defeat.
