Square Enix?

Did anyone else hear that Square is trying to buy Eidos? (saw something on google but couldn't open link on dial up)

If they do what do you think that would mean for Legacy of Kain?

Oh Raziel as a summons in a new Kingdom Hearts game? rofl

Yeah, but I didn't really pay much attention.
I don't think they'll actually do it and if they do, I hope they don't stick Kain and Raziel in any Kingdom Hearts games...
Normally that's reserved for Disney and Final Fantasy characters.
And neither Kain nor Raziel are suited for what I see as a game geared towards kids.
But I would love to see them in a Final Fantasy game.

Yeah, KH is Disney-Final Fantasy only.

If it wasn't, we'd have been seeing characters like Aya Brea,
Edward Elric, Crono, Serge, Elazul, etc. in Kingdom Hearts as well.

I'm not really sure what to think about Square buying Eidos, honestly. :I

I'd love to see Aya in a KH game, I'd love even more if they put Eve from the first PE in a KH game...

I don't think Disney would like it all that much.
And that would make it all the more amusing.

Her design would be so easy to turn into a KH style Heartless creature.

I dunno about you guys but i'd sell the remainder of my soul to square-enix if they put Kain and Raziel in Dissidia 2 or to produce action figures @_____@

Random comment but i had no idea they had a contract with capcom to produce devil may cry figures >__> seems they're sticking their fingers in all sorts of pies...

As lame as this sounds...
I was reading the newest issue of Game Informer and it seems that, for the newest Tomb Raider game, the Publisher is Square Enix and the Developer is Crystal Dynamics...
I dunno, I just thought you guys might want to chew on that for a bit.

Look, as stressing as this sounds maybe you should give Square Enix the benefit of the doubt. Square Enix is fairly decent with getting good quality games out. Maybe this means they'll make an effort to getting a new game out. Perhaps they could try and contact the old team.

Try and think positive. Do you honestly think they'll intentionally screw with it? That's a bad business practice and could hurt them

I never said I really had a problem with it.
I just said that I have a problem with KH (which is the ONLY thing I dislike about Square Enix ) and passed along that bit of info about the new Tomb Raider game.

If I'm going to have people all defensive about it, I guess I'll just keep my opinions to myself from now on.
