"What the hell happened?" A teenage boy, asked as he looked around town, seeing the green bunny like creatures terrorizing the place, breaking into houses and scaring off any animal or object that dared to get close to them.
"It seems this town has been taken over by some sort of monsters." A man, slightly older, averaged around his younger 20s spoke up to answer the teenager's question.
"Oh, I don't know, they seem kind of cute." The only girl of the group spoke up as she bent down to pet one of the strange green creatures.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Kari." Another teenager spoke up, feeling concerned as to the unknown power of the creatures that loomed around them.
"Why not, Chase?" She questioned him, finding it hard to believe that the creatures were anything but harmless. "They don't seem to be much of a threat."
"Things aren't what they always appear though." Chase chuckled grimly.
The last member, the third teenager and the most timid spoke up, "M-Maybe we should get out of here."
The first speaker stomped his foot in aggravation, "Dammit, Nikolai, stop being such a wuss! They don't even look like they could be that dangerous!"
"But Shion..."
"Your friend's right, you know." A voice called out from a short distance away. Making the group look in all ways to find the speaker. "Down here."
The group of five looked down and gazed in bafflement. There, standing right before them was a gray and white cat and it had spoke!
"A cat? Did it just talk?" Chase gawked in amazement.
"Aww, it's rather cute." Kari giggled in amusement, reaching out a hand to pet his head gently.
The cat purred in gratitude, but soon moved away from her hand to stare at them, "Now's not the time for pleasantries. We need to get out of here before the grunnies start to attack. They may not look like much, but if they take us down in swarms, we're done for."
"But where should we go?" Nikolai worried, "They seem to be running all over the place."
"My owner has a shop near here." The cat tried to soothe the boy's worries, "We'll be safe there and we can fill you in on what exactly is going on here."
"Tsk! And why should we trust you?!" Shion patronized, his arms crossing over his chest as he gave the cat a look of distrust.
"I never said you had to, but I figured I'd give you a hand, or rather a paw, in escaping from these things."
"It might be wise to take him up on the offer, Shion. Besides, I think we can trust him." The older male smiled toothily at his comrade.
"If you ask me, you're a bit TOO trusting, Kai."
Kai chuckled, he had always liked Shion's stubborn nature, it was quite adorable even if almost everyone else had disagreed.
"Are you coming or what?" The cat asked as he looked back at the group, wanting an answer soon before the grunnies became aggressive towards their presence.
"Yeah, we're coming." Chase responded first, dashing to catch up with others right behind as the feline made his way down the stone paved road, hoping to get back to the Barton Boutique as quickly as possible. "By the way, my name's Rufus. Nice to meet ya!"

"Rufus, huh? Kind of a strange name for a cat, dontcha think?" Chase mused with a smirk.
"My name is not weird!" Rufus defended, honestly pleased with the name Ian had given him when he was nothing more than a kitten.
"A'ight, a'ight. No need to get all in a huff about it. Sheesh!" The white haired teen rolled his eye, wishing that people would stop lecturing him about the most ridiculous of things.
Rufus sighed, already becoming annoyed with the guy, "In any case, we're almost there- Oh no!"
"What's wrong?" Kari questioned, a look of worry on her face.
"There's some grunnies up ahead and I don't think they're willing to let us pass." Rufus said with a grim tone.
Kai smirked, "I really don't think they'll be too hard to take care of. Right, Shion?"
The black, shoulder length haired teen grinned in excitement, "Damn right. These so called 'grunnies' won't last 10 seconds with me around." He then got into a fight position with one foot positioned in front of the other, his arms, the right being brought back, elbow bent to his side while the left stuck out, almost completely straight in front of him.
Three grunnies hopped towards the group, looking menacing and ready to pounce.
"Only three? This won't take long!" Shion charged.
Chase snickered, "Such a shame he's getting cocky again."
Kari sighed, silently agreeing with Chase, Shion had always had a bad habit of rushing into things without thinking it through first. But, she knew it would hurt her friend's feelings if she were to make known of this fault, so as always she remained quiet, cheering him on quietly from the sides.

"FORESHOCK STRIKE!"
Shion punched the air with his right hand, a wave emitting from the force as it hit one of the grunnies, forcing it back, away from the others, "Now you're mine!" The boy then sprinted quickly, not wanting to miss the clear shot as he pounded his left fist down, feeling confident that it would hit his target. When the smoke cleared however, it was seen that the grunny had managed to dodge the attack, leaving Shion with nothing but a crack in the stone ground to show for his efforts.
"What the?!"
Chase laughed, holding his sides due to the ensuing laughter that kept coming from his mouth, "Some attack, man. Maybe you should've let Kai handle this one. Man, guy can't even hit a green bunny! That's just sad. Haha!"
"Grr! Shut up, Chase!" The dark haired teen glared at his teammate in great distaste.
"Would you like me to take over, Shion? I really don't mind." Kai offered, feeling pity towards his friend. It really was a shame, but mistakes happened on the battlefield. He just felt fortunate that the younger male had not been harmed during said attack. Especially since the creatures had been given an easy opening after the attack had miss. Kai had to wonder, why didn't they take the opportunity?
Feeling bitter from his mistake, Shion faced the grunny he had targeted the first time and decided to try a new method. Hopefully this one would work.

"Shion, please be careful." Kari bit her lip, hoping that the result was a better one this time around.
Nikolai eyed the grunnies wearily, it was strange that this world had enemies like these. He wondered what could've caused the creation of such strange monstrosities. Perhaps once Rufus had gotten them safely to his owner, they would find out more about this place and what was going on.
Rufus watched anxiously. Hoping that the group could handle the green mutants. It wasn't that Ian wasn't reliable, but he didn't want to place the young man in danger. Not to mention, it would really help if these people were strong enough to take on the perils that had been brought to this place.
"Lets do this!" Shion charge once again towards the enemy, but this time his approach was different. After a quick run, without warning, Shion leaped into the air and somersaulted forward, continuing down as his body spun down onto the grunny, "WHIRLING DROP-KICK!" successfully, he landed a rough kick on its head.
Bringing out his other foot so that he would land without damaging himself, he turned to see the progress of his result and was shocked to see that the grunny was still standing, looking a bit dazed, but otherwise perfectly fine.
"Wha-WHAT THE HELL?!"
"You won't defeat a grunny with small attacks like that. You're underestimating them." Rufus intervened.
"Dammit!"
Kai sighed and pulled his hand into one of the side pouches of his belt, bringing out a black gun. "Guess I better get to work as well."
"No one asked for your help." Shion glowered, upset that his attack didn't have the desired effect he was hoping for.
"Relax, I won't be taking your opponent." Kai smiled as he stared at the two on each side of the grunny that Shion had targeted, debating on which of them he should take out first.

"As long as you stay out of my way." Shion reprimanded as he charged into the fight again. Unfortunately, the grunny were ready and hopped out of the way before he could get in another attack.
Though grunnies aren't the smartest of foes, they easily can figure out a way to take down their opponent if left a big enough opening and surely enough once Shion had made the mistake of missing them again, they were ready.
The supposed leader of the three led the attack as they jumped onto Shion, with enough force to knock him to the ground.
"Ooph!" With a snarl, the young teen had realized that the enemy had him trapped, "Dammit, get off!"
He struggled and in the end, got them off due to their light weight, but not without a few bite marks to accompany the damage.
"Ugh! Stupid little..."
"Haha! You should see yourself, Shion!" Chase chortled mockingly, watching the other male regain his composure.
"I don't want to hear crap like that coming from a cowardly a*****e like you!" Shaking his fist as his teammate. "You'll see, I'll end this in no time!"
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Shion glared at his opponent, "The time for playing around ends here!"

Feet taking off at a fast pace, Shion felt good about this one. His fists ready for impact, he got near when all the sudden the dark haired male fell fast and hard, hitting the ground hard. "Tsk!" It seemed today just wasn't a good day for he martial artist.
"Of all the rotten-"
"Haha, I thought you said you weren't going to be playing around anymore, Shi-Shi." Snickering, the white haired teenager grinned in amusement. <******** off!" Shion groaned, he noticed his body was getting tired. It was strange though considering the fight had just began. Why was his stamina so low?
"It's okay, Shion." Kai smiled, "Rest up for a bit, I'll take over from here."
The oldest in the group raised his gun at the two grunnies on the sides and easily took them down each with one shot, then aimed the gun at the leader and fired.

Shooting a bullet straight at the grunny, Kai was surprised to find it came out of it completely unfazed.
"Geez, what is it with this thing?! It should be dead by now!" Chase groans, getting impatient with how things were progressing slowly
"Hmm, perhaps I need some stronger bullets."
"But then why did it work on the other two so easily?" Kari pondered, it really didn't make sense that they had been taken down without as much problem.
Rufus sighed, "It doesn't matter right now, please defeat this one quickly so that we can get going."
