Shakuntala rose early from the den that she now shared with Kule. She stood at the mouth looking over at the pride. Now that her children were startin to filter back into the pride the older lioness was starting to feel a little more at ease. Her son was back, he used to be named Kairu but along the way he had found his true name to be Nitesh. Semira couldn't help but smile when she heard the name it suited him perfectly.

Shakuntala didn't want to travel to far away from the mouth of the den, she knew the Kule would wake soon. She enjoyed her days with Kule, it was the first time she had a relationship like this... she had been in. Once her family had her had been split up she had been on her own, then she found her new family and came to this pride. Where she thought that her life would be made, but then Mysmyr rocked everything and things turned upside down. The lioness didn't know then if she and her cubs would be welcome in the pride, but things had settled and then she had found Kule. Now with her older litter coming home everything was amazing, it was safe and healthy and she well she was happy.

Kule stretched forward and bit, a sidden chill hitting his side. He gave a frown. Shakuntala always woke up earlier than he did, but he gave a fond smile as he saw her at the mouth of their den. With little hesitation he padded to her side.

"Good Morning," he greeted softly. "Did you sleep well?"

It had been a long time since he had left the pride for himself, but it did not seem so terribly long at all. His sister... the outside had changed her, and not for the better. He hoped none of Tala's children returned so bitter and that his, once his children came into the world, would not see the world in such a harsh light.

He was glad, though, that the pride seemed to settle down, especially with the enforcement of no outsiders that the pride had seemed to take on.

Tala turned imediatly and looked as Kule came to her side. She purred and rubbed against him when he reached his side. She loved having him around she was able to lean on the lion she now called a mate. "Yes" she said quietly, "I did sleep well" she told him a smile on her face. "How about you my dear." she asked looking up into his eyes.

Tala was older the Kule by a fair amount but to her the age difference meant nothing. She saw Kule as an equal someone who could take care of her, and when she was at her best she would take care of him too. "Kairu has returned" she whispered, "Well Nitesh now" she said with a chuckle. Tala had grown acustom to the name changes but now that it was her son returning to the pridal lands it was a touch strange.

"I slept very well," he responded with a small grin, giving her a nuzzle. He kept his nose to her, breathing in her scent. There was something about Tala that made his whole insides warm and his heart grow strong.

"An excellent name," he murmured. "Is he the only one so far?" He asked. He, too, had been the first of his siblings to return and he was sure one or two were still out in the world. The pride lands were far more dear after such an absence. He was lucky that the spirits gave him his name quickly.

Tala nodded, "I do beleive he is the only one to have returned thus fair" he is the only one I have seen anyhow. She was worried about her babies out in the world, all alone, although she knew in all likely hood they would have found friends and others out there in their travelors. "I am a little worried that some of them wont return." he told in all honesty. Tala knew that it was possible, some lions wouldn't return from their quests it was part of life.

Thinking of children Tala truend to Kule, they had yet to really discuss cubs yet, but she was beginning to feel that desire inside again. Now her cubs were old enough and some might even be making cubs of their own soon, to her that meant that perhaps it was time... she wasn't one hundread percent sure if it was something Kule was interested. She looked at him trying to find the words for it.

Kule gave a nod. It took longer for some to find their names than other's after all. "I'm sure they'll all return. They are strong and will make it back," he murmured in comfort. Tala was acting oddly though. Kule tilted his head a bit, seeing her change in demenor. "What's on your mind, Love?" he asked. He shifted back, looking upon her in curiosity.

Tala shifted her weight, it still surprised her how well Kule could read her. It really was surprising,, no one had ever been able to tell what she was thinking, though with Kule it was like she wore her heart on her sleave totally transparent to him. "I was thinking of cubs" she whispered. She saw no point to beating around the bush or trying to be secretive about her thoughts, Kule would be able to tell any way.

She nuzzled into his fur as she spoke enjoying the warmth of his main, her mind drifted to thoughts of what her children with Kule would look like, all tan and black.

Kule watched her shifting, wondering what was making her so nervous or adgitated. His voiced concern had been answered only moments later. "Cubs?" he asked - the statement could mean a lot of things, but he could guess what she wanted - and she wanted cubs.

He was not opposed to the idea. He actually kind of liked it.

He gave her a nuzzle, flicking his tail to curl around her as much as it could. "Cubs sound... wonderful," though his tone of his voice said something else.

"Tala, I don't... I don't know if I'm ready to be a father..." He gave a pause, nuzzling her to comfort himself more than anything and as a way of apology. "Just... just a little longer...?"

Tala did her best to hide her disappointment in his answer... he was still young... she was still young. She had had first litter early it was okay to wait... the were a young couple even. "Okay Abu we can wait." she told him nuzzling into his side. She was a little sad and disappointed but not mad.

She turned offering her mate a weak smile.

Abu frowned, feeling a bit disappointed in himself. He did not want to be a bad father though. He was barely out of his adolescence himself - just barely an adult. He didn't know if he could care for cubs as a father himself yet, though he had always wanted to be one.

He had not wanted to disappoint Tala, but it was better to be safe now than sorry later. Despite feeling horrible for making Tala wait for something she wanted, he felt like he was doing to right thing. But why did the right thing have to feel so bad sometimes...?
