These cubs are to stay in the pride and are not to leave.
Please make sure to follow the guideline for each cub that is up for contest in their individual post.
If you are not familiar with the Bahari'mtoto pride, please check out the Pride Information Thread.
You may try for both cubs if you are a newbie to the pride, but you cannot win both. You can only win one cub.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me in this thread or in the main shop thread. I don't bite. =D
You may only choose from the regular adult ranks for your cub: Kinengwe (Hunter), Nyangumi (Guard), Pomithi (Story-teller), Pombuka (Cub-sitter), and Mwani (Healer).
Council (Mtaguso-maji) and Mshauri ranks are not available.

[ The Family ]Aphrodite: The mother of the litter. She is afraid of water, not as bad as when she was younger, but prefers to not on into it unless she really has too. She's very proud of her pink color, which she inherited from her grandmother and is an overall, playful lioness. She has a large family here in the Bahari'mtoto, lots of siblings and now nieces and nephews running around as well. (Owned by Kireiryuu)
Note: Her siblings are named: Poseidon, Tyche, Eurydice and Artemis.
Kota: The father of the litter. He loves the water very much. He's a very happy-go-lucky lion who always has a smile on his face. (Owned by Summer Rain 07)

Name: Bakkhos
Name's meaning: Usually described as meaning “noisy or riotous” it also has some connections to Dionysus, a larger than life god figure characterized by overindulgence and revelry
Personality: As a cub Bakkhos will be very outgoing, to the point that he may annoy. He will take a while to grow into his skin, growing at a rapid rate through to his adolescence. He will be clumsy but never truly embarrassed, feeling wholeheartedly that someone needs only to be happy with themself to be happy with the world. Recognizing his mother’s fears he will strive to “dominate” the water in any way he can, trying to prove that there is nothing to fear. This might get him in some trouble, but I’d eventually like him to try and push this mindset on others. Overall he will become a sort of encroaching but loveable adult who is fun to be around in small doses. I’d also like a bit if he were teased for his coloring in relation to his size, something to temporarily set him off his mental course.

Name: Welchenos
Name's meaning: A minor Greek god of vegetation and fertility - chosen because of his future rank and his future interest in plants
Personality: Welchenos has an inquiring mind, and inquiring minds want to know. They want to know things like what'll mommy do if I go for a swim while she's not watching me? What does that bird want? Why did that bird take my fish? What will my brother do if I bury him in seaweed? What'll Daddy say when he finds out I buried him in seaweed?
It isn't that he's always bad, or even always loud or excitable. He's just as inquisitive when it comes to questions like Why do whales sing? He loves to investigate, and he really is sorry if he scares his parents - but it won't occur to him that he scared them the next time something needs investigating. He can't leave any stone unturned, and he's not the type to sit by while others are having fun or learning. He absorbs information very quickly. Gradually, he'll focus his mind and his inquisitive nature for the benefit of the pride.
Future Rank: Mwani
Additional Notes: He's always going to be getting into something - from birth, he's going to be in the water, scaring his mom, chasing girls to see what they do, poking his nose into little nooks and crannies in tide pools. I'd like for him to have an RP early in life, preferably with an adult in the pride, where he ends up hurting himself on an adventure, and finds that his cuts heal faster when bound with seaweed. This starts to turn his mind toward the world of plants and vegetation, rather then accidental adventures and scaring his parents. He'll gradually learn more and more about them, until he is quite an accomplished Mwani indeed.
I'd also like for more RPs that really spur him into becoming a Mwani - maybe a friend gets sick and he stays up watching the Mwani try and help them recover, or when one of his sisters has a tough time carrying cubs, he needs to find a way to help save her and his nephews and nieces. It won't be just oh, he ended up this way, I want him to feel called to healing.

Flings or rogue breedings can cause unrest with the sea, and are discouraged; adolescent breedings are also discouraged and will not be supported by the pride the way adult breedings are.

Name: Adrastos
Name's meaning: Greek, Undaunted
Personality: Adrastos enjoys defying his color and being sneaky enough to be a good hunter even if it's just play right now. He doesn't think people take him seriously because of his pink coloring so he doesn't want to be a nyangumi when he grows up. He's constantly striving to prove himself and stand out amongst the numerous siblings. He takes after his father in his love of the sea. He doesn't understand why his mother fears something as beautiful and important as the sea.

Name's meaning: Greek, A wise teacher
Personality: Kiron will be one of those strong silent types but more strong then silent. He's not afraid to tell you exactly what he thinks and then enforce it if it's needed. If he weren't so smart you'd think that he's just the muscle of the group. He enjoys hunting but his true passion lies in figuring everything out. Understanding the ways of the sea and the things she gives them. He watches everything carefully so he'll know how to do it, and not make a total fool of himself the first time he tries it.
Future Rank: Mwani

Name: Phantasos
Name's meaning: One of the Oneiroi which were told to be brothers of Hypnos (the god of Sleep) - he presents images of earth, rock, water and wood in the dreams of humans.
Personality: A very sleepy, dreamy cub. He's not out-right lazy, he just likes to sleep in a bit longer than the rest. Phantasos will be a cuddle-bug and a Mama's boy to the very core... likely to still insist on curling up with his family even when he's probably considered too old for that kind of thing. He can be slow to the uptake but he's NOT stupid. He's very neutral towards water - not afraid of it (with strong tides perhaps being an exception), but he's not going to spend all day every day swimming. I'd like for him to perhaps FAIL his Rite of Passage at least once. As an adult he's much the same - laid back and super cuddly... just a big old teddy bear of a lion. He loves the young ones of the pride, which would lead him to the eventual rank of Pmbuka.
Future Rank: Pombuka
Additional Notes: He probably wouldn't put together his fondness of little ones with the possibility that HE could be a father himself... until he found the right lady who'd be patient with him.

Name: Pontos
Name's meaning: God of the sea, father of the fish and other sea creatures. - Greek primordial deities
Personality: Pontos is the big brother that you have always wanted - even if he isn't necessarily the eldest. He wants to look out for the others even if they don't want looking out for! He will be especially protective of his sisters! Pity any male who wishes to take them as a mate.
He has always had a fascination with the guards, being protective of his family and coming from such a large family meant that being protective of the pride came second nature to him. He wished to go on patrol and not being allowed by the pride borders was something that would annoy him for a while so he would try to guard his siblings even more. He isn't the best behaved cub, always wanting to do the things he shouldn't but it comes from a curiosity for things and longing to be the best lion ever just to look over those he loved.

Name: Anteros
Name's meaning: Greek for "mutual love". It is the name of the god of requited love, who is the son of Aphrodite and Ares.
Personality: A lover of storytelling and a total romantic, Anteros lives up to his name. He swoons when he hears about heroes and finding one's "true love" and hopes to one day gain such a relationship as well. However, because of this, he is also rather blind to the reality and hardships of the world. Instead, he has a habit of stubbornly turning his head the other way and pretending the problem doesn't exist. Of course, he is still young and he may eventually gain a more realistic view of his happily-ever-after.
In the meantime, his overactive imagination is fantastic at giving him wondrous stories for his litter mates, and as he grows older, he will end up keeping said creativity. He loves making up his own stories and reciting them in the most animated way he can come up with - especially if it means actually acting out some of the parts in his narration.
Future Rank: Pombuka (child-sitter) or Pomithi (story-teller)
Additional Notes: Just three things~
Firstly, when he gets older, I'd love to plot a "true love" mate for him. Whether they actually DO end up with him, I can go either way. I think it would be cute (and kind of sad) if he really did end up with his fairy tale life, but having his ideals shattered and THEN finding a mate is fine by me too. In the end, though, I eventually do want him to end up with a loving mate.
Secondly, he doesn't actually realize it, but he tends to unconsciously put himself in the damsel-in-distress position when he fantasizes about his future. xD; I'm not saying he's gay... (although, considering his views on love, he probably wouldn't care either way, just so long as he gets it) Just that, at the end of the day, he's probably going to end up with someone who "brings home the bacon", so to speak. Of course, I may end up changing my mind about this later, but for now, that's the way I'm leaning with him.
Thirdly, physically speaking, I'd like to RP him as being slightly smaller than his litter mates, just to sort of emphasize that he's not really much of a hunter or fighter.

Name: Zeus
Name's meaning: king of the gods XD!
Personality: A tiny determined cub who will always refuse to be looked down upon, he will work double hard and ultimately strive to be stronger and faster than others even if his body size prevents him from reaching the strength of others. He will look up to his father and siblings, literally and metaphorically. He is generally sweet and will never let anything get him down, should he stumble he will simply drag himself back to his paws and carry on. He is the eternal optimist always thinking there is half a fish left not half a fish gone.
Future Rank: Nyangumi
Additional Notes: I'd like him to almost be the opposite body wise to his brothers and uncles, a tiny little slip of a thing almost girlie in his body size and shape. His voice will be forever 'girlie'. Though he will not be gay he may be thought of as more feminine than most, even his sisters, though he will always be trying to prove that he is bigger and better he may fail often only to brush himself off and try again.

Name: Dionysus
Name's meaning: God of wine, parties and festivals, madness, drunkenness and pleasure. He was depicted in art as either an older bearded god or a pretty effeminate, long-haired youth. His attributes include the thyrsus (a pinecone-tipped staff), drinking cup, grape vine and a crown of ivy. A later addition to the Olympians, in some accounts he replaced Hestia who gave up her seat as one of the Twelve Olympians to tend to the sacred flame on Mount Olympus for Dionysus.
Personality: Growing up, Dionysus is very much the effeminate youth (not girly, he is very much male, but holds a graceful, delicate air about him). Not that he thinks highly of himself, but in that he takes joy in the basic things in life; laughter, love and friendship. He is content to drift along each day, travailing at nature's pace rather than going out and seeking adventure and trouble, living up to the more innocent aspect of his name sake. He is also a fairly delicate boy, slender and fine-boned as he grows, his temper matches his looks. He is a peaceful creature, adverse to arguments and negative emotions, though peaceful does not always mean quiet and he can be heard right across the sands when he and his friends are up to youthful hijinks.
Of course he adores the sea, though does inherit his mother's caution and gives great respect to the power of the ocean and the deep waters. He loves nothing more than to play in the shallows and will happily spend most of his day paw-deep in the lapping wavelets.
As he matures into a full adult, Dionysus will loose some of his cubhood naivety, but will still remain a warm hearted and innocent lion, one that could easily be taken advantage off. He would need his family throughout his youth to teach him and guide him, preparing him for when he will perform his rite of passage (which he will take as the last or one of the last of his litter). He will also find himself spending more and more time with the youth of the pride, and after his Ba'Ushufo, he will lean towards becoming a pombuka or pomithi.
Future Rank: pombuka or pomithi - depending on rp
Additional Notes: Nothing major.. Of course I'd like an eventual lifemate, he is too soft hearted to be a ladies man, but he could easily get his heart broken a few times. He is a very demure lion, and won't father cubs until later in his life (subject to his partner of course).
I'd like him to find rp with lions of both the pombuka or pomithi ranks to help him make up his mind which he fits best.
