Nicholas was a simple townsfolk who used to surprise children and poor people by giving gifts during yuletide. He was officially canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church. He is not evil.

Santa Claus is not evil. He's a saint. But I do believe that he isn't real. When children got a gift from " santa claus " under the christmas tree... They didn't know na galing pla yun sa mga parents nila.

Some people think that Santa Claus is bad kase nga sa effects ng kanyang existense.. like instead of celebrating Christ's birth, eh ang isip ng iba e naFocus sa gift ni Santa.. let's say that children think that way.. and what then? may posibilities na hanggang pagtanda ng mga batang un eh un parin ang napractice nila. They'll forget what Christmas is for.. And para sa akin, mabuti si St. Nicholas pero dapat lang na i-brief ng maayos ang mga tao esp. ang mga bata sa true meaning of Christmas.. biggrin
