Concept
This pride is loosely based on, yes, you named it, ninjas... or basically mercenaries. The pride is generally a pride for hire, where all members can be hired out to do anything other prides or rogues want them to do. This includes, and is not limited to, killing, spying, stealing, rescue, searching, etc., pretty much an innumerable amount of varying jobs. Remember, however, that they can only be hired; they cannot be recruited into other prides. The general payment is food. The amount of food indicates how important the job is.
History
(Ancient/Past) Backstory
A long time ago, many seasons past when Gin was much younger, in her days as a cub, she belonged to a pride that kept itself unknown and secret. She had two other sisters who looked up to her and they did everything with her--for they were triplets, and quite special at that. Why? Because their mother was the pride's most trusted adviser, and the king's secret lover. Love between the king and normal--even if they had high status--was forbidden, and the king never took a mate.
As Gin and her sisters became older, enjoying life even as they trained to become excellent guards, spies, killers, hunters--whatever the job called for--they happened to overhear a rather strange conversation on their way home from a mission. Curious, Gin and her sisters hid themselves appropriately to listen. The conversation revealed a heavy plot between a lioness and--Mkodi forbid--a lion who had been vying for the king's throne for a long time.
Alarmed, Gin and her sisters returned to their home and informed their mother of what they had heard. Concerned, but not without suspicions, their mother told them she would inform the king and sent them off to bed. They protested, saying they should go to see the king now and let him know right away so preparations could be made. Their mother refused, saying it was too soon to make a move.
Time continued and Gin and her sisters grew to adolescents. The triplets had worried for some time since that incident that their mother probably had not been able to tell the king--her secret lover--what was going on. They soon realized their mistake when the king called them to a private meeting. The king demanded an explanation from them, confusing Gin and her sisters as they asked what was wrong. The king asked them if they truly intended to kill him, and they grew alarmed.
"What!? My king, who I love and serve with utmost respect, why would I wish to kill you!? You rule with firm and fair paw, and our pride is in harmony!" Gin protested, backed up by her sisters. The king's expression turned dark. "You lie, triplets of my most trusted adviser. To be told by your own mother how you have plotted against me--I ban you from the pride! If you had spoken truth, you would have only dealt with the punishment of demotion."
Shocked, the triplets turned to their mother, who, although she held an expression of grew sorrow, was secretly smirking. Their own mother had betrayed them! They continued to protest and fight against the other guards as they were ushered away and locked in a den that served to hold the pride's captives. They stayed there for a few days, wondering how they would reestablish their honor, and when they were let out, they were told to flee.
As it turned out, their mother had plotted with the lion who vied to be king--an older lion who their mother had truly loved--and had killed the king. Their guards, whom they had been friends with since cubhood, were trying to save their lives. Their mother was now queen, mated to the new king, and an unknown lioness had filled the high adviser's spot. Vowing to return to usurp the new king, the triplets fled into the night, hearts turned to stone, harboring deep hatred for their mother.
They vowed to build an army, their own pride with Gin as the head, for it was she who had discovered the plot in the first place, and return to rescue the pride.
(Modern/Development) Backstory
The triplets had traveled far and wide, slowly gathering members to build their army, though they left their history secret. They wanted to train their new followers in the ways of their old pride, and train them to be better, in order to outwit their old pride's members. It was on such a dark night Gin had left her little group to think about the events that had happened in her life, when she ran into twin snake brothers.
They told her they had overheard her and her sisters discussing--quietly away from their other members, a small group, indeed--about what they intended to do for their old pride. Appreciating their help, Gin bonded with the twins instantly, and returned to her small pride's side. A month later Gin would found herself running into a hybrid, a rather large leoponess, who had icey eyes and a frozen heart.
Cyngetorix, the younger twin of the snake twins Gin had bonded, bonded straight-away with this newcomer, who called herself Saraid. Gin looked at Cyngetorix, then looked at the leoponess, and asked Saraid if she would join her "merry" little band. The leoponess unexpectedly refused, ignoring Gin and Cyngetorix, thanking them politely--if a big frigidly--before leaving to continue her lone travels.
Gin stared--somewhat surprised at the leoponess's refusal--at the slowly disappearing form of Saraid when Cyngetorix urged the silver lioness to chase after the leoponess, snapping her out of her semi-shocked form. The snake truly believed in Saraid's potential, although Gin suspected it was because Torix felt something. Agreeing with Torix, Gin took off after Saraid and continued trying to convince the dark blue hybrid to join. Ankoku and Torix wrapped themselves loosely about Gin's neck as she pursued the blue leoponess.
Saraid proved to be a worthy "prey" when the blue leoponess made it difficult for Gin and the twin snakes to follow her trail, but they still managed to find her every night she eluded them. Finally, after Gin and Cyngetorix continued to bother her for days on end, Saraid agreed, and Cyngetorix, the more cheerful of the twin snakes, joyfully bonded with his new mistress. Gin named Saraid her second, for Saraid had proved herself reliable in the days of chasing her.
Gin returned with Saraid at her side, informing her sisters and her other stray members of the new recruit. They celebrated, and continued on through the next few nights. It was then, as they climbed a mountain, they came upon a strange mountain cave, finding unusual objects they had never seen before. Pointed rocks of strange shapes, and strange, toughened brown-colored vines, smoothed, strong sticks--Gin concluded they'd found an abandoned two-legger cave.
Finding the cave suitable, Gin and her pride had found a home at last. Hidden by the mountain's foliage and vast amount of trees, the cave was not easily found--Gin considered it Mkodi's blessing she and her pride had stumbled, half-starved, into the cave. Now that her pride, which she had deemed Skadu'kliek, had found a home, it was time to begin the true training--and start the missions. They needed food, and they would take food as payment in order to do any request from other prides.
Thus began Gin's plan to build an army to rescue her old pride... but first, she would have to deal with in-fighting, and a secret plot against her and her sisters... (metaplot!)
Metaplot(?)
- Gin and her sisters have just started the pride, and Gin is young, so she is struggling to lead the pride with honor despite the fact they're an infamous pride of "ninjas" -- or mercenaries, as it were -- and with a young ruler and a new pride, few members trust Gin's leadership
- We will probably begin the metaplot by recruiting members who will try to betray Gin and her trustworthy followers by trying to plant bad rumors about her around the pride--the leader will probably be a male who wants to control the pride
- Another metaplot for later on will be a clash with the NPC pride described in the history background above, but that will come later!

.~*{ Pridal Information }*~.
Preferred Fur Colors
- Well, the general preferred option are colors that blend in, such as blacks, purples, dark blues, etc.; basically dark-ish night colored hues.
- Earth-tone fur colors are also welcome as they blend in with the earthy far easier than a bright pink creature would.
- The pride honestly welcomes any and all who want to join, so long as they're able to help the pride's survival in some way (bright colors are discouraged seeing as they stand out at night...)
- But if there are those who are brilliantly colored who can help the pride in some way, they're more than welcome. The pride welcomes all, after all.
Location
- The pride is located deep within the mountains in various caverns with ideal foliage and trees as coverage for protection. The lands are situated with high cliffs overlooking a single lake, which is a special location for the pride. As the pride is skillful in hiding their whereabouts, though a creature may stumble across a cavern it may truly be empty... or lurking with pride members.
- The general location where these pride members might be found is around the lower area of the Masai Steppe, somewhere in the Ruheba Mountains. The pride members are probably more easily found away from their settlement, due to the rules of secrecy... but really, it's easier to communicate and get their attention through their familiars.
Beliefs/Traditions
- The pride has a varying amount of god/desses they believe in, but their primary god(s) is/are the God of Stealth (who hasn't yet been made... XD) and God of Shadows. It is these gods who are said to have given the clan the ability to traverse any terrain without any creature knowing they were ever there.
- Other gods the pride members can choose to believe in, but aren't required to believe in, are Deception, Obscurity, Camouflage, Trickery, Silence, and (possibly) Nature. (This is because these gods overlap with the God of Stealth...) Considering the various abilities there's many gods the pride can believe in but overall their main god is the God of Stealth (once PGM gets him) and of course Mkodi.

- There is generally a belief for gender equality (and indeed, breed equality, for not just lions, but leopards, cheetahs, etc.) in this pride, and females are probably the most powerful due to their ability to bare children, however, there is no such thing as a male or female who is better than the other, since it takes two to make three. (LOL.)
- Offspring are the future and are revered and precious to the pride. They are seriously just that important. The pride will pull out all stops to protect their young, and will do anything to prevent any harm to come to them. This belief is solid and cannot be broken... if there is any pride member seen hurting or abusing a cub, they will be killed. (Other options available, see Clan & Hierarchy). Often times the many of the adults will remember their cub-hood fondly, for those are the days of innocence.
Mating/Breeding
- While lifemating isn't encouraged, it can be done. For the most part though there is a discreet discouragement among the pride not to do so, for the pride has high life risks, and because death is such a high possibility, the Clan Head Leader doesn't want any member feeling the emotional pain of losing a mate; this causes members' performance to drop severely, resulting in another death.
- Flings are a total approval, mostly because the pride reveres cubs because the young are a necessity to the pride's survival... therefore...
- ...Rogue breedings aren't discouraged, but for the most part should be discreet and members of the pride should avoid revealing any information about the pride. If the members spill any secrets, it's required for them to take the rogue cubs into the pride (well, some, ROFL)... so please be sure to discuss this with your RP partner for this.
Non-Lions
- As long as these non-lions are capable, they are welcome into the pride and adopted as equal members.
- This includes hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, and even hybrids, although hybrids may be the cause of scorn because they cannot help bare offspring. Still, the pride looks upon hybrids with awe and disgust, because hybrids usually turn out to be the best type of pride members.
Familiars
- Familiars are a necessity of this pride, due to the varying clans that identify themselves through the familiars themselves. (More Information in Clan & Hierarchy Info).
Other/Extra Info
- Because each member can be hired to do anything, with food being the main source of payment, the clan doesn't worry about food. However, every single member can hunt for food if necessary.
- Each member has the basic skills of fighting and/or defense, because offspring are so precious, every member must know how to fight or defend (this cannot be hammered into the skulls of the pride members enough!).
- Each member has the capabilities to be in any clan they wish to join. They simply will specialize in certain skills depending on the clan they join. Every pride member has the capabilities to do any and/or all clan skills, but because it's easier to learn only a single set of skills, this is discouraged (because it can also create a dangerous enemy if the pride member decides to turn traitor, so to speak).
Rituals
Joining
- All members who reach the status of a ninja will be required to go through a ritual. Courage and bravery is what impresses this pride the most, so the ritual...
- ...involves every pride member having an ear piercing that has a single snake fang, indicating their loyalty first to the snake clan and then they can wear other items indicating their loyalty to their other clan. This is the default item for all pride members.
- Those who are joining have to prove their loyalty before receiving the earring by doing a "leap of faith" -- literally. What happens is that the soon-to-be pride member will be taken to a sizeable cliff overlooking a freezing lake... and the member has to jump. Into the water. If the member is able to do so, they will be given the ear piercing--and the earring--and a hearty congrats for their courage.
Births
- It is generally believed that only the Sorg'tolvaj--the caretakers/babysitters--are allowed near a female giving birth. However, the father of said cubs is allowed to be there to give support, but other males--siblings, in-law's, and the like--cannot approach the birthing den. |

.~*{ Clans & Hierarchy }*~.
Hierarchy
- The pride is made up of several varying clans, each based upon the familiars they own. There is a total of four clans, with one head clan that oversees all other clans. Each clan under the head clan has a single leader that will gather together for clan meetings, resulting in what is considered the High Council.
- When an adolescent becomes an adult, they must don the title of which clan they belong to: Nyoka, Mbweha, Nyuni, or Paka. (See Below)
- There can be smaller clan councils if needed. Advisors are discouraged as the clan seeks personal opinions.
- Clan leaders can ask members of their clans for their opinions if they wish; most high council meetings usually converge to discuss jobs, what's happening within the pride itself, which prides have hired the pride members out, etc.
- Clan leaders can also appoint one trusted member to become a high council member, which can in the long run help make better judgments.
Caretakers (Sorg'tolvaj)
- These members are the most important members, probably even more important than the Head Clan Leader, all because their job is taking care of the young. Why? Because the pride reveres their young just that much, almost as much as their god.
Clans
- As mentioned above, there are various clans within the pride that can be considered tiny prides themselves. Each have a leader that convene with the head clan leader.
Snake Clan
- This clan is the head clan that oversees all other clans. It's fitting since snakes are believed to be silent killers and are masters of stealth. They specialize in poison (of course), and because they specialize in poison, they're also the medics of the clans due to their knowledge of poisons, antidotes, and healing herbs. Each clan member has a snake familiar to identify which clan they're from. Snake Clan members can be considered royalty, but as with the pride's belief of equality, snake clan members simply oversee small groups doing a job.
Jackal Clan
- This clan is the retrieval clan; their job is to rescue injured members and... provide members with a means to escape the strict rules of the pride. They provide the "fake death" cover-up to allow members wishing to leave the pride to leave, for only through death can members leave the pride. Members who wish to leave the pride must swear to never reveal what they have learned and then make a deal with any Jackal Clan Member to create a "fake death." Each member has a jackal familiar to identify which clan they're from.
Avian Clan
- This clan specializes in aerial attacks and spying. They can be hired out to discover revenge plots, retrieve things from hard-to-reach places, and can also general help in the retrieval process. The Avian Clan also specializes in spotting enemies from afar and retrieves information of the world outside the pride so that the pride will always know what's going on in the world. Each clan member has an avian familiar to identify which clan they're from.
Serval Clan
- This clan specializes in undercover work, so they're better than the Avian members in spying because they can get themselves inside another pride, as long as whoever hired them has a connection that helps them to sneak in. They also specialize in secrets and gossip; if a member spreads a rumor--true or not--it can help a job move along; basically, they help set someone up. Each clan member has a serval familiar to identify which clan they're from. This clan is also strictly a FEMALE ONLY clan.
.~*{ Clan/Pride Titles }*~.
Nyoka Jumbe'kichwa: Head of the Snake Clan as well as the Skadu'kliek Pride. This appointed leader is in charge of dealing with all internal and external affairs of the pride, they play peace keeper between pridal and clan affairs as well the final say in all external affairs and contracts. This is the equivalent to the king or queen of a pride.
Mbweha/Nyuni/Paka Kichwa: Head of Jackal, Avian, Serval clans. Appointed leader of the lesser clans, they are in charge of attending meetings, dealing with internal affairs of their clan, they also assign missions to groups within their clans.
Isibili: Second in command to the Kichwa's. They deal with running errands, organizing, and keeping up with anything needed by the Kichwa's.
Magas Tanácsülés: Attend pridal meetings and voicing opinion in matters, carries the weight of the clan and other council members.
Tanácsülés: Attend pridal meetings, typical meet with the Magas Tanácsülés to discuss their opinion in the matter.
Sorg'tolvaj: Babysitters and storytellers of the pride. They take care of the young, help train and prepare them to become part of missions later on in their life.
Kichwa: In charge of informing and organizing groups for missions assigned by the Isibili, they also help organize members to train the young. They are also the member teams report back to on info of their missions or if a mission has gone wrong.
Nyoka/Mbweha/Nyuni/Paka'Lid: All other members of the clans, members have various skills according to their clan. They carry out missions, contracts of assassinations, as well the hunters for the clans.

Name: Gin Kageka
Position: Nyoka Jumbe'kichwa
Personality: Gin is cunning, clever, compassionate when need be, levelheaded, and can come across as a rather cold hearted b***h in first meeting in which she is more than happy to let you know her opinion when need be. She doesn't allow her emotions to appear easily and prefers to come across rather tough to others than a sweetheart and more so a rather leader figure than a mother. Gin tends to see the hidden side in others, she knows what sort of the potential they even if they don't realize it on their own. Trust is earned not given.
History: Unknown, Gin and her two sister's tend to keep this secret to themselves all that is known is that it wasn't pleasant.
Familiar:Ankoku Harou
Personality: Anko doesn't say much let appear to pay any attention to anyone other than Gin however he knows a lot more than he lets on. He acts as Gin's shadow lurking where others least expect him to be and reports his findings to Gin.
Name: Saraid
Position: Nyoka Isibili
Personality/History: In the past, Saraid was a friendly, gentle leopon until she experienced a harsh, crush love... the Snake Clan head found her and convinced her to join the (developing) pride, offering one of her snake familiars as a sign of friendship--and a trust for absolute loyalty. She is famously known among the clans for her odd natural spotted necklace. She gives firm direction with a cold gaze, but only because she does not know "love" in truth. She isn't cruel, and tries to be fair; just whatever you do, don't make her mad.
Familiar: Cyngetorix
Personality/History: Sara's friendlier side who loves to joke around almost all the time. Of course, this doesn't mean Torix isn't good at what he does; he just prefers living on the light side of life. His twin brother is the Snake Clan Head's familiar. Torix is also the only one who can calm Saraid down when she gets into a rage, so it's recommended to meet up with him first or either meet with Saraid when he's there; less problems.

Why Did You Want to Join? OOC, the pride is interesting to me and I'd love to have a SoA or two in it. <3 IC, the pride fits what I wanted for Roku really well. (reasons for this below)
How Does the Clan You Pick Work for Your SoA? He would be able to go outside the lands while still having a home, and the idea of him having "missions", and even what those missions entail (spying and all that), goes really well with what he is a cosplay of.
Any Plots You Want to Try? Rokusasu has no recollection of his past. He woke up in the middle of nowhere, with his name being the only thing he remembers. Right now, I have him wandering aimlessly around, trying to find clues as to who he is. So, in regards with the pride, I want him in one where he can be free to continue his search but still have a place to call home. More than likely, he'll still end up staying, even if/when he finds what he's looking for, but we'll see. ( I honestly haven't figured out what said history is yet, so... yeah. xD; )
Anything Else? If I can, I would love to get a familiar that's based off of one of these three keyblades: Two Across, Oblivion or Oathkeeper. I'm not too picky, though. x3

Anything Else? Tiyatahmeys background : He was born in to a pride of assassins, the only problem was he did his job a little too well. He basically assassinated his whole pride to get to the top, unfortunately when he got there, there as no one to lead so he has been a lone rogue for a long time looking for hi place to be the true assassin. He expects to be assassinated at every turn being the leader and would accept no less than to be assassinated for his place to be taken. His last kill was his own father, the last member of his pride. He has seen the error of his ways so he wont assassinate everyone now, he needs to lead someone after all.

How Does the Clan You Pick Work for Your SoA? Ahote is a seer (I know I'm so short)
Anything Else? Ahote at the beginning may come across a little grumpy, uninterested, and somewhat a bit of a butt, but when he starts to come around he is rather a cheerful, somewhat flirty, little gentleman. He is very fond of being very loyal to his friends, especially Misaye, Chise and Gin whom he had travelled for various lengths of time with. Ahote is not a knight, he will never be a knight, he prefers to be around others who are loud and bold with their opinions and beliefs instead of someone who would always lean on him to protect them from anything. He is allergic to pollen, will never admit that he is a softie, hates to leaving a bad impression on other.. Ahote is dense when it comes to actually feelings, being blunt with him always works best.

Anything Else? Misaye tends to be the handful out of the three sisters, she is rather opinionated and highly creative when it comes to works of arts and lies. She has rather a skillful talent in being able to play any role in any story which makes her a rather ideal Paka clan member. Misaye does have the bad habit of getting on Gin's bad side in which put her in the position of Isibili instead of leader of the Seval Clan.

Concept Behind This Character? Random burst of many ideas? Made him a cheetah for his speed, he and his familiar would be a close-tied team, the cheetah's speed essential for the job as he keeps up with his winged brother.
