Night had plunged across the land quickly. It seemed like the days were shorter than ever and the nights were stretching across most of the pride's awake time.
Koin had been awake for a long while already, however. He had watched the sun set in it's beautiful splash of gold, red, and purple. He found it wonderful - the day time that is. He had adapted to the night, however, ever since he came here.
He gave a small smile. He was rather fond of his master now - and of course his Master's children. He spent most of his time with his Master's family, but his 'mornings' (which were really later afternoon before the sun set) he spent alone.
Now, though, the sun was gone and it was time for him to return to his master.

Tamin was bored and there was no one to play with. Night was settling and the young cub knew that soon he would have to go to bed. He didn't want to. He wanted to stay up and play but his sisters were off doing stuff, as was his father so it was with a sigh that Tamin flopped down on the ground a short distance from the family den.
He rolled over onto his back and with a grumpy whine, although he would never admit to the whine, the cub said to the stars "There is no one to play with. I'm bored. I don't want to go to bed yet."
