Name means: To be Honored
Writes in medium slate blue
Personality: As far as being motherly goes, Alake is the "nobody messes with my cubs but me." kind. Once she's claimed you as "hers" in her mind, that's that. She will be fiercely loyal and protective of you until the day you part ways. Once you do part ways (and even before then) Alake will worry about you to no end as she tends to be a bit of a worrywart. She's not afraid to scold you either if you've done something to make her worry. Her worry wart tendencies don't seem to extend to herself though. Either from a desire to spare others from more dangerous tasks or from her unending amount of nosy curiosity, Alake seems to come off as a little adventurous and reckless. But the gods forbid you follow her example. When she's not mothering you to death, Alake is stubborn, cheerful, and friendly, with sprinklings of tormenting teasing humor.
Background: Alake grew up by the sea like her parents their parents before them, on and on for generations. For as long as she could remember the loyalist had been by her side, which is how her mother had told her it had always been with their family and the loyalist's family. Her childhood was a happy one, days spent running around the beach and having adventures with her dearest friend, as her parents had before her as well.
As far as Alake knew, she would find a mate and have cubs who would grow up the same as she, just as her parents had done. From time to time she wondered what else was out there in the wide world but, this was of life was what she accepted as what would be true for her. Little did she know this way of life that she had accepted as what would always be true for her was soon going to change.

Name means: Ash
Writes in gray
Personality: Esche tends to be more the silent type. He's a bit of a loner too. After the incident with the fire when he was a cub he decided it was less painful to be alone then to have those that are important to you ripped away. Therefore he'll keep those he meets at an arms length, trying his best not to become too attached.
Background: Esche was born in the rogue lands along with 5 other cubs. He had been a happy and playful boy, loving to spend all hours of the day playing with him brothers and sisters. Mainly raised by his father, Esche's mother was a bit of a wanderer who would disappear for weeks at a time.
One day Esche was playing at hunting some antelope. He soon found himself lost around nightfall and the clouds had rolled in, a powerful lightning storm brewing in them. He ran towards home in fear only to find a grassfire had started. Cowering in fear he watched as the fire spread wildly, consuming what had been his home. His mother had gone wandering several days before with a sibling or two, but his father and the rest should have been around. Esche tried as he might but found no trace of them. In his cub mind, he could only assume they had been burnt up in the fire. It's a belief he still holds until this day.
After the fire only ashes remained of what was familiar to Esche. He tried waiting for his mother to return but soon was too hungry and too caught in despair to stick around. He began wandering, catching what food he could, but every so often he'd return to his former home in hopes any surviving family was looking for him too.
To this day Esche still visits, though he reasons to himself it's now out of mourning rather then hope like it once was. Mainly he focuses on keeping himself feed and every so often meeting up with a fellow rogue lion or lioness to stave off the lonely feeling a bit.

Personality: Isuke'Boon is a no nonsense lion. She says what she feels and thinks plainly and doesn't bother to try to sweeten her words. As such she can come off as insensitive and well, she is. She's not swayed by feelings of pity or begging. If she does something it will be because she wants to or she sees something to be gained out of it. She is also very fierce and will not hesitate to fight if needed.
Background: Isuke'Boon was born into a family of warriors. As tradition followed once she was old enough to go out on her own, she was expected to go off, make her fortune and find a family. It is expected she will never return home, but will make one of her own. She was not sad to leave her family because as far as she knew, that was the way it should be.

Kouki Recieved: March 1st, 2011 in sibling contest run by Eski Colorist: Eski Name means: Happiness and hope Writes in blackPersonality: Kouki is an artist that's had his artistic side repressed by being forced to do dirty deeds instead. He tends to have the air of a tortured artist at times because of this, but mostly he tries to be joyful and enjoy his newfound freedom. He's both very curious and likely to drift off into his own little dream world, so it's not uncommon for him to change tracks suddenly, or space out during a conversation. He usually changes tracks or comes out of his dream world with a burst of creative energy and usually needs to find an outlet for it soon after. If Kouki is left to his own devices he's usually found singing or making sculpture like things out of mud or wet sand and whatever other bits he finds laying around. He also has some skill as a story teller and loves to hear the stories of others as well as tell his own. Background: Both Kouki and his brother Phrixus were cubnapped shortly after they were born by a lion named Merari. Once he had captured the boys, he renamed Kioshi as "Phrixus" and Kouki as "Phrixos". He raised them "as his own", though his actions weren't exactly fatherly, and trained them in the art of cubnapping and had them do his dirty work for him. Phrixus took to this training like a fish to water, but Kouki hated it. Phrixus was not one to stand for seeing his brother withering and decided that it was finally time for the two of them to leave. They escaped one night and Kouki happily began going by his former name trying to forget the dark deeds associated with the other. The two now wander together, leaning heavily on each other as they've always done, both pursuing the things they love to do.
