Heat-Ray:Standard
They are able to generate an intense heat in a chamber of practically absolute non-conductivity. The Heat-ray they project is first fired into a polished Parabolic mirror of unknown origin. Maybe from the iron rust that makes up the majority of Mars's surface. They then focuse the bouncing beam of light into a spinning disk and begin to speed it up,thus creating the humming sound one hears. A small hole opens up in the mirrored disk and in quick flashes,faster then the eye can see or computer can detect,they fire the Heat-ray in a matter of seconds.
Heat-Ray:Light
It is essentially the same thing,but on a smaller scale and using an actual laser instead of the normal beam of light they normally do. This laser becomes magnified as it is spun around the disk to super speeds and then flys out of the chamber,through the funnel and out the Tripod or whatever it might be.
Heat-Ray: Heavy
By using reflective mirrors all around the inside of the chamber,they take an extremely large laser and fire it at a certian point in one of the walls and let it bounce all about. A large spinning disk rising up out of the floor and once the laser hits it it begins to spin faster and faster until nothing in the room is visible but that large laser,which by doing so also ionizes the air and makes it even hotter. Once a certain temperature is reached a medium sized mirror opened up in the ceiling and once the laser hits it it is suddenly bouced through a lense in the back of the funnel,which then magnifies that as well and as it flys to the opening in the funnel,it once again flys through the last lesnse,making it open up wide. Very wide.
Canister-Cannon
After ionizing specific gases in a chamber in the middle of the cannon,the Martians then begin to slowly heat the temperature above 20,000*F and then,from the back of the cannon they fire an exploding,heat resistant shell through the gases. It suddenly becomes engulfed in Plasma and once it leaves the cannon it is a rather nice redish-purple.
Bombardment
Samething like the Canister-Cannon,except they use a series of photons pulled into a ball shape and drop it from low or high atmosphere. Once they hit the ground they instantly set all flamable ojects ablaze and slowly begin to burn into the ground for ten minutes. They also explode,giving them the name bombs.
Partical Projectial Cannon (PPC)
Used mainly on the guard machine,the Goliath,it is one of the few machines that have four legs instead of an odd number of them. It is a unique energy weapon,it fires a concentrated stream of ions at a target, causing damage both thermally and through impact, causing high amounts of damage to any form of armor,strangely,dispite being an energy weapon it produces recoil. To combat this,they have created the four legged walking platform Goliath. It is about x2 the size of a Gundam and looks rather menacing.
