![User Image](https://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa418/pinchmonster/Certed/lirazjuvecert-f.png) Liraz had been having disturbing visions as of late, visions that assaulted her with bones and darkness. Flashes of bone-white, flashes of blackness. Liraz had no idea what they meant, but after these odd visions she did what she usually did -- she went hunting for answers.
"I don't know what it means, Makini," she confided to her familiar as the duo trudged along a dusty path. "It was kind of scary, but it was kind of.. not scary, either. I could almost sense the promise of something, but I don't know what it was." With a frustrated sigh she padded to her favorite spot, a bowl-shaped indentation in the ground that had grown in size as Liraz did. The sun was always shining on her favorite spot, and perhaps that's why it was her favorite spot.
"Maybe it means nothing," Makini trilled, idly grooming his bonded's mane. Makini did not fly when he was with Liraz. It made him feel as if he were flaunting his health, and he would never do anything to hurt her, "or maybe you will see someone and it will make perfect sense," he added, referring to the visions she'd had of Ndale and his mismatched eyes. Makini hated seeing Liraz fret. She was always sick, always coughing and sore, and he made it his duty to fill her life with nothing but smiles and jokes, or grand stories that he made up.

Liraz's thoughts were jerked away as she heard the yelp that came from nearby. Makini had heard it too, and the bird swiftly waddled towards the direction of the noise. Liraz came much slower, taking a few moments to rise up from her nest, her aching joints sore despite the heat of the sun. Makini was crowing with laughter at the sight laid out before them, and Liraz hissed a quiet, "Stop, Makini," in his direction. The bird promptly clacked his beak shut and cleared his throat, obviously feeling sheepish.
A beautiful little cub, a female that Liraz had never seen before, was sprawled out in the dust, and Liraz took a few more steps forward. "Are you alright, little one?" Her eyesight distorted -- a flash of bone, a flash of black -- and Liraz had to close her eyes to regain composure for a moments time before opening her eyes once more. Was this what her visions had been showing her? "Do you need help?"

It was rather obvious that the pretty little cub was fresh from the den, and Liraz beamed at the cub. "No, I am not from your den. I am Liraz, and I live here too. In a different den," she added, watching the cub rise to her feet. She didn't seem to be worse for wear, and that brought forward a relieved sigh from Liraz. "This is Makini. I'm... sorry he laughed at you." She sent a glare in the birds direction, one that demanded that he offer an apology of his own.
Not wanting to upset his bonded, Makini crowed a quick, "Sorry!" before scooting a bit closer to Liraz. He didn't want to make Liraz angry, though he was starting to wonder if such a thing could even happen.
"Who is your mother, little one?" Liraz was curious about the new face. She hadn't seen anyone around the pride with such colors, and it made her wonder if the pride had gained new members.

Liraz chuckled softly, wanting nothing more than to reach forward and fluff the little cub's head fur. She dared not, though, despite how adorable this stranger was. Even though she was not much older than a cub herself, she found such unhindered joy being around and interacting with cubs. "Well, then, what does your Momma call you? And what does your Momma look like? Maybe then we can see if we can find her. I'm sure she's not far from where we are, little one."
Makini grumbled softly to himself. He didn't understand why Liraz took such delight in messing about with cubs. Annoying, they were, the whole lot of them, and he didn't much like their grabby paws and sharp teeth and claws. This cub didn't seem so bad, though, and so despite wanting to ditch the cub, he knew Liraz would never do such a thing. She would be rather upset with him if he suggested it, and so he kept his mouth shut and merely waited, all the while attentive eyes rarely straying from his bonded.
