I just installed both Sims 3 and Ambitions, and I get this when I open the launcher:

Well like it says, you'll need to update your base game in order to play the new expansion pack.

I'm not good with helping with these sorts of things. I usually go the sims 3 site and ask for help.

You may notice that your launcher is telling you that your game version is 0.0.0.0 which has been identified as a known bug. Give me a few seconds and I'll find a link for how to fix it....

Oh yeah. I haven't even noticed that. That happened to me once, I wasn't even connected to the internet too when I started it up. So I freaked for awhile. xD But got it fixed in no time. Was easy, but took a little searching around the forums, for it was my first time running into that problem and wasn't sure what I was looking for.
