[ We'll assume this takes place after the recent litter~ ]
After several weeks of strict mom duty, No was more than a little thankful to finally see the light of day. The time spent in the den was a treasured one, but No was not a complacent lioness. Staying in one spot for any particular length of time made her edgy, cubs or not. There was always work to do in the pride. It didn't stop just because she'd brought new lives into the world.
Not that the pride would have noticed much of her absence, mind you. Between relaying messages through her daughters and nieces, No had made certain that there was to be no shenanigans while she was busy elsewhere. As far as No was concerned, the day she took the day off was the day she died. And that hadn't come yet, not by a longshot.
So with her new cubs in the care of their ever doting aunt, No set out to do some patrols and to catch up with the rest of her ever growing family. Catching sight of Azar in the distance, it looked like she'd be able to do both at the same time.

Color wasn't the only thing that Azar had inherited from her mother, but temperament and her workaholic tendencies was another thing that she inherited from her mother for sure. Since her mother was out taking care of the new cubs Azar was chipping in here and there where she could. she didn't enjoy the idea of not joining in and helping. So that meant helping the guards if she could or helping her father. She normally loved to help herself in every way possible as always.
She was wandering some before something caught her attention, it was the scent of some one she knew very well, and possible some one who could keep her company, or even duel with her, oh she wanted to duel so bad!
She trotted over to her mother with a large smile on her face. She paused as she looked at her mother before she wandered up to her with a smile on her face. "Hello mother," she said with a smile growing on her face as she nudged her mother in a friendly way. "Finally time to get out of the den?" She knew what it was like to finally have time to get out of the den and wander around, she was so happy when she got to wander away from her den after having her cubs.

No rumbled affectionately as her daughter passed. There was a sort of pride in measuring her two litters, especially now that her first were already grown. She'd come from a large family, and leaving it behind had sometimes felt as thought it was for good. Now look at her! Eight strong, grown children and another six on their way. She might not have been of the Motoujamii, but the black cat had set her roots well.
And of all her children, Azar tended to bring the fewest migraines. She'd had enough of Ea's moaning and groaning over her new litter to last a lifetime. "And very glad to be," No smiled. "The cubs are doing very well, but I don't think I could sit still for one more moment. At least, not when I have an entire pride of cubs to attend to."
No leaned forward, stretching. She could feel the bones in her limbs shifting, perhaps giving their own sighs of relief to finally be in use. "My poor bones, I'm not meant for bedrest. My ears haven't stopped working though," the black cat said with a quirk of her brow. "Your father tells me you are becoming quite the duelist these past few weeks."

Azar smiled as her mother talked of the new cubs, siblings were excited to Azar, she enjoyed the idea of being a older sibling. But not only that but her cubs could play with their... aunts and uncles. She chuckled and then flicked her tail around behind her "I hated when I had to be in one place too I love the little guys but I needed to get out and do things." She laughed, she had a handful herself ten cubs, that was a lot. It still was and it was hard to give them all the attention they wanted.
Azar watched her mother as she stretched and then was caught off guard as her mother made a comment. "Oh!" she laughed nodding and then spoke again. "Well, I really love dueling." She nodded again "It's something to do in my spare time, when I have nothing else to do its better to do that then to sit around."

No finished her stretch with a groan. It felt good to be back out in the air, even if it was dry. Just being outside brought the color back to her eyes. Even if they were now glittering with a kind of mischief. Granted, the times No wasn't up to something were few and far between, but when an idea struck her she could be downright impish.
"Ah! A fine dueler then. I can't think of a better way to stretch my legs! Not when I have so many bickering pridelings to track down." She took a few long steps back. The playing look was still there, but tempered by an overwhelming flush of pride. "If my daughter isn't too busy for the challenge, that is?"
"I'm something of a duelist myself," she laughed. "If the cubs left anything of me to fight, we shall see!"
[And, we can start rollinggg~]

Azar looked at her mother and smiled some. She noticed the look in her mother's eyes and she couldn't help but to grin even more, she knew that grin and she knew that she had seen that look before, not only from her but her siblings and even her children. It must have been a thing that ran in the family but it could help but to make Azar grin even more. She backed up some herself before laughing and nodding. "Of course not, never too busy for a duel with mom." Not only would she never pass up a duel but there was no way she would pass up one with family especially her mom she always looked up to her.
She grinned and started to circle around her mother some. The grin was just plastered across the face she couldn't be any happier. She flicked her tail as she planned out her first move. She launched forward reaching out a paw however falling short missing her mother's body, she tried to clean it up the best she could by pacing around her mother afterward watching carefully.

No grinned as her daughter made the first move. A good opening cut! But No wasn't exactly going to take it easy on her little duelist. The blow failed to land, and the black cat started to swiftly plan her own. Azar was pacing, and there was a kind of thrill to those few moments before the duel began. This was exactly what she needed after a few weeks in the den.
Excitement or not, No was a slow start when it came to fighting. She loved feints. It might have been instinctual- she wasn't a large lioness, and usually lacked the bulk of most of the firekin pride. She leveled the playing ground by being light on her feet. And those feet were aching for some movement.
Sensing an opening, No dodged forward, swinging her paw upwards and trying to trip up her daughter as she paced. But Azar was no slow cat; by the time No had executed her move, Azar was already pulling away. The blow did little more then kiss the air.
Rather then act in disgust, No half laughed. "Ah! We're well matched"

Azar had been still dueling recently, but she was still just as excited as her mother. The duel was one of the most exciting things ever to her. There wasn't anything that made her feel as important and needed as when she was dueling.
She took a moment watching her mother trying to figure out what she was going to do. She was a little bigger then her mother, not too much it was nice to spend time with her mother like this and it was nice to have a duel closer to her side. she was still pretty big for a lioness however she liked to duel with the males and so it was nice not to be really small.
Her serious face disappeared for a second a her grin reappeared and a laugh escaped her maw, she thought it was a pretty funny comment her mother made. But she wasn't going to let this stop the duel, it wasn't over, she paved closer to her mother and extended a paw again, this time getting close enough and slapping her mother's side with her paw feeling contact this time and making her a little happier because of that.

No gave an exaggerated yelp as her daughter's paw struck against her side. But it was less of pain and more of laughter. She'd been caught up! Good to see her daughter was no fool. Her face was all smiles as she rounded, gauging her next move.
She supposed she'd have to take it a bit seriously now, she owed her daughter that. Perhaps it was a certain marvel of parents to still see their children as the babies they were- even as No circled her daughter, she could almost see the wide-eyed fluffball she had once been. Curled with her other siblings in the den. After the war, they'd been some of the first joys to reenter No and Kidondo's life. And sometimes the joys out here were few and far between.
No lurched forward into a brief sprint, quickly sidestepping Azar and swinging one of her paws forward in an uppercut. It landed soundly [if not a bit blunted]. She didn't pull away just yet- curious to see her daughter's retaliation to her sudden close proximity.

Azar was enjoying this, and even though she had a serious look on her face she was still happy and still really excited. Being able to duel with her mother was something that she really enjoyed. She looked up a lot to her mother and father more then anyone else. Not only were they the king and queen of the pride but they were also a strong and powerful but also smart. When she was younger she always wanted to be able to duel with her parents and be matched evenly and she felt like she was no.
She turned toward her mother again and as she did she felt a blow at her face. She stumbled back a little caught off guard she didn't time her move correct and even though she was about to lift her paw again and try to strike her mother but her timing prevented this. She tried to strike again but as she tried her maw missed her mother's side where she was aiming.
She laughed and tried to move to the side even quicker hoping to avoid the next hit.

No danced to the side, her tail whipping behind her as Azar danced by. Her daughter was fast. Even though the blow had been a miss, she could almost feel the air sting as it swept past. The black cat leaned into the sand to better her footing, and jumped a few long strides away. As she rounded, it seemed her daughter had done the same. It brought a grin to the lioness's face.
Could there be any greater proof of their rebellion? She would have liked to have know what Kimeti thought of his grandchildren. Even he could not have believed that her 'rogue blood' had brought the pride weakness. And now six more, just starting on their paths. The pride would be stronger for it.
The black cat whipped around, claiming her spot. Her daughter was still mapping out her next move. Rather than rush towards her, No waited. As she did, she made sure to shake her tail around in jest. It was an obvious bait, but...! She decided to see what Azar would do with it.

Azar took a moment standing where she was and her front paws were dancing back and forth she had an idea of what she wanted to do but she didn't know exactly how, she stared at her mother thinking about it before then moving forward as quickly as she could. Her mothers tail was the prefect way that she could pull this off.
She couldn't help but to grin as she ran she thought of all of the times when she was younger and she played with her mother she remembered times where her mother did that she found it amusing. At times she missed being a cub but at the same time it felt nice being grown up.
As she got closer she aimed for her mother's tail biting down on it and pulling it as she moved back trying to get her mother to be jerked in a direction where she could land a hit. She let go quickly and lept forward and reached out a paw and slapped it on one her mother's back leg. The smirk disappeared for a moment. The seriousness of the duel coming back to her and she didn't want to seem like she enjoyed hurting her mother.

No laughed, twisting around as she was assaulted. Looks like using her tail as bait had not panned out! She appreciated the irony, and as she landed from the first hit, she was all grins. Upping the ante certainly didn't sour the black cat's move. In fact, she got a downright diabolical look and started to make her own preparations.
She'd never been a particularly tactical sort. She was fast. Off the field, she certainly enjoyed a bit of management. But when it came to herself, No was often impulsive in battle. She made up things as she went along, and she'd always found shelter in the randomness of it. Particularly when 'outside thinking', had not described the bulk of No's past adversaries.
The black cat moved swiftly to the left, coming up abruptly towards her daughter. She had a clear shot, but opted to move to the left- instead of hitting her daughter with her paw, she rammed her sharply with her shoulder. It was hard enough to take even No over with the force of it- and should Azar move quick enough, she might be able to trip the lioness up!

Azar was glad to have a hit on her mother, it felt good to feel like she got something accomplished however her mother's returning strike caught her a little off guard, she knew she should have moved back. She let out a chuckle of shorts and jumped back after her mother hit her and laughed some grinning as she did moving out of the way she moved herself off to the side making sure that she was out of the way.
She flicked her tail around before then grinning as she circled around her mother once again the duel was almost over and Azar was still pretty happy her mother was interesting to duel with.
