 Whomping Willows are a very valuable, very violent species of magical plant. Whomping Willows attack anyone and anything that comes within range of its branches. The limbs of the plant function as arms and any damage to them must be treated in much the same way. There is a Whomping Willow within the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was planted around the year 1971, the same year that Remus Lupin began attending Hogwarts. It was placed to disguise the opening of a secret passage leading from the Hogwarts grounds to the Shrieking Shack in the village of Hogsmeade. This allowed Lupin to travel unnoticed to and from the Shrieking Shack, where he was able to undergo his transformation as a werewolf in privacy. There are two known ways to immobilize the particular Whomping Willow placed at Hogwarts: pressing a particular knot at the base of the tree or using the "Immobulus" spell.

 P A N T A L A I M O N "HOLY SH-" Pan yelled as he was almost hit by one of the moving branches of the Whopping Willow. How the ruddy hell am I supposed to pass through that? He sighed as he began to crawl carefully to the tree, patting the few roots he could reach with his short paws. At last, he patted a sort of knot at the base of the tree and revealed an entrance, the wind blowing out of it. Pantalaimon frowned and entered, unwillingly slipping into the Shrieking Shack.

Tamara "Goldilocks" Radcliffe After Pan, the talking ferret that was Lucy's pet and best friend, came running from the passage under the Whomping Willow, a small corgi followed suit. It was scampering fast, as if it was being chased. Quickly dodging a swinging branch of tree, the corgi ran out of its range and started to transform into a human. A human girl with blond hair and a bruised, beaten body. She continued to run, stumbling as if she was severely wounded.

 Marcinus TraversMarcinus Travers came bounding out from the passage looking wild and crazed. A branch of the Whomping Willow came flying at him and he responded, not by dodging, but by casting a spell at it. A burst of white light shot out at the branch and struck it, followed by an explosion. The branch flew off, spurting what looked like sap blood. He followed after the girl, hollering at her.

Tamara "Goldilocks" Radcliffe Tamara shrieked when Travers blew a huge branch off the tree, and because she was not paying attention to the ground she was looking at, she stumbled over a rock and fell to the ground, landing on her side. She cried out in pain, but thanks to the adrenaline coursing through her veins, she was able to push up in time to defend herself against Travers.

Marcinus TraversTravers saw the girl trip and laughed, giving him time to catch up to her. As he approached her, he threw a powerful expelliarmus spell at her, hoping she dropped her wand or got knocked down or something. He was really hoping it killed her.

Tamara "Goldilocks" RadcliffeTamara was prepared to defend herself, but not for the force of the attack. The expelliarmus hit her shield and lifted her off the ground, tossing her several feet from where she stood. She landed on the ground and rolled to her feet. In response, she threw a stupify spell at him.

Marcinus TraversMarcinus stepped into her spell and reflected her spell off in a random direction. He relished the exhilaration of the duel and that aided his insanity. Almost frothing at the mouth, he threw a powerful bombarda spell at her, smiling like a maniac.

Tamara "Goldilocks" RadcliffeTamara recognized the spell he was using, the bombarda spell and threw the same spell back at him. In mid air, their spells collided with a large explosion. She continued moving backwards towards the school, slowly.

Marcinus TraversThe crazed dark wizard cursed when the girl countered another one of his spells and just wished she would drop dead already. "Would you just die already!" he shouted and used the ventus charm to summon a large gust of air, intending to knock her to the ground.

Tamara "Goldilocks" RadcliffeTamara braced herself against the huge gust of wind, but it still managed to knock her off her feet, tossing her to the ground rather harshly. She landed hard on her a** and rolled, being careful not to smack her already injured head. From the ground, she cast levicorpus.

Marcinus TraversTravers felt himself lifted off the ground by the girl's spell, caught off guard by the use of such an odd spell. His anger seething, he fought to maintain his stomach while dueling her. At the first opportunity, he threw a cruciatus curse at her.

Tamara "Goldilocks" RadcliffeThe curse hit her square in the midsection and tossed her to the ground rather painfully. She writhed in pain for only several seconds however because Travers was distracted by being held off the ground. Her distraction and being tortured, however, broke her concentration on the levicorpus spell. He was dropped on his head. She stood weakly, the endorphins starting to run out and cast the incendio charm, summoning a big ball of flames, which she directed at him.

Marcinus TraversMarcinus was surprised when the girl conjured a powerful fireball and he actually found himself struggling to contain her fire. As he fought her fire with he own, he could feel her strength beginning to falter. He smiled widely and conjured his fire into the form of a snake, swallowing her fireball whole and then began to charge it straight at her.

Tamara "Goldilocks" RadcliffeTamara felt her strength flailing and suddenly, her fireball was eaten by a fire snake that came racing towards her next. She screamed and fell backwards, tripping over a rock. She squeezed her eyes shut, thankful at least the she was dying out of her father's eyes.
