I know several cancer survivors and know of a few who have died of cancer. On of those is my grandmother, who passed away in November 2007 of lung cancer and a rare blood disease called TTP.
I think it's great that there is a guild here on Gaia that is trying to spread cancer awareness and helping to educate people about cancer. I'm glad to be a member!
