Ajani made his way to the river that was in the pride. He had been practicing his dancing and he was slowly getting better. After he practiced he often watched the other entertainers dance. Watching them always made his heart beat faster. Some day, maybe, he would be as good as them.

He started to clean himself as he listened to the river going down stream. It was relaxing listening to it. Much less stressful than making sure he danced to the correct beat. As he was cleaning he heard a small splash in the water. He looked up and saw some fishing jumping out of the water to catch some bugs. His stomach growled loudly as if to tell him it was time for a snack.

He grinned at the thought of some nice, fresh fish. All the dancing made him hungry and it wouldn't hurt to have just a small snack. Carefully he went on top of a rock that was close to the river. He started bat at them with his paw. His focus was fully on catching the fish. When one was close enough he went snatched it up with his paw. As he did so the rock below him started to shift and Ajani found himself heading head first into the water. He hoped no one was around to see him.

Tabia had just finished practicing and had moved on light paws to the river, deciding a nice quick dip would do wonders for her. Not just to wash off the dirt, but to cool down as well. Even though the clearing set aside for the Entertainers to dace was mostly in the shade with its own small spring, it was still entirely to HOT.

Truth be told, Tabia hated being hot, it made her pant and panting was so not attractive. She sighed as she saw the river, but paused as she heard a splash. Peering around rock, her gold eyes widened at the sight of a young male going tail over toes right into the water.

He walked out of the River, every bit of fur on his body soaking wet. Why was he so clumsy? Why couldn't he be more graceful like the other entertainers? He shook his body to dry off. It wasn't until he stopped shaking that he saw the golden eyes looking at him. He recognized her as a fellow entertainer, which made everything so much more embarrassing. "I am sorry. I fell in the river. I hope I didn't disturb you." Ajani said this all rather quickly as he bowed his head to her. He hoped that she didn't recognize him as a fellow entertainer.

"I should really catch my fish I was after." He muttered as he walked back to his spot on the river. He could still see her a little bit from the other side of the rock. "I promise not to make any more loud noises." He hoped the the cheetahess wouldn't be too mad at him, especially because she was so beautiful.

Tabia laughed very softly, a amused smile on her muzzle as she watched the young male walk back to 'his' side of the boulder. She thought she recognized him, yes..he was the young entertainer she'd seen a few days ago, and one of the only males she knew in their business..perhaps the only one.

" You should try catching fish with your paws, and not use yourself as bait. It works much better that way." Her voice was gentle, the tone threaded with her amusement, but she managed to keep her expression under control, though her golden eyes sparkled with mirth.

Ajani grinned stupidly. He guessed that she wasn't mad at him, after all she was making a joke. It made him feel a little better. "If you would like I could catch you a fish, that is if you are hungry." He watched the fish swim around. The fish seemed to enjoy the other side of the river, probably because of him falling in. Watching them only made his throat water.

He realized that he hadn't introduced himself to the cheetahess. He reminded himself that it was rude not to introduce himself. That and it would be nice to know a few more of the cheetahs in the pride. He hadn't met as many cheetahs as he would have liked to. "My name is Ajani. My mother and I just recently joined the pride. I have seen you around. You're an entertainer like me right?"

Tabia laughed, the sound silvery. It was the kind of laugh that haunted your dreams, and made you want to here it as often as you could, " I would love a fish. I rarely get a chance to eat any despite the river that runs through the Pride lands."

Her shapely ears swiveled forward and she gave him a graceful curtsy, " It is a pleasure to meet you Ajani. My name is Tabia, I knew your mother once upon a time. Though I doubt she would remember me now." Her golden eyes smouldered with a sensuality that took years to manage, " Yes, I am an entertainer, though someday I will be a Geisha." Her tone spoke of a firm convection in that dream becoming a fact.

"I love eating fish! I could eat it day or night!" Ajani blurted out without really thinking. He hoped that he didn't sound as dim witted as he thought he did. How many times must he make a fool of himself? "Let me see if I can catch you one. I used to catch a lot of fish for my mother when we lived in the other pride."

He watched her give him a curtsy. His heart felt like it skipped a beat. She really was a beautiful cheetahess. He had to stop himself from staring. The fish in the river caught his interest, giving him a reason to look away. It didn't last too long. He looked back at Tabia once she mentioned that she knew his mother.

"How could my mother forget such a kind cheetahess?" Ajani said with a smile. He wondered how they met and when. It had to be when he was really little, he decided. "You would an amazing Geisha. I bet it won't take long for you to reach that title."

His attention went back to the river. He batted at a couple fish, a bit playfully.

" Oh it was a very long time ago Ajani, and it was during a retrival mission. As I said, I doubt very much she remembers me." A shapely eyebrow raised when he mentioned kindness, it made her give a soft, smoky chuckle, " Kind? Ah..well that is relative, but thank you for saying so sweet Ajani."

She settled herself down on the rock, her khol lined eyes watching him fish, an amused, yet sensual smile on her muzzle as she did. " I hope I will be, it is a desire I have had since I was a cub. One I have ever intention of meeting. And you sweet Ajani, what made such a handsome youth decided to become an Entertainer and not fighter?" Her husky voice rolled over him like a gentle caress as he tail curled neatly along side her.

"Your welcome." He said as he tried to catch the fish. Her next question caught him off guard. No one had asked him why he decided to be an entertainer instead of a fighter, or any other position. He took a moment to think on it. His first thought was, 'To be around pretty girls' but he knew that it was a horribly shallow reason.

"Well I thought about being a fighter, but I have never been very strong. I didn't want to get beaten up all the time," he laughed at himself a little as he imagined himself fighting the male cheetahs in the pride. "It probably would have been easier to train though. I think watching the other entertainers preforming helped me decide. What made you decide to become an entertainer?"

Tabia watched him with her sultry eyes, a knowing look passing behind them as she regarded the young male, her expression amused, and friendly, " I can understand the logic, though I think with your build you could have been very quick in your fighting and used that to your advantage."

She laughed at his question, a paw coming to her chest as she smiled sensually at him, " Why Ajani, for the jewels of course, and the beautiful gifts, why else?" It was hard to tell if she was teasing or not, but the gleam in her golden eyes was mischievous, and made it seem as if she was.

Ajani nodded his head, he had never thought about using his small body to his advantage in a fight. He wasn't sure if Tabia was joking about her reason about becoming an entertainer. He had to wonder if his reason for joining were all the shallow. "You enjoy it don't you? I mean most of the entertainers, when they preform look like that are having a blast when ever they preform."

A fish swam closer to him. Quickly he swiped his paw into the water with his claws extended. He grinned at his capture. "It seems catching fish with my paw is a lot better." He said cheerfully. The fish stopped squirming around once he put it on the ground. It didn't take him too long to grab another one. "That should be good for now."

Tabia put her paw down, though the light in her eyes was still there, " I adore my job here within the Pride. I can't fathom doing anything else. Gods above, I'd be bored to tears I think if I wasn't what I am."

She eyed the fish hungrily, but waited until Ajani had his own before placing one refined paw on it and bending to eat delicately at the morsel, " Yes, I do think using your paw instead of your whole body worked much better for you."

Tabia gave him another sultry smile before she continued to eat, " Thank you for the gift of the fish sweet Ajani. Perhaps I can repay you some how for the meal." Her tone was sensual, husky, and for his ears only. Speaking the way only an entertainer could.

Ajani took a bite of his fish, allowing his stomach to fill up a bit. It was better than he thought it would be. He looked up at Tabia when she spoke to him quietly. As she spoke he felt himself get even more embarrassed. "Well there is something you can do for me." He said, mostly muttering. "I.. I was wondering if you would help me with some dances sometime? I just want to improve a bit, to the point where I am not falling down when I dance."

He hated asking for help, but he did not want to let this opportunity pass him by. "I would work hard and listen to everything you have to say." He added quickly, hoping to convince her. If she said yes, there might be hope for him as an entertainer yet, he thought to himself with glee.

Tabia smiled, it was full of promise, " I would be pleased to help you sweet Ajani. I usually have time in the afternoon, would that be good for you? Say about an hour before meal time?"

Her voice was filled with an inviting purr and she bent to finish her meal, " We will also work on the other skills you will need Ajani, besides those of dancing. Grace, poise, charm....by the time I am done with you...you will be most sought after." Tabia nodded, deciding that the young male was about to become her personal project.

Ajani nodded his head. "I can do that! I will make sure to keep my schedule free than." He couldn't wait to start the lessons. In his head he imagined himself, a bit older, but full of grace as he danced.

"Thank you so much for agreeing to help me. I will work as hard as I can so I will not disappoint you." He was almost grinning from ear to ear.
