RulesThis girl should never part from her twin or leave the pride they were planned to end up in. Please roleplay her! I know this is pretty much a given, but it doesn't hurt to add this in. No discouraging others, or discouraging yourself. I dont want to hear how bad you think are at something. Give it your best shot, and believe in yourself!

Sister DearName: Heknu Meaning: Song Of Praise (Kemetic) Siblings: HesitNotes On The Sisters: Former Pridelanders Had a good, loving cubhood Loved their pride, but wanted to find one more tight knit Had a relatively rough time in the rogue lands that only made them closer Both sisters are dancers/singers and routinely perform together Aren't sure of who's older anymore. (They sometimes playfully bicker about it.) Hesit is a relatively sweet, unobtrusive girl. She's definitely loving, and probably dotes on her sister like there's no tomorrow. She generally follows her sister's lead and is fairly easy-going. Heknu is generally the same but also wants to be the leader and becomes lost if there's no one to lead. Almost a know it all but not as annoying. She just likes to get things done. Probably the one that makes the final go ahead on their decisions. Miscellaneous: These two are going to wind up in the En Gedi, and may possibly have a triplet on the way who will be played by Nerpin. Hesit and Heknu have been posted to be transferred onto the Newest Rogue lines, as the lack of a head tuft suits their Pridelander blood better. If/when they are redone, their images here will be updated. Prompt 1You have been leading your sister through the Rogue Lands for quite some time now, and up until now you've known where you were going. But recently you've found yourself lost! What do you do? Do you tell Hesit, or do you keep just how turned around you are to yourself? And for that matter, where were you going in the first place? Prompt 2You and Hesit have been practicing your performances together for quite some time, and you've never had problems until today. For some reason, Hesit has been spaced out all day, and right in the middle of practicing the grand finale she slipped and twisted her paw! What do you do? Do you scold your sister for her clumsiness, or try to make her feel better? Do you ask her what had her so distracted or leave it be? Prompt 3If the other two prompts didn't catch your eye, this one gives you a bit of freedom! You can write about whatever you want here, but there is a catch! You have to include the words flying, gypsy, and dew somewhere in your response. LET ME SING!

LET ME SING!
Username: Redbud-Tree What are your plans for Heknu? I'd need some time to think about details, but I can definitely say that I would be willing to talk and plan out anything in advance. Do you accept she cannot leave her sister or the En Gedi? Completely. :3 Prompt Number: 1 Prompt Response: "I know it's around here somewhere," Heknu muttered, glancing around surreptitiously. She had been leading Hesit to a water hole, but they should have reached it over an hour ago. At the very least, they should be able to smell it by this point... if it was anywhere nearby. If it hadn't spontaneously dried up (and the lioness didn't think so, because there had been no areas that bore any resemblance to the location of the water hole), then that left only one reasonable explanation:
They were lost. Heknu couldn't imagine how this had happened - her sense of direction had never failed her before, so why had it now? Frowning, she glanced over at her twin and wondered if she should tell her that they were... a little farther from their destination than she had thought. But she could find out what direction they needed to go in, she just needed a few minutes. It wouldn't do to worry Hesit unnecessarily, after all. Yes, that was a good plan - the best plan.
"Let's stop here for a moment," she said, before taking a seat and inspecting their surroundings. "You can relax for a little while; I'm going to go look around." With that, she trotted off a short distance to inspect their surroundings, hoping that she could find something, anything that would point her in the right direction.
But there was nothing.
This just wasn't working.
With a sigh, she turned and prepared to admit the truth to Hesit. Maybe together they could find the water hole... or any location, really, so long as they knew where they were again. Ugh, she hated being lost! She would have to be sure to never lt this happen again. Ever.

LET ME SING!
Username: Ameh What are your plans for Heknu? I both love old PL blood and En Gedi, and would think it fitting for such a transfer of already traditionally familial and close pride members to an even closer bonded pride. I would simply want Heknu to be satisfied with where they end up in the En Gedi and settle there, perhaps fuse some of her PL heritage with the new ones learned in the En Gedi. Not sure if I could find or think of anything dramatic for her, but I would be up to that if an opportunity appears; mostly, I'd rather her life to be quite happy and peaceful. Do you accept she cannot leave her sister or the En Gedi? Yes! Prompt Number: 1 Prompt Response: A multitude of seasons had seemed to pass the two lionesses on their long journey from Pride Rock. It was the last thing Heknu had seen of her home, but also the first thing that gave her the encouragement and spirit to move her on her travel with Hesit.
Heknu had been content with the Pridelanders - perhaps even a little too intertwined with the society and the assumed bond between all members. But there were quite a number to actually remember - even though she had started learning names and faces since she was a budding and eager cub, there was some sense of loss in the populous yet scattered pride. There could possibly have been somewhere else - somewhere that housed lions with similar ideals, but in a smaller community. Perhaps her talents of dancing and singing would even be the norm there. And that concept - that whim was the driving force for Heknu and Hesit's present journey.
So the two grew weary but resilient paws on their trek, passing by some prides, some packs, some scattered groups... But none matched the level of paradise envisioned in Heknu's mind. Hesit sometimes stopped to say she would be content in simply settling for less than what they imagined, but Heknu knew those words were out of kindness and respect to everything they encountered. So Heknu made it clear that they were not to stop until they had found something... more.
There had been many tales of this one pride - the En Gedi, which had many lions rich in their gold and brown pelts - this sparked the interest of Heknu, who immediately remembered her own vibrant and golden pride. The two were lucky to have run into strangers that told them of the place, but quite recently, the two had trouble running into those with the same knowledge of the pride. As Heknu was naturally apt and intelligent, she knew the general direction the two were supposed to go. But, intelligence only goes so far, and they had been walking in practically the middle of nowhere for quite some time. Heknu told herself and Hesit that she was confident they were well on their way, but...
Heknu realized rather abruptly that she, in actuality, did not know where they were going. In that moment, she stopped, gathering a suspiciously concerned look from Hesit.
"What?" Hesit inquired, eyes alight with curiosity, "Did you see something?"
Heknu mumbled out loud instinctively; it was a habit, as she was usually the one who led - which meant she was usually the one who had the answers. But there were none, and the two were considerably lost. That was the only answer. It took no time for Hesit to understand Heknu's unspoken words and expression.
"We're lost, aren't we?" Hesit said simply, though retaining a supportive smile in spite of the problem.
"We are," Heknu replied accordingly, shaking her head.
And the problem all seemed to fall on Heknu's shoulder - Heknu had been the one to lead them out of the pridelands, and definitely had been the one to lead them so far to the En Gedi. It was Heknu who took responsibility for their direction, as she felt lost if she was not the one who controlled the situation. But now was a difficult situation in which despite her control of the situation, she still found herself lost with Hesit.
"We'll just keep on going," Heknu said.
She was not one to flounder while time passed by needlessly in a situation. She felt the weight of the responsibility for the two of them on her shoulders, but she would not fall to it. She knew they were close, and that their new lives would soon be revealed. She knew they could not continue on this journey without her lead. And so, she would act and lead now, despite being lost, without regret for what may come.

Username: -_Wish of the Goddess_- What are your plans for Heknu? When they join the pride, Likely, I can see Heknu being a bit on edge, but calming as soon as she and her sister are accepted. I think she’ll likely be a Mummer in the pride, and I intend on her following such a path, to grow her and her sister’s art. She’ll be very overprotective, and critical of any males that approach her sister, and very lost when any male tries to approach her. Basically, she’ll be her sister’s leader without really leading, and treat her in such a way as befitting a big sister. I may have some big event come along, like Heknu getting injured, or something, to kind of see what happens between her and her sister, were something like that to happen, but that’s just random speculation >> Ignore the wishling. Do you accept she cannot leave her sister or the En Gedi? Completely. Prompt Number: 2 Prompt Response:
If you were to ask the two Lionesses who were rehearsing a routine in the middle of the savannah just WHAT they were doing, the one seeming to be doing the directing would likely tell you that it was something very important, and to leave them be. Henku was proud of her work, and her sister’s for that matter. They were good dancers, and superb singers, and she loved that it reflected so well. Of course….Heknu had noticed something strange this morning. When they’d woken, Hesit had been oddly distracted, her eyes distant and her moves more clumsy than usual. This did not sit well with the self-proclaimed older of the two. Green eyes watched her sister’s movements with careful criticism as the other femme seemed to stumble over herself. This worried Heknu greatly. She was going to end up getting-
And that thought process was cut off as halfway through the finale, her prediction proved true. Hesit tripped, twisting her paw about and making Heknu cry out in fear for her sister’s well-being. Running over to the other lioness, she lathed her tongue gently over the newly acquired injury, a frown on her maw. This wouldn’t have happened if Hesit had gotten her head in the act instead of dreaming. Such thoughts mulled about in the golden lioness’ mind as she carefully examined her sister’s paw for lasting damage. She couldn’t have Hesit hurt for good. No….That would be very bad. ”….What’s in your head, Hesit. You’re not usually like this…”
The vacant half-smile that she got in answer worried the lioness further. If she and Hesit were going to make it out here, they needed to be healthy and alert. She glanced about, huffing, ”You’re going to need to rest.” It sounded like she knew what she was talking about, even if the once Pridelander was only taking a stab in the dark. Her sharp gaze found a cave in the distance….or what looked like one, that would make a good resting point for she and Hesit. They’d need to get their strength up, after all, if they wanted to keep going. Supporting her sister, she led her to what turned out to be a cave-like overhang. Situating themselves in the crag, she wrapped herself around her sister, cuddling her gently.
Heknu’s tongue ran over her sister’s ear, and she sighed softly, “I swear….You can’t afford to space out like that. But no matter what happens to you, we’ll be together. “ She noted that Hesit’s eyes were closed when she said that, and felt the other’s breathing even out. Maybe she was just tired or something. No matter. Heknu knew that even as tired and lost as she was about what to do….she had to keep playing the game, had to keep being the leader and making sure that Hesit was safe. They were sisters after all.
For what is stronger in this world than a bond of familial blood? Heknu didn’t know, but she knew that at this moment, she didn’t care….Dammit……Hesit just had to go sprain her paw, didn’t she? Well…one day’s rest wouldn’t kill them…and maybe her head would be in the routine tomorrow.

Username: MoonRazor What are your plans for Heknu? For the most part, she’d have a good time learning to fit in and adjust to the En Gedi, but at some point I would love to get some drama going between the two sisters. I’m thinking maybe some sort of plot involving another lion (if female, then a friend; if male, then a love interest perhaps) in which she is so taken by this new lion that she begins to neglect her relationship with her sister, which could cause angst and drama and hissy fits or whatnot. Eventually, she’d learn that you can’t beat what she has with Hesit, and scale back on that other relationship, but probably not until something happens to make her really understand that she could someday lose her sister. Do you accept she cannot leave her sister or the En Gedi? Indeed x3 Prompt Number: One Prompt Response: Okay. Okay. So, we’re lost. Heknu thought to herself. The golden lioness sat alone, back stiff, toes twitching, tail rising and falling to beat the ground in an erratic rhythm. Having convinced Hesit to take a brief nap, she had managed to find a moment without her sister’s company – a moment that she now used to express her pent-up frustrations and anxieties. This, she did by fidgeting: the tail, the toes, the dancing nose and flickering ears. Away from it all, she was really a jittery thing, especially under great duress.
And what great duress she was under now. They were lost – lost, for heaven’s sakes, and it was all her doing! It was a humbling moment, but now that the effects of her epiphany (she had realized, for what seemed to be the first time, that she could be wrong) had worn off, she had been reduced to a bundle of nerves. Never before had she been confronted with the vast, unknowable world outside her childhood home, and now here she was, stuck, with nothing to guide her. There was nothing to dispel her fears or confirm her hunches, nothing to give her reassurances that she was indeed headed somewhere meaningful. This was not what she had bargained for.
Not. The time to panic. She thought again, trying her best to reassure herself. Heknu was both her own psychologist and sage source of wisdom when the need arose. Who best to provide both, after all, than the one who knew her best? Of course, Hesit came an incredibly close second and, being an outside observer, could probably have done a better job with both but the point right now was not to become a calm, restrained Heknu. The point right now was to find her way without panicking her sister. So Heknu would have to do.
We’re lost. I don’t know how to get unlost. I think I’ve seen that tree before. Even in her mind, Heknu was a babbler when she was unsure of herself. Her tongue had a way of running itself without a filter and without much logical progression when her mind became too fixated on something, and in this instance, that something was their state of utter… lostness. There is no babbling brook. What am I looking for?
Wait… She paused abruptly, and ran the sequence of thoughts back through her head. Realizing that it had made absolutely no sense, she reined her terror in – momentarily anyway. The babbling had been a sure sign that she had run out of ideas. I think it’s time to tell Hesit. She decided, nodding firmly to herself. Yes, that was the smart and logical decision, and it was exactly what she had to do. All the while, she fidgeted.
Maybe… she’ll get scared. She’s not supposed to get scared, though. I thought I was the leader. I won’t tell Hesit.
But she’ll know sooner or later. I should tell her.
Yes. I’m going to tell her. That is final. With another nod, Heknu rose from her wide-eyed, unblinking pose and turned to find her sister. Hesit had awakened from her nap by the time Heknu arrived back in the clearing they had found, and the darker lioness was busy grooming herself, completely oblivious to the situation that her lighter sister had managed to plunge them into. Such ignorance… it warmed Heknu’s heart to see her sister sitting there, so confident in Heknu’s abilities and without a care in the world. Her step faltered, and she approached with hesitation.
By the time Hesit glanced up and to catch sight of Heknu, the bright lioness’ mind had been made up. “How was your nap? We’re headed that-a-way. We’ll be there in no time.”

LET ME SING! Username: What are your plans for Heknu? Not really sure, though I'd be more than happy to bounce back and forth over any ideas~ I would like to do something confrontational at some point though so far as RP goes. The sisters are both so easy going it'd be nice to put them in a situation that would force them to be at odds with one another for them to have to work through it. :3 Do you accept she cannot leave her sister or the En Gedi? Prompt Number: Prompt Response:Tails swishing and shaking roughly, the two sisters Henku and Hesit shook off the morning dew from their pelts as they stretched and yawned. Hesit sat and watched her sister paw at the ground, "What is it?"
"You know, we've been doing the same routines for ages. We should try something new," the brighter-coated lioness humphed. She felt a bit...restless. Maybe it was from the wandering, but a new act with her sister would certainly shake her anxiety away. Hesit nodded, eager to agree with her partner. She also thought it would be nice to have something different to focus on, "What did you have in mind?"
Henku paused, thinking, then sang, "Wandering far The gypsy birds sing Their feathers glistening like a moonlit--thing." she sighed and her sister chuckled.
"Haven't lost your touch have you?"
"Oh, don't start with me you!" Henku growled playfully, nudging her sister.
"Or what? You'll send my flying? Like a gypsy bird? Ooooo, I'm scared!" Hesit teased, squirming her way under her sister as if she were trying to hide.
Henku laughed heartily; leave it to her sister to make her feel like a cub again. She was glad she had a partner, the lioness would have gone crazy being alone all this time. She shoved her sister out from under her and took off, trotting over the savanna.
"C'mon, let's go! We'll think of something better on the way."

LET ME SING!
Username: Sabra Knight What are your plans for Heknu? At the moment nothing much beyond what is required, she’ll stick to her sister and travel to the En Gadi.
I have several potential ideas though, but that needs to be discussed first. Possibly a love triangle? Of course Heknu would never let a male steal her sister away, but she would hold back on her own feelings for the happiness of her sister…
But one which is a definite possibility would be Heknu getting sick and losing her voice. Nothing serious of course, after some rest and time, she’ll be able to sing and speak fine again. But it would give her cause to reflect and to wonder about what she would do if she wasn’t an entertainer. I’m hoping that she would have made friends with a scribe in the pride at that point and she would become interested in that – even though once she learns that she’ll be fine an entertainer will always be her role for as long as she’s able- and try to learn so that she can write down the random lyrics which come to her. Just as a record for others. Do you accept she cannot leave her sister or the En Gedi? Prompt Number: 2 Prompt Response:
Oh how things were going so wonderfully. Heknu was good at leading them astray –not that she would ever admit that!- but at least all of their practices had been going well. The lioness watched her sister with a small smile. Who could beat them? They were an ultimate team. When it came to dancing it was like both were pieces of the same soul, their dance pulling them away yet struggling to reunite them at the same time. Honestly, Heknu was afraid of what would happen to her own performance without the comforting presence of her sister there dancing beside of her. She wouldn’t say such things out loud because that was the way she was, yet just the way her gaze watched her sister dancing alongside her showed the lioness’s absolute devotion and love to her sibling. Maybe that was why she always wanted to be a know-it-all, a leader. Because she couldn’t let her sister down. Despite the fights, she felt that it was a necessity for her to lead the way when they were in any situation. Else how would they get anywhere? It was her loving devotion that fueled her courage and determination.
That devotion of course was smothered by slight annoyance as their routine was broken by her sister’s stumble. Always the leader, the one to know everything, Heknu automatically jumped forward to look over her sister. “Hesit!” She circled her sister and glared. “What is going on in that head of yours, sister? I swear!” She shook her head, torn between worry and annoyance. “Can’t you at least manage to stay with me through this routine?” She didn’t give pause to let Hesit speak. Instead the lioness was lightly touching her sister’s paw, “Is it alright? Can you stand? You know the last thing an entertainer needs is a broken limb. Not to mention when she’s also traveling through the rogue lands. We have no real home to rest in. What if it’s serious? What do we do then? Did you think of that before you started to daydream?”
“I’m fine.”
“You sure about that?” Heknu nosed her sister’s paw, her tone suddenly softer than before.
“Why? Do you not trust me to know my own pain?” Her sister looked a bit defensive about what had just happened. “Do you want to instruct me on that as well?”
“Hesit!” Heknu took a startled step back. What had her so upset? She tested the ground, maybe it wasn’t anything – could dear Hesit be pulling her strings? “I’m your older sis-“
“I don’t even want to bicker over that, Heknu. I’m tired. So please allow me to rest my paw a bit.” The lioness gave a small smile before limping back off, away from her sister.
Heknu just watched her go with a frown. Normally she would have persisted and argued with Hesit – but something was really off about her sister today. What was it that could have distracted her so? It had to be something serious. She wasn’t hurt, but worried. Had her sister been on the verge of tears? Had she handled it wrong? No – yet, she felt off. “Well no worries! I’ll practice on my own.” But now she was the one distracted. Cursing softly under her breath the lioness repeatedly stumbled on steps which should have been as familiar to her as air. Oh this wasn’t working.
Later that evening Heknu silently slipped up to Hesit and without a word sat down beside of her sister. Lying her head on her sister’s shoulder, the lioness watched the sunset with her. Both were quiet, peaceful. Still Heknu felt wrong, “Hesit – I’m…”
“It’s okay, I’m-“
“Don’t you dare finish that. I’m the one who needs to say sorry.”
Hesit gave a soft laugh, “Alright. I forgive you.”
“Good.” A pause, “Will you tell me what happened to you today?”
“I will…just not now.”
“Alright. But I’ll get it out of you sometime.”
“Of course.” Both of them laughed, their voices carrying out warmly into the night air.
